dc.description.abstractEvidence of an autocatalytic radical chain pathway has been reported in formation of a non-heme iron(iv)-oxo complex by oxidation of an iron(ii) complex with dioxygen and isopropanol in acetonitrile at 298 K. The radical chain reaction is initiated by hydrogen abstraction from isopropanol by the iron(iv)-oxo complex. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.*
