성인 피아노 교육의 인식도 조사와 발전방향에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 현재 피아노 교육을 받고 있지 않는 성인들의 성인 피아노 교육에 대한 인식을 조사하고, 앞으로 보다 효과적이고 바람직한 성인 피아노 교육의 발전방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 성인 피아노 학습자의 특성, 현대 사회와 성인 피아노 교육, 국내 성인 전문 피아노 교육 현황 사례 조사에 관한 이론적 배경에 대하여 고찰하고 서울시를 중심으로 과거 피아노를 배운 경험의 유무에 관계없이 현재 피아노를 배우고 있지 않는 20대 – 50대 이상 남 ․ 여 성인 319명 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지의 내용은 연구의 목적에 맞게 인적 사항과 피아노 학습 경험 여부, 피아노 교육에 대한 전반적인 인식, 피아노 교육 장소 및 환경, 피아노 학습 시 연주하고 싶은 곡의 유형, 피아노 학습 시 레슨 유형, 지도교사 스타일, 피아노 교육을 통한 자기실현방법 및 향후 방향에 대한 인식을 묻는 내용으로 설문지를 제작하였다. 분석 방법으로는 SPSS WIN 21.0v 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 조사대상자의 일반적 특성, 피아노 교육에 대한 경험 및 인식을 알아보기 위하여 빈도분석(Frequency Analysis)과 기술통계(Descriptive Analysis), 다중응답 내 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 선호하는 피아노 교육 장소를 묻는 질문에서는 성인 전문 피아노 학원과 개인지도가 같은 응답률로 가장 높게 조사되었으며, 선호하는 교육 환경은 다른 악기 등 다양한 교육기자재를 활용하는 곳을 가장 선호하였다. 성인들은 1달에 4회 레슨 기준으로 수강료의 적정 수준은 10 - 14만원을 가장 선호하는 것으로 파악되었으며, 향후 성인 피아노 교육 프로그램에 있어서 개설되기 희망하는 프로그램은 실생활 중심의 실용 프로그램이 개설되기를 희망한다고 응답하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 성인 피아노 교육현장의 개선과 운영에 도움을 주고, 향후 피아노 교육을 받게 될 성인들을 위하여 바람직한 자료로 활용되기를 바란다.;This study investigates recognitions about piano education for grown-up of adults whom are not being educated piano currently and aim to provide improvement directions of effective and desirable piano education for them. To this end, we considered some theoretical backgrounds about characteristics of adult piano students, adult piano education in contemporary society and case studies of domestic piano education for adults. For this study, a survey was conducted amongst 319 male/female respondents aged 20 to 50, who live in Seoul, regardless of being educated or not. The questionnaire was designed to investigate personal information, experiences of piano education, overall perception about the education, place and environment of the education, type of pieces they want to play, format of lessons, tutors’ teaching style, means of self-expression through piano education and respondents’ perception of future direction after piano education. SPSS WIN 21.0v was used to analyze the data. Frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, and multiple response analysis were carried out to find out respondents’ general characteristics and their experience and perception about piano education. The result of this study is as follows. The majority of respondents prefer piano education by institutes for adults and personal tutors as same rate. The most favorite educational environment appears to be the place where learners are able to use multiple instruments and learning materials. The range of the most preferred tuition fee is between 100,000 and 140,000 won for four times a month. The majority of respondents also desire that musical institutes would launch more practical courses centered on real life in near future. Lastly, this study could make significant contributions on adult piano education by proposing innovative ideas for piano education management and providing basic data for the improvement of adult piano education.
