중도입국 초등학생 대상 한국어 교육을 위한 아동문학 선정

Abstract

The aim of this study is to choose children's literature for teaching Korean language to immigrant elementary school students. Children's literature is an appropriate teaching material for teaching Korean language to immigrant elementary school students in several ways which can make immigrant elementary school students experience Korean culture and life and develop cognitive and social ability, and emotional strength through psychological and emotional aspects which the immigrant elementary school students should experience at that time. In order that this children's literature make full use of Korean language education for immigrant elementary school children, this study described what kind of children's literature should be chosen. The specific research problem is as follow: 1. The selection of children's literature for teaching Korean language to immigrant elementary school children. To achieve the aim of this research, this study suggested children's literature list as an auxiliary textbook which can be used in primary school on the basis of recommended book list which is used in the field. Primary selection literature list which is extracted from the collected recommended book list is modified by the second standard of selection on basis of adequate elements which should be considered in children's literature and Korean language education. This study suggested the final children's literature list and educational implication of the children's literature list. The summaries of the result of this study are as follows: Firstly, this study suggested children's literature selection list for the immigrant elementary school students who are in primary school before entering elementary school. After collecting the recommended book list in real elementary school and extracting duplication of the list, this study presented the children's literature selection list by standard of selection which make up for the weak points about ability of Korean language education, element of children's literature and the prejudice and perspective on multicultural family. Secondly, the children's literature selection list which is suggested in this study is possible to have an effect on the aspect of age-specific development and improve academic achievement ability through a subject connection literature. The literary experience by reading books helps to form community society between immigrant elementary school students and regular schools students, to increase communication fluency and confidence of immigrant students and to adapt the Korean culture and way of life indirectly. After practice of above research project, the significance of the study can be indicated as follows. Firstly, this study included various genres of children's literature among other researches of teaching Korean language to immigrant elementary school students. Secondly, this study provided practical material to immigrant elementary school students by analyzing recommended book list which is used in the field. Lastly, this study suggested children's literature selection list as a material which can be used in Korean language education.;본 연구의 목적은 중도입국 초등학생 대상의 한국어 교육을 위한 아동문학을 선정하는 데에 있다. 아동문학은 중도입국 초등학생의 한국어 능력과 한국 생활 및 문화를 간접적으로 체험할 수 있게 하며, 해당 연령에서 겪어야 하는 심리적, 정서적 측면의 내용을 통해 인지적, 정서적, 사회적 측면의 발달을 도모할 수 있어 중도입국 초등학생의 한국어 교육을 위한 교육 자료로서 적절하다. 이러한 아동문학을 중도입국 초등학생을 대상으로 한국어 교육에서 활용하기 위하여 어떤 아동문학 작품을 선정이 필요한지 서술하였다. 이를 밝히기 위한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 연구 문제 1. 중도입국 초등학생 대상의 한국어 교육을 위하여 어떤 아동문학 작품을 선정해야 하는가? 연구를 위하여 예비학교 등에서 활용 가능한 부교재로서 아동문학 선정목록을 제시하고자 하였으며, 바탕이 되는 자료로서 실제 초등학교에서 활용되는 권장도서목록을 수집하였다. 수집한 권장도서목록은 중복 도서를 추출한 1차 선정과 1차 선정 도서를 한국어 교육에서의 활용성과 아동문학에서 고려되어야 하는 요소의 적절성을 바탕으로 한 2차 선정 기준을 통해 도서목록으로 재정비하였다. 최종적으로 재정비된 아동문학 선정목록을 제시하고, 아동문학 선정목록이 가지는 교육적 함의에 대해 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 대해 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정규학교 진입 전 예비학교 등에서 머무는 중도입국 초등학생이 활용할 수 있는 아동문학 선정목록을 제시하였다. 실제 초등학교의 권장도서목록을 수집하여 중복 도서를 추출하고, 한국어 교육의 활용성과 아동문학의 요소, 그리고 관점 및 편견에 대한 내용을 보충한 선정 기준을 통해 아동문학 선정목록을 제시하였다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 제시한 아동문학 선정목록은 초등학생이라는 연령별 발달 측면의 효과를 가질 수 있으며, 교과연계도서를 통한 학업 성취 능력의 향상이 가능하다. 도서를 통한 문학적 경험은 중도입국 초등학생과 일반학생 간의 공동체 형성에 도움이 되고, 의사소통의 유창성과 자신감 상승, 한국 문화 요소 및 실생활 요소 간접 접근의 가능성을 볼 수 있다. 이상과 같은 연구를 바탕으로, 본 연구가 갖는 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중도입국 초등학생 대상의 한국어 교육 연구 중에서도 아동문학의 다양한 장르를 포괄하였다. 둘째, 초등학교에서 실제 활용되고 있는 권장도서목록을 분석하여 중도입국 초등학생에게 실제적인 자료를 제공할 수 있다. 셋째, 아동문학 선정목록을 한국어 교육에서 활용가능한 제재로서 제시하였다.
