서울시 지역아동센터 음악프로그램의 실태 및 음악강사 인식 조사

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 서울시 지역아동센터 음악프로그램의 실태 및 음악강사 인식을 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울시 지역아동센터에서 음악프로그램을 진행하는 음악강사 62명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구 문제에 따라 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 개방형 문항에 대해서는 크레스웰(Creswell, 2015)의 나선형 질적 자료 분석을 시행하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악프로그램의 내용에 관해 분석한 결과, 지역아동센터에서는 바이올린과 피아노 위주의 기악교육이 가장 많이 이루어지고 있었지만 대부분의 강사들은 타 유형 음악프로그램의 필요성을 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 운영 횟수 및 시간에 대해 분석한 결과, 음악프로그램은 주로 일주일에 1회, 한 회당 1시간으로 진행되고 있었으며 많은 강사들은 현재 운영하는 횟수 및 시간에 대해 적절하다고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 참여 아동에 대해 분석한 결과, 주로 10명 이하의 아동들이 음악프로그램에 참여하고 있었으며 강사들은 음악프로그램에 대한 아동의 참여가 높은 수준인 반면에 학부모의 관심은 비교적 낮은 수준으로 인식하고 있었다. 넷째, 음악프로그램의 목표 및 성과에 대해 분석한 결과, 강사들은 음악프로그램의 목표와 효과에 대해 정서적 안정을 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 다섯째, 음악프로그램의 교육환경에 대해 분석한 결과, 대부분의 지역아동센터에서는 음악프로그램을 위한 독립된 공간을 확보하고 있었으며 수업 공간에 대해 적절하다고 인식하는 강사들이 더 많았다. 반면, 악기 및 교구에 대해서는 적절하지 않다고 인식하는 강사들이 더 많았다. 이에 따라 강사들은 악기 및 교구 지원에 대한 개선의 필요성을 가장 높게 인식하고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 지역아동센터 음악프로그램에 대한 지역사회의 적극적인 관심과 추가적인 재정지원이 필요함을 시사하고 있다. 본 연구는 서울시 지역아동센터 음악프로그램의 실태 및 음악강사 인식을 조사함으로써 향후 음악프로그램의 효과적인 운영과 교육환경의 발전을 위한 기초 자료를 제시하는 것에 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 통해 문화적으로 소외된 아동들이 보다 다양한 음악적 경험을 누릴 수 있도록 국가차원의 제도적 장치가 마련되기를 기대한다.;The purpose of the study was to investigate the operational condition and music teacher's perception on music programs at children's community center in Seoul. The survey was distributed to 62 music teachers working at children's community center in Seoul. The frequencies and percentages were calculated using SPSS version 23.0. And open questions were analyzed using the Creswell(2015)'s spiral analysis methods. The following summarizes the research results. First, the survey revealed that the most frequently provided program was playing musical instruments. Especially, there were many violin and piano programs. But most of the teachers showed need for different types of music programs. Second, the survey revealed that the music classes were provided one hour once a week. Also, most teachers were satisfied with the time and frequency. Third, according to survey, the number of children participating in the music program is 10 or less. And, the respondents recognized that children actively participated. But they thought parents' attention and interest were not adequate. Fourth, the result showed that the most important goal and effect of music programs that teachers perceive were emotional stability for children. Fifth, it was found that most centers had independent space for music classes. And many teachers thought the space was adequate because it was enough for musical activities. However the participants felt financial need for musical instruments. The above results implied that music programs at children's community center need additional subsidies from local community. It is hoped that this results would provide basic data for effective operation and development of educational environment of music programs at children's community center. In the future, national and regional support that can help culturally disadvantaged children enjoy a variety of musical experience should be provided.
