고등학교 문법 교과서의 실생활 연계 학습활동의 역사적 변천 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 실생활 속 언어 사용 문제와 문법교육이 유리되지 않도록 고등학교 문법 교과서 언어 단위 단원 학습활동의 실생활 연계 양상을 역사적으로 살펴보는 데 있다. 국어과 교육과정의 변천에 따라 국어교육에서 실생활과의 연계를 꾸준히 강조하고 있지만 실제 언어생활 속 잘못된 언어 사용의 문제는 더욱 심각해지고 있다. 실생활 연계 문법교육이 실제 언어 사용 문제의 개선에 직결되는 단 하나의 해결책은 아니지만, 교육적 관점에서 실제 언어 사용 문제의 개선을 문법교육이 맡아야 할 과제라고 보았을 때 문법교육에서 가장 중요한 교수·학습의 매개체인 문법 교과서를 살펴보는 것은 연구의 가치가 있다. 따라서 문법 교과서 중 실생활에 쓰임이 가장 많은 단원인 언어 단위 단원을 연구 대상으로 설정하고, 세부적으로는 실생활과의 연계가 뚜렷이 드러나는 단원 구성 요소인 학습활동을 연구 대상으로 설정하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 고등학교 문법 교과서 언어 단위 단원 실생활 연계 학습활동의 역사적 변천 양상을 분석하였다. Ⅱ장의 A절에서는 선행 연구를 통해 기존에 명확히 제시되지 못하던 실생활 연계 문법교육의 개념 및 목표·의의를 제시하였고, B절에서는 국어과 교육과정별 실생활 연계 문법교육의 전개 양상을 내용체계 및 내용요소 분석을 통해 살펴보았다. Ⅱ장 C절에서는 본격적인 역사적 변천 분석을 위한 문법 교과서 실생활 연계 학습활동의 개념 및 내용 범위를 설정하고, 본 연구를 위한 두 가지 분석 기준을 마련하였다. 이에 따라 Ⅲ장에서는 고등학교 문법 교과서 언어 단위 단원 실생활 연계 학습활동의 역사적 변천 양상을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 실생활 관련 자료가 다양해지고 실생활 연계 학습활동의 개수가 증가하였음을 확인하였다. 그러나 실생활 관련 자료 분포의 편차와 교수·학습의 결과 실생활에 적용하는 학습활동의 부족, 단원 구성 요소 간 실생활 연계 학습활동 분포의 편차 등의 문제점 또한 나타남을 확인하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅲ장의 분석 결과를 토대로 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방향을 설정하고, 이를 위한 구체적인 방안을 제안하였다. 먼저 실생활 관련 자료 분포의 편차 문제를 해결하기 위한 방향으로 실생활 관련 자료의 다양성 추구를 제시하며, 이를 위해 학습활동 내 다양한 실생활 관련 자료 연계 방안을 제안하였다. 실생활에 적용하는 학습활동의 부족과 관련된 문제의 경우 교수·학습의 결과로서 실생활과의 연계 중시를 강조하며 실생활 연계 학습활동의 평가 기준 제시를 개선 방안으로 제안하였다. 마지막으로, 단원 구성 요소 간 실생활 분포의 편차 감소를 위한 방안으로는 언어 단위 단원 구성 방식의 한계에 대한 인식의 전환을 제안하였다.;The purpose of this study is to investigate how learning activities connected with real life have been historically changed in Korean high school grammar textbooks, particularly within a chapter on language units, to minimize the gap between grammar instruction and the actual use of language in everyday life. Although it has been constantly emphasized along with the change of Korean language curriculum that learning activities in textbooks should be related to real life, problems from incorrect language use becomes worse than ever. Of course, connecting grammar instruction with real life is not be the only possible solution for those problems mentioned above. However, from a pedagogical perspective in which incorrect language use is believed to be improved through grammar instruction, it will be meaningful to analyze grammar textbooks which are regarded as the most important medium of teaching and learning process. The structure of this study is as follows. Based on previous studies, part A from chapter Ⅱ presents not only the definition of grammar instruction related to real life but also its aim and significance which have not been clearly presented so far. In part B, the changes in the aspects of grammar instruction related to real life according to each Korean language curriculum are investigated through the analysis on content structures and content elements. In part C, the meaning of learning activities is defined and the scope of contents is set up prior to analyzing their historical changes. In addition, two criteria for analysis are also addressed in part C. Based on the result from chapter Ⅲ, the detailed solutions are suggested in chapter Ⅳ. First of all, the diversification of materials related to everyday life is required to solve the problems of disproportionate distribution of the real life-related materials. Accordingly, a plan to combine a variety of real life-related materials within learning activities is presented. Also, for the lack of learning activities which enable the actual application to real life, to include such elements in the activities should be considered more. Moreover, to set up the criteria for evaluation of learning activities is also suggested as a possible solution. Lastly, to minimize the gap in distribution of learning activities among each phase in a chapter, to change the awareness on such limitation of how to organize a chapter on language units can be a possible solution as well.
