Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 석사학위 졸업 연주 작품을 연구한 것으로 로베르트 슈만(Robert Schumann, 1810-1856)의 연가곡 『Lieder und Gesäenge aus Wilhelm Meister(빌헬름 마이스터의 노래)』에 나오는 9개의 노래 中 제 1곡“Kennst du das Land”, 제 3곡“Nur wer die Sehnsucht kennt”, 제 5곡“Heiß mich nicht reden, heiß mich schweigen”, 제 9곡“So laßt mich scheinen, bis ich werde”와 조아키노 안토니오 로시니(Gioachino Antonio Rossini, 1792-1887)의 연가곡 『La regata veneziana(베네치아의 곤돌라 경주)』, 랜돈 로날드(Landon Ronald, 1873-1938)의 연가곡 『A cycle of life(삶의 순환)』을 중심으로 작곡가의 생애와 곡들의 특징을 살펴봄으로써 이 작품들을 이해하는데 도움을 주고자한다. 로베르트 슈만(Robert Schumann, 1810-1856)은 문학과 철학에 조예가 깊었으며 그러한 예술성을 자신의 가곡에 낭만적으로 표현했다. 『Lieder und Gesäenge aus Wilhelm Meister(빌헬름 마이스터의 노래)』는 괴테(Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 1749-1832)의 소설 <Wilhelm Meister Lehrjahre(빌헬름 마이스터의 수업시대)>에서 따온 9개의 시로 구성된 작품이다. 본 논문에서는 제1, 3, 5, 9번의 곡을 다루었다. 이 연가곡은 신비하고 이국적인 소녀 미뇽의 빌헬름을 향한 사랑의 감정 변화가 나타나있다. 조아키노 안토니오 로시니(Gioachino Antonio Rossini, 1792-1887)는 고전시대에서 낭만시대로 넘어가는 시기에 활동한 작곡가로써 두 시대의 특징을 모두 지니고 있는 이탈리아의 작곡가이다. 그의 연가곡『La regata veneziana(베네치아의 곤돌라 경주)』는 인물의 상황과 감정변화를 잘 묘사 하였다. 이탈리아 베네치아 지방의 곤돌라 경주 행사를 배경으로 총 3곡으로 이루어진 연가곡이다. 랜돈 로날드(Landon Ronald, 1873-1938)의 작품은 가사에 맞는 서정적 선율을 사용하여 시를 섬세하게 나타내는 것이 특징이다. 그의 연가곡 『A cycle of life(삶의 순환)』는 총 5개의 곡으로 구성되어 있으며, 심슨(Harold Simpson, 1872-1949)의 시를 가사로 하고 있다. 이 연가곡은 삶과 사랑에 관한 주제를 사계절에 비유하여 나타낸 작품이다.;The thesis studies the graduate recital repertoires, including No.1 "Kennst du das Land”, No.3 "Nur wer die Sehnsucht kennt”, No.5 "Heiß mich nicht reden, heiß mich nicht schweigen”, No.9 "So laßt mich scheinen, bis ich werde”from 『Lieder und Gesäenge aus Wilhelm Meister』by Robert Schumann(1810-1856), 『La regata veneziana』by Gioachiano Antonio Rossini(1792-1887), and 『A Cycle of Life』Landon Ronald(1873-1938). Furthermore, the life of the composers and the features of each piece will be examined to help understand the works. Robert Schumann(1810-1856) has a profound knowledge of literature and philosophy, which he romanticized his lieders with his artistry. 『Lieder und Gesäenge aus Wilhelm Meister』 is quoted from the novel <Wilhelm Meister> by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe(1749-1832). The study will look into No.1, 3, 5, 9 from the song cycle, which includes a love story of a mysterious and an exotic girl, Mignon, who goes through emotional changes due to her love toward Wilhelm. Gioachiano Antonio Rossini(1792-1887) is an Italian composer who holds both characteristics of the Classical and Romantic period. His song cycle 『La regata veneziana』well depicted the situation of the character as well as the change of emotion. The cycle consists of 3 songs with the setting of the gondola race event in Venezia. Landon Ronald(1873-1938) used lyrical melody lines fitting to the lyrics in order to delicately describe the poem. His song cycle 『A Cycle of Life』, which is composed in 5 songs, took the lyrics from the poems by Harold Simpson(1872-1949). The cycle deals the life and love comparing it to the four seasons.
