Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 졸업연주 곡목인 J. S. Bach 「French Suite No.5 in G Major BWV 816」, W. A. Mozart「Piano Sonata in B flat Major, K.281」, F. P. Schubert「Piano Sonata in C minor D.958」, B. Bartók「Allegro Barbaro for Piano Sz.49」에 대한 작품해설이다. 바로크 시대의 음악을 대표하는 독일 작곡가 Johann Sebastian Bach(1685-1750)의 조곡은 바로크 시대 기악곡 형식의 하나로 무곡 모음집이다. J. S. Bach는 건반악기를 위한 춤모음곡으로 6개의 Partita, 6개의 English Suite, 6개의 French Suite을 작곡하였다. French Suite은 바흐가 1717부터 6년에 걸쳐 작곡하였다. 그 중 No.5 BWV 816은 G Major로 되어있으며, 우아하고 아름다운 곡으로 잘 알려진 작품이다. Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Gigue로 구성된 4개의 기본악장과 선택악장인 Gavotte, Bourrée, Loure가 추가로 삽입되어 있다. 이 곡은 밝고 명랑한 느낌을 갖고 있다. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)는 오페라, 교향곡, 협주곡, 성악곡, 종교음악, 각 악기를 위한 독주곡 등 음악 전반에 걸쳐 다양한 600여곡의 작품을 남겼다. 그의 피아노 독주 작품에는 15개의 변주곡, 4개의 판타지, 18개의 소나타가 있다. 오늘날 알려진 모차르트의 소나타는 총 18곡으로 1774년부터 4시기에 나누어 작곡 되었는데, 그 중 Piano Sonata in B flat Major K.281은 1774년 모차르트의 제 1기 작품에 속한다. 이 곡에서는 J. S. Bach와 C. P. E. Bach(Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach)의 영향을 받아 갈랑트(Gallant) 양식이 특징적으로 나타나고 있다. 아름다운 가곡들로 유명한 작곡가 Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828)은 낭만시대와 고전시대의 과도기적 시기의 작곡가로 총 23곡의 피아노 소나타를 작곡하였으며 그 중 Piano Sonata in C minor D.958은 그의 마지막 소나타 3개 중 첫 번째 작품이다. 이 곡은 전형적인 기존의 소나타형식으로 작곡 되었지만 그 내용을 보면 낭만시대의 음악적 특징이 나타난다. 피아노 소나타 D.958은 슈베르트의 원숙한 음악세계가 분명하게 나타났던 시기의 작품으로 그의 말년의 음악적 특징이 나타나 있다 . Béla Bartók (1881-1945)은 헝가리 출신의 작곡가로 20세기를 대표하는 작곡가 중 한 사람이다. 바르톡은 특히 민족주의 음악에 큰 영감을 받아 민족적인 선율을 자신의 음악에 많이 사용하였다. 그의 작품들을 살펴보면 피아노를 타악기로 취급하여 거칠게 두드려대는 음향을 창출 하였는데 그중 대표적인 곡이 Allegro Barbaro이다. Allegro Barbaro는 후기 낭만적 음악에 대한 반동으로 나타난 원시주의 (Primitivism)의 대표적 작품으로 빠른 리듬과 좁은 음역의 반복 사용으로 바르톡만의 새로운 음향을 표현해낸 작품이다.;The purpose of this graduate recital program annotation is to advance understanding in perfomance of four pieces. The pieces selected for the recital are J. S. Bach「French Suite No.5 in G Major BWV 816」, W. A. Mozart「Piano Sonata in B flat Major K.281」, F. P. Schubert「Piano Sonata in C minor D.958」, B. Bartók「Allegro Barbaro Sz.49」 Johann Sebastian Bach(1685-1750) is a representative composer of the Baroque period. He wrote many pieces of keyboard music. One of them named ‘suite’ is an important genre. J. S. Bach’s 「French Suite No.5 in G Major BWV 816」has lyrical and elegant melodies. The work is consisted of four different basic movements and three optional movements. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) composed many genres of music as an important composer in the classical era. He had shown a lot of particular musical features in piano sonatas. Mozart’s 「Piano Sonata in B flat Major K.281」is one of the early sonatas, which were influenced by previous composers such as Haydn and Bach. The sonata is written in simple and galant style, so it has elegant and lyrical melodies. Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828) is a composer on the way to connect the Classical and Romatic era. His 「Piano Sonata in C minor D.958」 composed in 1828 has long phrased romantic melodies and innovative harmonic procedures. At the same time the work is influenced by the Classical sonata structure, consisted of four movements including sonata allegro form. Especially fourth movement is the longest movement of the work. This piece is the first of his last three sonatas and it appears his mature musical expressions and condenses his own music style. Béla Bartók (1881-1945) has been renowned as one of the great composers in the 20th century. His 「Allegro Barbaro Sz.49」 showed folk style and features of primitivism. It featured pentatonic scale, dynamic rhythm, tone cluster and ostinato technique. Especially, he utilized the piano as a percussion instrument in this piece.
