Program Annotation

Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 졸업연주 프로그램인 L. v. Beethoven『Piano Sonata No. 30 in E Major, Op. 109』, R. Schumann『Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17』, S. Prokofiev『Piano Sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』에 대한 작품해설이다. 루드비히 반 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)은 전 생애에 걸쳐 32개의 피아노 소나타를 작곡하였다. 이는 초기, 중기, 후기로 구분되며『Piano Sonata No. 30 in E Major, Op. 109』는 후기 소나타이다. 고전적 틀의 한계를 벗어나 보다 음악 자체가 갖는 고유한 의미에 중점을 둔 후기 작품에서는 낭만적인 표현력이 돋보인다. 전통적인 소나타 양식에 의거한 3악장 구조이지만 마지막 악장에 변주곡 형식을 사용하여 변주 기법 및 푸가 기법이 특징적으로 나타나고 있다. 로베르트 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1856)은 가곡 외에도 성격 소곡(Character Piece)을 비롯한 소나타, 변주곡 등 다양한 장르의 피아노 작품을 많이 남겼다.『Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17』은 3악장으로 된 힘찬 대곡이며 소나타와 흡사하지만 틀 안에 국한되지 않고 자유로운 표현을 추구하고 있다. 슈만의 낭만성이 잘 드러난 작품으로 열정이 넘치고 클라라를 향한 애정에 바탕을 두고 있다. 세르게이 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev, 1891-1953)는 혼란스러운 시기에도 불구하고 다수의 피아노 작품을 작곡하였다. 그 중 9개의 피아노 소나타에서는 그의 고전주의적 성향이 나타난다. 초기 작품에 해당하는『Piano Sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』는 전통적 구조 안에서 낭만적인 선율과 날카로운 음악어법이 함께 나타나며 타악기적인 리듬과 불협화음 등 혁신적인 대담성이 돋보이는 작품이다. ;This thesis presents a study of my graduation recital programs, L. v. Beethoven『Piano Sonata No. 30 in E Major, Op. 109』, R. Schumann 『Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17』, and S. Prokofiev『Piano Sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』. Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827) composed 32 piano sonatas throughout his life. These are divided into early, middle and late periods, and『Piano Sonata No. 30 in E Major, Op. 109』is a sonata composed in the late period. Romantic expression stands out beyond the limitations of the classical form. It has three movements based on traditional sonata forms, but the last movement is the form of a variation. Variations and Fugue techniques appear distinctively. Robert Alexander Schumann(1810-1856) has left a lot of piano works in various genres including character piece, sonata and variations as well as song.『Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17』is a large-scale music comprised of three movements. It is similar to sonatas, but it seeks free expression. It is a work well-expressed romantic characteristic of Schumann. It is full of passion and based on his affection towards Clara. Despite the period of confusion in Russia, Sergei Prokofiev(1891-1953) composed a number of piano works. Among his compositions, 9 piano sonatas show his classical tendencies.『Piano Sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』is regarded as an early work. It has romantic melodies and sharp musical expressions within traditional structure. And it is a work standing out with innovative boldness such as percussive rhythms and discords.
