자전적 기억을 중심으로 한 심상표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

본인은 표현하는데 있어 어떤 대상이나 사물을 있는 그대로 표현하는 것에서 나아가, 주관적 경험이나 외적 환경에 의한 영향이 내면에 반영되어 작품에 드러나도록 하였다. 작품의 근본적 바탕은 본인의 내면세계에 있으며 시간의 흐름에 따라 체득된 관념과 경험이 미적인 이미지로 발아(發芽)되어 형상화되는 것이다. 본인의 일련의 작업들은 끊임없이 흐르는 시간 속에서 외부세계에 대한 경험과 친근한 관계를 통해 남겨진 기억으로 시작되었으며, 행복과 동시에 상실과 불안의 감정을 시각화하는 신체 드로잉을 통해 이미지화하여 나타난다. 그리고 이러한 기억 속에서의 신체 이미지는 살아있음에 대한 것과 죽음에 대한 것들의 이미지를 통해 나타나는 몸으로 나와 타인과의 관계맺음을 통한 기억이 발단이 되었다. 그렇기 때문에 본인은 작품을 표현할 때 대상을 그대로 나타내는 ‘현실 이미지’와 심리상태의 변화에 영향 받은 ‘상상 이미지’가 더해져 상징화하거나 새로운 이미지화된 심상을 표현하였다. 심상을 표현하는데 있어 본인의 삶 속에서 겪는 육체적 기쁨과 정신적 슬픔의 대립은 혼란스러운 감정을 드러낸다. 또한 의식적으로 느끼는 것 또는 무의식적으로 발현되는 것을 보여주는 작업은, 기억의 결합에 따라 이미지의 축척을 통해 재구성한다. 이처럼 극단적인 기억경험에 대한 표현으로써 드러나는 작품은 치유의 행위를 나타낸다. 본 연구를 통하여 본인의 경험으로 기억되는 관계맺음은 의식적, 무의식적 기억의 결과이며, 감정적이고 주관적인 기억 이미지를 조형화한 작품으로 개인의 정체성을 돌이켜 살펴보았다. 그리고 개인의 자아와 직관적이고 변형된 상상의 영역을 통해, 여러 가지 기억의 흔적을 중첩시켜 그것을 조형화해보고자 하였다. 이와 같이 본인의 작품은 개인적인 경험에서 시작되었다. 개인적 경험에 의한 기억은 감각을 통한 학습에 의해 이뤄지고, 현재의 의식과 과거의 체험이 맞물리는 자기 자신의 표현이며, 지극히 개인적 감성과 정서를 기억의 흔적으로 드러내는 과정이다. 개인의 기억을 통해 표현된 작품은 새로운 매개가 되고 그것을 통한 또 다른 이미지를 상상하도록 모색하고자 한다.;Further to a simple expression of a certain object as it is, in this study, I tried to research the certain direction of works which was filtered by the artist's inner subject experience or by the external environment. The fundamental basis of the work is located on the inner world of the artist, and the ideas and experiences which are learned over times are to be shaped as an aesthetic image. The series of the works were begun based on the experiences against the external world and on the remaining memories thru the intimate relations in the elapsing time, and imaged the image to visualize the emotion to express happiness and the feeling of loss and anxiety thru the body drawing. The physical images of 'body about living' and 'body thru death' in this memories were the beginning of the memories thru the relations between other people and myself. So, when I express the works, I tried to express the new mental images which include not only the real image as the objects appear but also imagined image affected by the psychological change. In expressing the mental images, the confrontation between the physical joy in the artist's life and mental grief shows the confused emotions. Moreover, the works which show the feeling of consciousness and unconsciousness would be reconstructed thru the image accumulation based on the combinations of the memory. Like this, the works to express the radical memories of experience represent the behavior of healing. In this study, the relations memorized by the personal experiences mean the result of the conscious and unconscious memories, and the object of the study is to find out the identity of one's true character, with the molding works which visualized the emotional and subjective memories. And finally, thru the personal self and imaginary area that is intuitive and modified, it is to be presented in this study to mold the traces in layers of various memories. As above, my works was started from personal experiences. The memories based on personal experiences were made by the learning thru sense. They are not only the personal expressions which show the current awareness and past experience, but also the process that reveals the very personal emotion and feeling as a trace of memories. I tried that the works became the new intervention based on the personal memories and by using them, would like to have an endeavor to imagine another images.
