César Franck Violin Sonata in A Major의 분석 및 연구

Abstract

세자르 프랑크(César Franck, 1822-1890)는 프랑스의 대표적인 작곡가로 뛰어난 오르간 연주자이자 종교 음악가이며 파리 음악원의 오르간 교수로 활동하였다. 오페라와 같은 극음악이 주를 이루었던 19세기 프랑스에서 프랑크는 시대의 흐름을 받아들이지 않고 고전주의적인 틀 안에서 프랑스적인 음악을 표현하고자 하였다. 그의 음악의 짜임새는 호모포니에 기초를 두고 대위법적기법을 사용하였으며 또한 프랑스 순수 기악음악이 부흥하는데 큰 역할을 하였다. 프랑크는 베토벤과 바그너의 영향을 받아 반음계적 화성의 사용과 리스트의 주제변형기법에서 영향을 받은 순환기법을 사용한다. 위와 같은 특징들이 잘 드러나 있는 <Violin sonata in A Major>는 그의 마지막 시기에 작곡하여 3기로 분류되며 당시 일반적인 소나타가 3개의 악장으로 구성된 것과는 다르게 프랑크 바이올린 소나타는 4개의 악장으로 구성되어 있다. 또한 전 악장에 걸쳐 3개의 순환동기를 반복, 변형시켜 작품의 통일성을 나타내주며 화성의 자유로운 전조와 폭 넓은 음역 그리고 색채적인 화성의 사용은 프랑크만의 특징을 살려 낭만주의 작품답게 표현되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 프랑크의 <Violin sonata in A Major> 의 이해를 돕기 위해 19세기 낭만주의 시대적 상황, 프랑크의 생애와 그만의 작곡기법 등 프랑크에 대한 정보를 연구하고 각 악장별로 작품을 분석, 연구 하였다.;César Franck(1822-1890) is one of the greatest French composers in late 19 century. He was not only an organist, but also a religious musician. He also served as a professor of Conservatoire de Paris. Instead of following 19th century French music trends such as opera and drama music, Franck persisted in expressing french music under classic conventionality. His musical structure was based on homophony but Franck also used contrapuntal motions to some extent. also he contributed to make pure instrumental music. Franck used a chromatic scale, which was influenced by Beethoven and Wagner, but also used a circulation technique under the influence of a subject transformation technique from Listz. These characteristics are dominant in his only violin Sonata, which is classified as a third period. Unlike the other classical music with three movements, it consists of four movements. Moreover, it repeats three-circulation period throughout the sonata that shows integrity, and a wide cord spectrum features Franck’s style of music that expressed romanticism. Likewise, this dissertation studies a romanticism of 19 century, Franck’s biography and his composing style, in order to understand Franck’s <Violin Sonata in A major>, furthermore I studied and analyzed each movement's work.
