Robert Alexander Schumann의 「 Violin Sonata No.1 in a minor, Op. 105 」에 관한 연구

Abstract

문학에서 시작된 19세기 낭만주의는 음악적으로 이 전의 고전주의에 반해 작곡가의 개인적인 생각과 감정을 중요시하는 경향이 있다. 대표적으로 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1856)은 형식에 얽매이지 않고 풍부한 상상력과 내면세계로의 성찰을 통한 낭만주의 문학의 순수성을 재현하려 애썼다. 그는 정신착란 증세가 점점 심해지던 후기에도 작곡을 하였는데 거의 연주되지 않고 있는 Violin Sonata No.3을 포함하여 Violin Sonata는 3곡을 남겼다. 그 중 「Violin Sonata No.1 in a minor Op.105」는 전체 3악장으로 구성되어진다. 이 곡은 모든 악장에서 16분 음표를 주로 사용하였으며 1악장에서는 피아노 파트에서 많이 사용되었고 2악장과 3악장에서는 바이올린 파트와 피아노 파트가 번갈아가며 사용되거나 함께 쓰였다. 특히 3악장에서는 피아노 파트와 바이올린 파트가 교대로 같은 선율을 연주하고 반복되는 형태를 취하고 있으며 도약, 반음계적 순차 진행, 부속화음, 지속음 등의 특징을 보이고 있다. 이 곡의 형식은 1악장과 3악장은 일반적인 소나타에서 부분적으로 변형된 소나타 형식으로 나타나는데, 곡의 구성은 다음과 같다. 제 1악장은 Allegro appasionato, a minor, 6/8박자로 되어있으며, 소나타 형식으로 이루어져 있다. 제 2악장은 Allegretto, F Major, 2/4박자로 되어있으며 A-B-A-C-A의 론도 형식으로 구성되어 있다. 제 3악장은 Allegro con brio, a minor, 2/4박자의 변형된 소나타 형식으로 되어있다. 본 논문은 슈만의 작품「Violin Sonata No.1 in a minor Op.105」을 이해하기 위해 낭만주의를 토대로 그가 살아온 전반적인 음악인생과 작품 성향을 살펴보고, 나아가 작품 분석을 통한 악곡에 나타난 주제적 동기의 전개, 선율, 리듬, 화성, 조성 등을 연구하였다. ;This study examined Robert Alexander Schumann's (R. Schumann was born in June 8, 1810, Zwickau, Saxony, and died in July 29, 1856, Endenich, near Bonn, Prussia) lifetime and work and especially the framework of "Violin sonata No.1 in a minor Op. 105," he composed. In R. Schumann's musical score of "Violin sonata No.1 in a minor Op. 105," there are some significances, which are form and structure melody and rhythm, and tonality and harmony. Romanticism is a terminology, which originated in literature of Europe during 19th century and opposed the meaning of Classicism. Musical characteristic of Romanticism emphasized subjective emotion and sentimentality, and also connected with the literature, which were found in the etymology in the 19th century. Unlike the others among many composers in Romantic era of 19th century, R. Schumann considered that the significance of a musical structure and its flow is more important than the significance a musical form or a music itself. R. Schumann was a German composer and an influential music critic, who was a central figure of Romantic era. He's ideas and works well illustrated the concept of Romanticism, his interpretation of music was remarkably compared to the other contemporary composers in 19th century of his period. His musics are well known as characteristics of its lyrical and emotional. R. Schumann's work of "Violin sonata No.1 in a minor Op. 105" was completed in 1851. The time when Schumann composed this music, he was having a significant symptom of a mental disorder. Unlike a general sonata form, "Violin sonata No.1 in a minor Op. 105" had been modified to its form. The composition of this music includes total of 3 movements as follows. The 1st movement is a sonata form of Allegro appassionato, a minor, 6/8 time. The 2nd movement is A-B-A-C-A of Rondo form of Allegretto, F minor, 2/4 time. The 3rd movement is a modified sonata form of Allegro con brio, a minor, 2/4 time. This thesis focuses on R. Schumann's musical life, and particularly on the methods of his expression which he tried to convey his means of passion, romance, and poeticism about his music with only two musical instruments- the piano and the violin.
