음악치료 전공생의 노인 선호음악에 대한 인식 및 활용

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 음악치료 전공생의 노인 선호음악에 대한 인식과 임상에서의 선호음악 활용을 조사하고, 이를 조사된 노인응답자의 선호음악과 비교하여, 노인 선호음악에 대한 노인과 전공생의 인식차이를 확인하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 서울과 수도권에 위치한 노인복지관, 경로당, 주민 센터를 이용하는 어르신 300분께 설문지를 배부하였고, 회수된 설문지 중 분석에 적합하지 않은 설문지를 제외한 최종 248부의 설문지를 분석하였으며, 서울과 수도권에 소재한 5개의 대학원에 재학 중인 음악치료 전공생 109명에게 설문지를 배부하고 회수된 설문지 중 결측 문항이 있는 설문지를 제외한 102부의 설문지를 최종 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 노인 선호음악에 대한 전공생과 노인 응답자의 인식에서 큰 차이가 확인되었다. 노인 선호음악 곡목의 경우, 두 집단 모두 대중가요를 가장 많은 선호곡목으로 응답하였지만, 노래의 유행 및 발표 시기에서 확연한 차이가 확인되었다. 노인들은 현재 자주 접하는 유행가요를 많은 선호곡목으로 응답한 반면, 전공생들은 노인이 1940-60년대의 노래들을 주로 선호할 것이라고 예상하였다. 또한, 노인 선호음악의 장르 및 유형에 대해서도 인식의 차이가 확인되었다. 노인응답자들은 다양한 장르와 유형에서 고른 선호도를 나타낸 것과 비교하여, 전공생들은 노인들이 특정한 한 가지 장르나 유형을 선호할 것이라고 응답하였다. 선호음악의 내용에서, 노인응답자는 ‘마음에 위안을 주는 내용’을 가장 많이 선호한다고 응답하였고, 전공생은 노인들이 주로 ‘고향 및 가족과 관련된 내용’을 선호할 것이라고 응답하여 선호음악의 장르, 유형과 비교하여 가장 뚜렷한 차이가 확인되었다. 마지막으로 전공생들이 응답한 임상에서의 선호음악 활용현황을 조사한 결과, 전공생들은 노인임상에서 내담자의 선호음악 사용을 중요하게 인식하고 있었고, 선호음악을 적극적으로 활용하고 있음이 확인되었다.;This study aimed to determine differences in perception between music therapy students and the elderly in regard of elderly music preference, and clients' characteristics of practical application of preferred music in music therapy intervention of gerontology. To do this, this research conducted a survey targeting 248 seniors who utilize seniors' welfare center, silver hall, and community service center in Seoul and capital area and 102 music therapy students from 5 graduate schools of music therapy in Seoul and capital area. Title of the collected music was analyzed according to period and genre. As the analysis result of the survey, differences in cognition was confirmed between the elderly respondents and major students in genre, style, and content, etc., including the title of elderly preferred music. By comparing with the point that the elderly respondents prefer wide range and various genre of music covering 1920s up to now(2015) and music preference on music style and meaning are evenly distributed, major students were confirmed to expect that the elderly would mostly prefer the passed songs of 1940s-60s, and generally prefer a certain genre or style. As the result of investigating the characteristics of preferred music utilization in clinic, most of major students responded that they therapeutically use clients' preferred music in the elderly clinic, and were investigated as importantly considering this, however they were confirmed to perceive their own recognition on elderly preferred music was insufficient. Therefore, for the music application for effective intervention in the elderly clinic, it is necessary to more enhance major students' perception on elderly clients and elderly preferred music.
