청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동이 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술에 미치는 영향

Abstract

이 연구는 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동이 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써 국제교류에서 음악활동의 효과성을 입증하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 또한 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술의 관계를 밝혀 글로벌시민의식에 대한 영향요인을 살펴봄으로써 이에 대한 교육적인 역할 및 방향에 대한 실제적인 함의를 제공하고, 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술을 증강시킬 수 있는 음악활동의 중요성에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이와 같은 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동에 참여한 고등학생 63명을 대상으로 청소년 국제교류에 참여하기 전에 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술에 대한 사전검사를 실시하고, 청소년 국제교류에 참여한 이후 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술에 대한 사후검사를 실시하여 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술의 수준에 변화가 있는지 분석하였다. 이 연구에 사용된 연구도구는 학생들의 일반적인 경향을 알아보기 위한 일반적 특성 설문지, 글로벌시민의식을 측정하기 위하여 신혜영(2006)이 개발한 세계시민의식 실태 조사지를 연구자가 수정 및 보완하여 재구성한 글로벌시민의식 척도, Bandura(1977)의 이론을 근거로 하여 국내에서 김아영 · 차정은(1996)이 개발하고 김아영(1997)이 수정한 일반적 자기효능감 척도, Schlin과 Guerney(1971)가 개발한‘Relationship Change Scale’을 문선모(1980)가 한국의 실정에 맞게 번안한 대인관계변화척도, 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동 프로그램의 만족도를 알아보기 위한 설문지를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS Ver 22.0 통계패키지 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 연구문제에 따라 기술통계 분석, 내적일관성 검사, 대응표본 t검정, 상관분석, 다변량 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동이 고등학생의 글로벌시민의식에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 사전 · 사후검사를 통해 이를 분석한 결과, 국제교류에 참여하기 전보다 국제교류에 참여한 이후에 고등학생의 글로벌시민의식 수준이 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동은 고등학생의 글로벌시민의식의 증진에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동이 고등학생의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 사전 · 사후검사를 통해 이를 분석한 결과, 국제교류에 참여하기 전보다 국제교류에 참여한 이후에 고등학생의 자기효능감 수준이 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동은 자기효능감의 증진에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 셋째, 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동이 고등학생의 대인관계기술에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 사전 · 사후검사를 통해 이를 분석한 결과, 국제교류에 참여하기 전보다 국제교류에 참여한 이후에 고등학생의 대인관계기술 수준이 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동은 고등학생의 대인관계기술의 증진에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 넷째, 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 상관관계 분석을 실시한 결과 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감은 정적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 자기효능감이 글로벌시민의식에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 다변량 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 자기효능감은 글로벌시민의식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 글로벌시민의식과 대인관계기술의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 상관관계 분석을 실시한 결과 글로벌시민의식과 대인관계기술은 정적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 대인관계기술이 글로벌시민의식에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 다변량 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 대인관계기술은 글로벌시민의식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구의 결과는 청소년 국제교류를 통한 음악활동에 관한 연구가 전무한 상태에서 글로벌시민의식과 자기효능감 및 대인관계기술을 증진시킬 수 있는 음악활동의 효과성을 실증적으로 입증하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 글로벌 역량 강화를 위한 다양한 국제교류 프로그램의 개발 및 활성화가 요구되는 현시점에서 국제교류를 통한 음악활동이 청소년 국제교류와 글로벌역량증진을 위한 수단으로써 강조될 필요성이 있음을 제언한다.; This study aims to verify the effectiveness of musical activities in international exchange by proving the effect of musical activities on global citizenship, sense of self-efficiency and interpersonal relationship skills. Also, by revealing them, it looks into influential factors on global citizenship to provide practical implications for its educational role and direction and prove the effectiveness of musical activities that can improve global citizenship, sense of self-efficiency and interpersonal relationship skills. To reach the goal of this study, a test was done on global citizenship, sense of self-efficiency and interpersonal relationship skills before and after participation in an international exchange of juveniles targeting 63 high school students who joined musical activities through international exchange with the goal of seeing if there were changes in global citizenship, sense of self-efficiency and interpersonal relationship skills. Questionnaires used as a research tool included one on general features to see the common trait of students, one on global citizenship which is a corrected and supplemented version of ‘survey sheet for global citizenship’ developed by Shin Hyeyeong(2006) and corrected and supplemented by the current writer to measure the level of global citizenship, a survey sheet on sense of general self-efficiency developed by Kim Ayeong and Cha Jeongeun(1996) and corrected by Kim Ayeong(1997)on the basis of Bandura’s theory, interpersonal relationship measurement standards developed by Schlin and Guerney(1971) and revised by Lee Hyungdeuk and Moon Sunmo(1982) to fit Korean situations and a survey sheet used to see satisfaction levels of musical activity programs through juveniles’ international exchange. To process the data of the questionnaires, SPSS Ver 22.0 Statistical Package Program was used and according to research assignments, analysis on technical statistics, consistency check, SPSS T-Test, analysis on corelation and multi-variate regression analysis were conducted. The following is the summary of this study. First, analysis on the tests done before and after their participation in international exchange found that the high school students’ level of global citizenship got significantly improved after they joined international exchange of juvenile musical activities. Therefore, it can be said that musical activities through juvenile international exchange is good for improving the global citizenship of high school students. Second, analysis on tests done before and after their participation in juvenile international exchange of musical activities found that the level of high school students’ self-efficiency got significantly improved after they joined the international exchange. Therefore, it can be said that musical activities through juvenile international exchange is good for improving their sense of self-efficiency. Third, analysis on tests done before and after their participation in juvenile international exchange of musical activities found that the level of high school students’ interpersonal relationship skills got significantly improved after they joined the international exchange. Therefore, it can be said that musical activities through juvenile international exchange is good for improving their interpersonal relationship skills. Fourth, corelation analysis on relations between global citizenship and sense of self-efficiency found that both has positively significant relation to each other. According to this, multi-variant regression analysis done to see the influence that sense of self-efficiency has on global citizenship found that sense of self-efficiency has positive effect on global citizenship. Fifth, corelation analysis on relations between global citizenship and interpersonal relationship skills found that global citizenship and interpersonal relationship skills have a positively significant relation. According to this, multi-variate regression analysis was done to see the influence of interpersonal relationship skills on global citizenship found that interpersonal relationship skills have a positive effect on global citizenship. In this regard, the current study has its meaning in that it empirically verified the effectiveness of musical activities that can improve global citizenship, sense of self-efficiency and interpersonal relationship skills amid the current situation where no researches have been conducted on international exchange and musical activities and it suggests the need that musical activities should be practiced more in international exchange programs since musical activities through international exchange play a positive role in improving global ability at the present time requiring development and activation of various international exchange programs to strengthen global ability.
