Johannes Brahms의 『Sonata for Clarinet and Piano op.120 No.2, in Eb Major』에 관한 분석 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 본인이 석사학위과정 이수를 위한 졸업 리사이틀 프로그램 중 하나인 Johannes Brahms의『Sonata for Clarinet and Piano op.120 No 2, in Eb Major』에 대한 분석 연구 이다. Johannes Brahms는 오페라를 제외한 모든 장르의 작품을 작곡하였고 과거음악의 요소를 활용하여 자신만의 음악세계를 구축하였다. 풍부한 화성과 화성의 확대, 3화음의 장조와 단조의 교차, 가곡적 성격의 선율, 발전적 변형을 특징으로 하는 작품들은 리듬적 요소에서도 브람스만의 음악언어를 보여준다. 특히 반음계적 화성, 반음을 통한 전조, 모호한 화성의 진행은 20세기 음악으로의 연결점을 제시한다. Johannes Brahms의 마지막 실내악 작품인『sonata for Clarinet and Piano op.120 No.2, in E Major』는 Piano와 Clarinet으로 구성된 브람스가 창안한 새로운 실내음악 장르로써 단순명쾌하게 나타나는 인상적인 선율에 의해 '고전적'이라 평가받으며 그의 특징적 작곡기법들을 복합적으로 나타낸다. 또한 형식면에서 각 악장이 대칭구조를 이루고 악장과 악장 사이에서 동기를 차용하는 특징을 가진다. 작품의 분석에 앞서 19세기의 미학의 특징과 시대적 상황에 대해서 알아보고 분석을 통하여 각 악장의 구조와 주제의 변형기법인“Developing Variation”이 어떻게 발전해 나가는지 동기의 발전방향과 짜임새에 대해 자세히 알아보고 특징적 리듬, 화성 진행, 형식구조 등을 알아보고자 한다.;This thesis analyzes about Johannes Brahms『Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, op.120 No.2, in Eb Major』in order to complete my master's degree. Johannes Brahms composed every music genre except opera and he c reated his own world of music by using elements of past music pieces. His music specializes in ample harmony, amplification of harmony, crossings of major and minor triton, lyrical characteristics of melody and developmental reductions. Moreover, he demonstrates rhythmical element s through his own music language. Especially, his chromatic harmony, modulation through semitone, and progression of ambiguous harmony exhibit the connection point of 20th century's music. The last chamber music piece,『Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, Op.120 No.2, in Eb Major』,is Brahms' inventive chamber music genre that E flat sonata, by comparison, could be evaluated as 'classical' for its dire ctness of lyrical expression and complexly establishes his unique composing techniques. Also, looking at the arrangement, each movement forms a symmetrical structure and uniquely borrows motive in between m ovements. Before proceeding to the music analysis, let us explore the aesthetics and circumstances of nineteenth century and investigate each movement's structure, developmental reduction, unique rhythm, and harmony.
