초기 청소년기 부모 애착과 또래관계 질의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 초기 청소년기에 해당하는 중학교 1~3학년 226명을 대상으로 실시되었으며, 부모 애착이 어떠한 기제를 통해 또래관계의 질에 영향을 미치는지를 확인하기 위해 실행기능과 인지적 정서조절이라는 인지적, 정서적 변인을 동시에 포함하여 이들 간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 구조방정식 분석을 통해 각 변인들의 구조적 관계를 파악한 뒤 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과와 실행기능 중 전환능력과 인지적 정서조절을 통하는 이중매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시한 결과, 부모 애착이 또래관계 질로 가는 경로, 부모 애착이 실행기능의 전환으로 가는 경로, 부모 애착이 인지적 정서조절로 가는 경로, 인지적 정서조절이 또래관계 질로 가는 경로, 실행기능의 전환, 작업기억이 인지적 정서조절로 가는 경로들이 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 부모 애착에서 인지적 정서조절로 가는 경로가 가장 강한 영향력을 나타냈다. 부모 애착과 또래관계 질 간의 관계에서 인지적 정서조절이 매개효과를 나타내는지, 그리고 실행기능 중 전환과 인지적 정서조절을 차례로 거쳐 이중매개효과를 나타내는지를 검증하기 위해 부트스트랩 절차를 사용하였다. 그 결과 부모 애착과 또래관계 질 사이에서 인지적 정서조절이 유의미한 단순매개효과를 나타내었으며, 실행기능의 전환과 인지적 정서조절을 거치는 이중매개효과 또한 유의미한 것으로 확인되었다. 연구 결과를 종합해보면, 초기 청소년기에도 부모 애착은 또래관계의 질에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 뿐만 아니라 부모 애착이 실행기능 중 전환과 인지적 정서조절을 통해 또래관계의 질에 간접적인 영향을 미침을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 또래관계의 불만족을 경험하는 청소년들에 대한 이해를 돕고, 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 어떠한 개입을 할 수 있는지에 대해 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.; This research aims to examine the relationship between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship in early adolescents, and the role of executive function and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation in mediating the relationship. This research collected data from 226 middle school students in the Kangwon and Kyungsang province by using self-report surveys for parent attachment, quality of peer relationship, and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy. Executive function was measured by one-on-one computerized tests for inhibition and set shifting, and one-on-one test for working memory. The data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling by SPSS 22.0 and M Plus 7.0. The results of the study were as follows: The structural equation modeling analysis revealed that all of the paths were significant except the path from parent attachment to inhibition and working memory of executive function, from inhibition, shift and working memory of executive function to quality of peer relationship and from inhibition of executive function to adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy. Especially, the path from parent attachment to adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy was more powerful than other paths. The mediating effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy was significant between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship, and the dual-mediating effect of shift and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship was also significant. Adolescents who developed secure attachment with parents can shift problem solving strategy more flexibly, so they were more likely to using adaptive strategy for regulate their emotions. Therefore they showed their emotions in appropriate way and kept their relationship with peer good. The results of this study showed the importance of considering shift ability and cognitive emotion regulation strategy when helping adolescents with problems of peer relationship. Findings in this study also exhibited the direction for future research of relation between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship.
