자연이미지를 양식화한 텍스타일 디자인 연구

Abstract

인간은 오랜 시간 자연과 더불어 살아왔다. 또한 앞으로도 자연과 함께 살아갈 것이다. 자연은 모든 예술의 근원이며, 그 자체로서 완벽하고 아름다우며 무한한 신비를 가지고 있다. 인간은 자연이 운영되어 나가는 섭리 안에서 존재하며 인간 자신이 자연에서 태어난 자연의 일부이기 때문에 자연으로부터 끊임없이 동경과 감동을 받으면서 다양한 방법으로 표현되고 있다. 몇 해 전만해도 우리에게 낯설던 북유럽 디자인이 언제부턴가 한국에도 알려지기 시작했다. 친환경, 아날로그, 손맛, 삶의 질 등의 단어와 맞물려 새로운 트렌드를 만들고 있는 북유럽 디자인은 가구, 그릇, 패션, 홈 패브릭 등 우리 삶 전반에 걸쳐 소리 없이 그 영역을 넓히고 있다. 아날로그의 감성을 가진 자연의 이미지는 빠르게 돌아가는 현대인의의 마음을 치유하고 편안하게 하는 역할을 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 북유럽 디자인의 양식을 고찰하여 자연의 이미지를 모티프로 한 텍스타일 디자인을 하였다. 본 연구자는 첫째, 자연이미지와 디자인의 관계를 연구하고 둘째, 북유럽 디자인에서 나타난 자연이미지의 표현 방식을 본 연구에 접목하였다. 본 연구의 범위는 상대적으로 텍스타일 디자인이 발전되어 있는 북유럽 국가 핀란드, 스웨덴, 덴마크 디자인으로 한정지어 연구하였다. 본 연구자의 연구방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째. 자연 이미지와 디자인의 관계를 고찰한 후, 북유럽 디자인의 형성배경과 자연과의 관계와 북유럽 디자인의 특징을 연구하고 정의하였다. 둘째. 북유럽 텍스타일 디자인의 특징을 각 나라별 사례를 통하여 연구하였다. 이러한 분석과 정의를 통해 각 분야에서 북유럽 디자인의 원리를 활용한 디자인 사례를 조사하고, 각각의 모티프를 북유럽 디자인의 특징을 활용하여 본 연구자의 디자인에 접목 하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째. 북유럽 디자인의 개념과, 북유럽 디자인의 다양한 사례연구를 통해서 북유럽 자연 그 자체가 북유럽 디자인에 스며들어 그들의 삶에 자연스럽게 융화되었고, 그리하여 자연과 디자인의 유대관계가 깊다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째. 북유럽 디자인의 특징을 활용한 디자인 브랜드를 분석한 결과 다양한 분야에서 북유럽 디자인의 원리를 활용한 디자인을 찾아 볼 수는 있지만, 다른 분야에 비해 상대적으로 많지 않다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 아직까지 북유럽 텍스타일 디자인에 대한 논문, 학술자료가 많지 않다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 북유럽 디자인을 응용한 텍스타일 디자인에 대한 이론 개발 필요성이 있음을 나타낸다. 셋째. 본 연구자는 북유럽 디자인 연구를 통한 텍스타일 디자인 개발을 통해 기존의 제시되었던 텍스타일 디자인에 비해 간결하고, 그래픽적인 디자인 양식을 접목하여 텍스타일 디자인의 새로운 영역을 구축할 수 있으리라고 생각된다. 이와 같이 자연의 이미지를 북유럽 디자인 양식을 통하여 표현되었을 때 나타나는 디자인의 미적 가치를 확인할 수 있었으며, 북유럽 디자인 양식을 연구한 결과로 대담하고, 간결한 그래픽적 텍스타일 디자인 양식을 제시하였다.;Humans have been living with the natures for long period. Also, the human will live with the natures in future. The nature is the origin of the arts and itself is perfect, beautiful, and mystic. Until few years ago, the northern european design was unfamiliar to us but it started to spread in Korea. The northern european design is silently spreading its scope in furnitures, dishes, fashions, and home fabrics. Therefore in this research, it is to have the textile design with motif of nature images through the northern european design patterns. Images of nature having analog emotion take role of healing the minds of modern people and make them comfortable. In order to express nature images, first, the relationship between nature images and designs were studied and second, the expression of nature images in the northern european designs was grafted. The scope of this research was limited to three northern european countries including Finland, Sweden, and Denmark which are relatively developed with textile design. The methods of research are as follows. First, the relationship between nature images and designs were studied. The background of northern european design development, its relationship with the nature, and the features of northern european design were studied and defined. Second, the features of european textile design were studied by cases of each country. Based on this analysis and definition, design cases applying the principles of european design in each field were studied. By applying the features of each northern european design, it was to be grafted with the researcher's design. The conclusions of this research were as follows. First, based on the concepts of northern european design and various case studies of the northern european designs, the relationship between the northern european designs and the natures were studied. It was found that the natures and designs are closely taking parts of their lives having strong and close relationships. Second, based on the analysis result of design brands that applied the features of northern european designs, although designs using the principles of northern european design could be found in various fields, it was found that there's not much research papers and academic materials on northern european designs yet. It showed that it requires theoretical development on textile designs using the northern european designs. Third, through the textile work study and by applying the northern european designs, it is believed that simpler to previous textiles and new domain of textile design such as graphic textile could be created. The design value of the nature images were confirmed when expressed through the northern european design patterns and it showed the unlimited possibilities of the northern european design patterns. It is expected to be an opportunity to establish the features of northern european design through continuous studies on the norther european designs.
