실내 구성 요소별 마감재 색채 및 재질 이미지 연구

Abstract

최근 서비스디자인이 부각되면서 사용자, 사용자의 경험, 생각 등이 매우 중요한 디자인 자료로 다뤄지고 있다. 이러한 흐름에 맞추어, 실내디자인 분야에서도 실내마감재 선택 및 적용이 공간의 주체인 사용자 중심으로 이루어져야 한다. 실내디자인에 관한 소비자의 욕구와 관심은 나날이 높아지고 있기 때문에, 소비자가 기대하는 실내디자인 스타일을 보여줄 수 있어야 하고, 이를 위해서는 실내마감재에 대한 소비자의 인식을 확인할 필요가 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 실내마감재에 대한 사용자의 감성을 파악하고, 사용자의 인식을 바탕으로 하여 각 실내디자인 스타일 유형에 적합한 마감재를 제시하고자 한다. 실내디자이너 등의 전문가가 제시한 실내디자인 스타일을 그대로 적용하는 것에서 벗어나 사용자가 직접 판단하고 선택한 마감재를 확인하고 이러한 기준을 근거로 하여 각 실내디자인 스타일 유형별 마감재를 제시하고자 한다. 연구를 위한 과정은 총 5단계로 진행되었고, 이론 연구와 실증 연구를 통하여 결론을 도출하였다. 단계별 연구의 과정은 다음과 같다. 1장에서는 현 시대의 디자인 흐름을 파악하고 미흡한 점을 찾아 문제제기 및 연구의 목적을 제시하였다. 2장에서는 실내디자인 스타일과 실내디자인 요소별 마감재에 관한 이론적 고찰을 위하여 기존 문헌 자료와 선행 연구 등을 살펴보고 실내디자인 스타일과 마감재에 관한 개념과 특성을 정리하였다. 3장에서는 실내마감재에 적합한 실내디자인 스타일 조사를 위하여 설문조사를 실시했다. 분석 결과를 토대로 각 마감재에 관한 사용자의 감성을 도출하고, 마감재 간의 비교분석을 진행하여 마감재의 색채와 질감에 따라 달라지는 사용자의 감성 변화를 확인한다. 4장에서는 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로, 사용자의 감성이 반영된 각 실내디자인 스타일에 적합한 마감재를 구성요소별로 제안하고, 마감재가 적용된 공간이미지 사례를 제시하였다. 5장에서는 연구의 결론으로 실내마감재 색채와 재질에 따른 감성이미지 및 실내디자인 스타일에 적합한 마감재를 정리하고, 연구의 한계점 및 향후 연구방향에 대해 제시하였다. 본 연구는 실내마감재에 관한 설문조사를 진행하여 각 마감재에 대한 사용자의 인식을 파악하였고 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 벽지에 대한 이미지는 색상이나 명도 등의 한 가지 변수에 영향을 받는 것이 아니라, 그 이상의 변수에 영향을 받아 형성된다는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 바닥 마감재는 마감재의 재질에 따라 색상, 명도의 영향을 받는 실내디자인 스타일 유형이 나뉘어졌다. 셋째, 직물 마감재는 색상, 명도, 채도 등의 색채의 영향을 크게 받는 마감재와 재질의 영향을 크게 받는 마감재가 있다. 실내 구성요소별 마감재에 관한 사용자 인식 분석결과를 바탕으로 사용자의 감성이 반영된 실내디자인 스타일 유형별 마감재를 제시하였다. 유형별 마감재는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 클래식에 적합한 벽지와 직물 마감재는 저명도 Red, Orange, Yellow 등이고, 바닥 마감재는 저명도 목재와 석재가 적합하다. 둘째, 로맨틱은 고명도 Pink, Purple이 벽 마감재로 적합하고, 바닥 마감재는 고명도 목재, 고, 중명도 Brown 석재가 적합하다. 직물은 고, 중명도 Red, Purple이 가장 적합하다. 셋째, 모던은 벽, 바닥, 직물 마감재 모두 Gray 마감재가 적합하다. 직물 마감재 소재로 린넨, 실크는 적합하지 않고, 면, 가죽이 적합하다. 넷째, 캐쥬얼의 벽 마감재는 고명도 Yellow, 중, 저명도 Mint가 적합하다. 바닥 마감재는 고, 중명도 Brown 목재와 고, 저명도 Gray 석재가 적합하다고 나타나 마감재 종류에 따라 색채선정이 달라진다. 직물은 고, 중, 저명도, 고채도의 다양한 Blue가 가장 적합한 것으로 나타나고, 고채도 Orange, Green, Yellow 등의 원색 직물 또한 적합하다. 다섯째, 내츄럴 유형의 벽지로는 Green, Beige, Orange, White 등이 적합하다. 바닥재는 고, 중명도 Brown 목재, 고명도 Brown 석재가 어울린다. 직물은 린넨, 실크, 면 소재가 적합하고, 색채는 고, 중명도 Yellow, Orange, Green 등이 적합하다고 판단되었다. 본 연구에서는 실내마감재에 대한 사용자의 감성을 확인하고, 실내디자인 스타일 유형별 마감재를 사용자 중심으로 제시하였다. 이러한 연구 결과가 실내디자인 현장에서 실내마감재에 대한 인식 차이를 좁혀 주고, 연구 결과로 제시된 마감재를 적용함으로써 누구나 쉽게 스타일을 파악할 수 있는 공간 설계에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 실내디자인 요소별 마감재를 벽지, 목재, 석재, 면, 린넨, 실크, 벨벳, 가죽으로 제한하여 진행하였으나, 향후 좀 더 다양한 실내디자인 마감재에 대한 사용자의 감성을 파악할 수 있는 연구가 진행되어지기를 바란다.;Recently, with emphasis on service design, users, their experience and idea are being treated as a very important design data. Going with such a current, interior design has to be also centered on users, a subject of the space when selecting and applying interior finishing materials. Since consumers' needs for and interest in interior design increase rapidly, interior design style consumers expect has to be presented, identifying their recognition on interior finishing materials. So, this study aims at understanding users' sensibility to interior finishing materials and suggesting finishing materials fitting for a type of each interior design style based on users' recognition. Beyond mere applying an interior design style suggested by professionals like an interior designer, it intends to identify finishing materials users judge and select directly, based on such a criterion, present finishing materials by each interior design style. Research was conducted as 5 steps and a conclusion was derived from theoretical and empirical studies. Research processes by step are as follows. Chapter 1 suggested a research aim while grasping a design flow of this age and raising a question about something that leaves to be desired. Chapter 2 examined existing literature and precedent studies to consider finishing materials theoretically according to the interior design style and element, also clarified concepts and characteristics of interior design styles and finishing materials. In Chapter 3, a questionnaire was conducted to survey interior design styles fitting for interior finishing materials. Based on analytic findings, it derived users' sensibility to finishing materials, and identified their emotional change according to the color and texture of finishing materials through the comparative analysis of materials. Based on questionnaire results, Chapter 4 suggested finishing materials fitting for each interior design style and reflecting users' sensibility by component, presenting spatial image cases to apply finishing materials. In conclusion, Chapter 5 summarized an emotional image according to color and texture of interior finishing materials and finishing materials suitable for interior design styles, presenting research limitations and future directions. This study conducted a questionnaire on interior finishing materials, identified users' recognition on each materials, and derived results as follows. Firstly, it showed that image of wallpaper is created under the influence of more than one variables not merely of one including hue or lightness. Secondly, it showed that types of interior design style influenced by hue or lightness are divided according to texture of flooring materials. Thirdly, it showed that fabric finishing materials are divided into ones greatly influenced by color including a hue, lightness and chroma, and ones by texture. Based on analytic results of users' recognition on finishing materials by interior component, finishing materials reflecting users' sensitivity by interior design style type were presented. Finishing materials by interior design type are as follows. Firstly, wall coverings and fabric finishing materials fitting for the classic are low-lightness Red, Orange, Yellow. Also, for flooring materials, low-lightness wood and stone are adequate. Secondly, as for the romantic, high-lightness Pink and Purple are fitting for wall coverings. Also, high-lightness wood, high and medium-lightness Brown stone are fitting for flooring materials. High and medium-lightness Red, Purple are fitting for fabric finishing materials. Thirdly, as for the modern, Gray is adequate for wall, floor and fabric finishing materials. For fabric finishing materials, cotton and leather are adequate rather than linen and silk. Fourthly, high-lightness Yellow, medium and low-lightness Mint are fitting for casual wall coverings. For flooring materials, high and medium-lightness Brown wood, high and low-lightness Gray stone are desirable. Also, selection of the color varies from kinds of finishing materials. For fabric, various kinds of Blue with high, medium and low-lightness, high-chroma are most desirable, and primary colored fabrics of high-chroma Orange, Green, Yellow are also suitable. Fifthly, as for the natural, Green, Beige, Orange, White wall coverings are desirable. For flooring materials, high and medium-lightness Brown wood, high-lightness Brown stone are desirable. Linen, silk and cotton are adequate fabrics, and high and medium-lightness Yellow, Orange, Green are desirable colors. This study identified users' sensibility to interior finishing materials and presented user-centered finishing materials by interior design style type. It is expected that such research findings will fill a gap of recognition on interior finishing materials and be helpful for the spatial design everyone can grasp a style easily by applying materials suggested in the study in the interior design field. As for finishing materials by interior design component, this study was limited to wallpaper, wood, stone, cotton, linen, silk, velvet and leather. Hereafter, it is expected to do research on users' sensibility to a variety of interior design finishing materials.
