과학교육에서 과학사관련 연구 동향 분석

Abstract

국내·외 과학교육에서 과학학습능력을 향상시키고 과학에 대한 흥미를 높이기 위한 방안으로써 과학교육에 과학사를 도입하려는 시도를 해왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 과학교육에 과학사를 도입한 국내·외 연구 동향을 비교분석하며, 연구 동향에서 나타난 과학사에 대한 실태 및 인식을 분석하고, 과학사의 도입으로 나타난 효과를 분석하여 앞으로 과학사 연구가 나아갈 방향을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 최근 20년 동안 과학사와 관련된 과학교육 전문 학술지에 게재된 논문을 대상으로 분석하였으며, 온라인 검색과 도서관 외국학술지지원센터를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과, 2011년 이후 국내에서는 과학사에 대한 연구편수가 감소하고 있으며, 국외에서는 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 과학 영역에 따른 분석에서 국내에서는 생물영역에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, 국외에서는 물리영역에서 과학사 연구가 높게 나타났다. 연구 대상에 따른 분석에서 학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 국외에서는 문헌을 대상으로 한 연구도 많이 이루어졌다. 연구 내용에 따른 분석에서 국내에서는 과학교육에서 과학사 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 나타난 효과에 관한 연구가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 국외에서는 과학사에 대한 실태나 인식에 관한 연구가 가장 높게 나타났다. 연구동향에 나타난 과학교육에서 과학사 도입의 필요성에 대한 인식은 인지적 영역에서 높게 나타났으며, 과학사의 자료에 대한 실태분석에서 과학사 자료가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 연구동향에 나타난 과학사를 적용하여 나타난 효과 분석에서 인지적 영역에서는 개념이해와 과학의 본성에서 높게 나타났으며 정의적 영역에서는 흥미유발에서 효과가 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 최근 20년간 국내·외 과학교육 전문 학술지 게재된 연구 논문으로 과학사 연구 동향 및 과학사 도입의 효과를 분석한 결과이므로, 이 결과를 일반화하기 위해서는 국내·외에서 발행된 과학사를 도입한 과학교육 학위논문과 기관지 및 학회발표문이나 자료집을 대상으로 확대 적용한 연구 결과가 필요할 것이다.;In international and domestic field of science education, it has been tried to introduce history of science into educational curriculum of science. So that improves the learning outcome and encourages students to be interested in science education. This study analyzed studies about actual perception and benefits from introduction of history in science education and will provide the way which project for history of science should follow. The results were as follow : 1) the greatest number of studies about history in science had conducted in 2009. There is decreasing tendency for study about history in science in domestic after 2011, while increasing in internationally. 2) in fields of science, the largest number of studies published in Biology in Korea, while Physic was the mostly studied internationally. 3) for the object, most of studies carried out via surveying students in domestic, while there were several studies based on literature. 4) for the contents, studies about actual benefits from history in science was mostly conducted, while reality and perception was mostly studied internationally. 5) the necessity of introduction of history in science was high in recognition section. There is lack of recourses about history in science. 6) for the benefits from introduction of history in science, there were improvements in understanding concepts and nature of science in recognition section. And encouraging to have interest was successful in definitive section. History of science research based on the results of this study better way to go : It is inevitable to develop historical approach program in every field in science. And, there is lack of materials about history in science. Hence, more studies and Teaching materials or teaching method will be required.
