다중지능이론을 적용한 오페라 '리골레토' 감상지도안

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to map out teaching plans for opera appreciation based on Gardner's multiple intelligences theory that individual people might have different profiles of inborn intelligence. It's basically meant to raise awareness of the necessity of diverse learning activities in music class, to boost the class participation and interest of students, to foster their different intelligences and ultimately to educate them to become well-rounded people. Modern education has been under the influence of constructivism, which argues that individuals should construct knowledge in their own way based on their social experience. Under the circumstances, teachers need to create a wide variety of educational environments and to focus on developing unique characteristics of people by actively using individual creativity and various abilities. In accordance with the current flow of the society, music appreciation activity could be done. So far, the sense of hearing has been the only vehicle of music education, which could just be called a one-dimensional teaching method. In this study, the field of opera appreciation to which various approaches could be taken was selected, since it is an effective appreciation activity that could be of use for the development of other intelligences as well as musical intelligence and is likely to affect the other sorts of sense. To lay the theoretical foundation for the study, the revised 2009 curriculum was analyzed to discuss the necessity of appreciation in music education and appreciation education in high school music class, and the definition and outline of the multiple intelligences theory were explained. The types of the multiple intelligences were additionally explained, and the necessity of music education through the multiple intelligences theory was explored. After a model teaching plan for music was devised based on the multiple intelligences theory, sequential lesson plans were mapped out. To formulate teaching strategies, opera appreciation activities were prepared in consideration of the types of the multiple intelligences, and how to teach and evaluate in each session was carefully planned. Thus, a teaching plan for three sessions was prepared, and activity paper for each session was produced based on the multiple intelligences theory. This teaching plan was verified by three high school teachers without selecting a separate experimental group. As a result, that was considered to be effective at developing diverse intelligences as it included various sorts of activities, and the teachers also thought the structure and teaching method of it would be good enough to ignite the interest of students. In conclusion, more research efforts should be channeled into the development of teaching and learning activities for music based on the multiple intelligences theory to spark the interest of students in music, to step up the development of their diverse intelligences and ultimately to let them grow into well-rounded people through music education.;본 연구의 목적은 개개인마다 지니고 태어나는 지능의 프로파일은 다를 수 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 개개인마다 다른 지능이 계발된다고 주장한 가드너의 다중지능이론을 바탕으로 오페라 감상 수업 지도안을 개발함으로써 음악의 학습 활동의 다양성을 제시하고 학생들의 참여와 흥미도를 높이고, 동시에 다양한 지능을 발달시켜 전인적인 인간으로 교육하는 것에 목적이 있다. 현대의 교육은 넘쳐나는 지식을 개인의 사회적 경험에 의거하여 개인적으로 구성하는 구성주의 시대를 맞이하였다. 따라서 교사는 다양한 교육적 환경을 제공해야할 필요가 있으며, 개인의 창의성과 다양한 능력을 활용하여 개성을 개발할 수 있도록 도와주어야 한다. 이러한 시대사조를 반영하여 음악 감상 활동도 이루어져야 한다. 이론적 배경에서는 음악 교육에서의 감상의 필요성을 고등학교 음악과 감상교육을 2009개정교육과정으로 고찰해보고, 다중지능이론의 정의, 기초 및 준거, 종류에 대한 내용을 포함하여 다중지능이론을 적용한 음악 교육의 필요성을 고찰해보았다. 또한 청각에만 의존했던 일차원적인 교육방식에서 벗어나 보다 훨씬 그 접근 방법이 다양하여 음악적 지능뿐만 아니라 동시에 인간의 다른 지능 발달에도 도움을 줄 수 있는 오페라 분야를 선택한 근거를 제공하였다. 연구의 내용으로 다중지능이론을 적용한 음악과 수업지도안 모형을 개발하여 단계에 맞는 수업 계획을 제시하고, 다중지능이론을 적용한 수업 전략으로 다중지능 유형별 오페라 감상 활동을 연구하고, 차시별 학습 지도 계획 및 평가를 바탕으로 3차시 지도안을 작성하였다. 각 차시마다 다중지능이론과 관련된 감상활동지를 개발하여 감상 활동에 도움이 되고자 하였다. 본 지도안은 실험집단을 거치지 않았으므로 현직 고등학교 교원 3명을 통해 검증단계를 거쳤다. 그 결과 교수・학습 지도안의 많은 활동을 통해 다양한 지능계발에 효과적이라고 보고 있으며, 전체 내용 구성과 지도 방법이 학생들의 흥미를 유도하는데 적절할 것이라는 의견이 나왔다. 필자는 본 연구를 통해 다중지능이론을 적용한 음악과 교수・학습활동 연구가 활발히 진행되어 학생들로 하여금 음악에 대한 관심도를 높이고 더불어 다양한 지능을 계발시켜 전인적인 인간으로 성장시키는 음악교육이 되기를 기대한다.
