타자 지향적 주체 형성을 위한 시 교육 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 학습자가 시 텍스트에 나타나는 유의미한 타자를 경험하는 과정에서 타자를 지향하는 주체 의식을 확립할 수 있게 된다고 본다. 학습자가 자아를 중심에 두는 폐쇄적인 자기 이해에서 벗어나서 자신이 속한 세계에서 다양한 존재들과 상호작용하면서 형성되는 주체로서 자신을 인식할 있도록 하는 것이 본 연구의 주된 목적이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 여성시가 주된 연구의 대상으로 설정된다. 여성시에 등장하는 주체는 한 사회의 주류적 가치 체계에 따라 타자로 규정된 자신의 자리를 능동적으로 재구성하여 자신의 정체성을 확립하고 있다. 이처럼 현재의 삶을 타자의 관점에서 조망하고 있는 여성시를 통해 타자를 지향하는 주체가 어떠한 양상을 지니고 있는지 파악할 수 있는 것이다. Ⅱ장에서는 타자 지향의 주체를 개념화하기 위한 이론적 전제를 밝힌다. 기존에 통용되어 왔던 시적 주체는 자아와 세계의 동일시라는 서정적 체험을 근간으로 하여 자아의 관점에서 세계를 대상화하는 서정적인 자아에 해당한다. 그러나 기존의 시적 주체 개념은 타자와의 상호과정 속에서 주체가 성립되는 과정을 설명하지 못한다. 반면 ‘타자 지향의 주체’는 타자를 주체의 의식 활동 없이는 아무런 의미를 갖지 못하는 수동적 존재가 아니라 주체와 똑같은 의식을 가진 인격체로 간주한다. 이 때문에 타자 지향의 주체는 타자를 소통 과정에서 경험적으로 이해하고자 한다. Ⅲ장에서는 고정희, 김승희, 김선우의 시 텍스트를 중심으로 타자로서의 인식을 통해 정체성을 확립해 가는 양상을 언어, 주변부적 시선, 연대을 통한 소통의 관점에서 구체화한다. 첫째, 여성시에 나타나는 주체는 자신들의 목소리를 표현할 수 있는 언어가 부재한다는 인식을 가지고 있다. 언어는 세계 속에서 소통하고 자신을 규정하는 데 가장 중요한 매체가 되지만, 여성의 목소리는 기존의 언어 체계에서 불가해하거나 무의미한 소리로 간주되기 때문이다. 이 때문에 여성시의 주체들은 기존의 언어 소통 방식을 해체하고 자신들의 고유한 사고와 감정을 표현할 수 있는 언어를 창조해 내고자 하는 것이다. 둘째, 여성시의 주체들은 주변부적인 시선을 통해서 가부장적 규범 안에 내재된 폭력성을 가시화한다. 더 나아가 이들은 일상의 질서 속에 존재하는 균열의 질서를 포착하는 여성적 조망을 통해 현실에 대한 새로운 관심을 촉구한다. 셋째, 여성시의 주체들은 현실에 대한 비판적 인식에서 나아가 개별 인간의 고유성을 존중하고 타자 존재들을 포용함으로써 연대를 지향하는 소통 주체로 존재하는 양상을 나타낸다. 이들은 개별 주체들이 처해 있는 상황적 조건을 고려하는 태도를 보이며, 타자로 분류된 존재들과의 관계성을 모색함으로써 새로운 연대를 제시한다. Ⅳ장에서는 학습자가 시를 통해 타자의 삶에 대한 이해를 높이고 보다 확장된 시각에서 다양한 인간 군상들이 존재하는 우리 공동체에 대해 성찰할 수 있도록 시 교육의 목표와 과정을 설계한다. 타자의 존재에 대해 개방적인 수용 태도를 함양할 수 있기 위해서는 학습자가 여성시를 경험함으로써 타자의 맥락에서 삶을 조망하고, 그 이전까지는 알지 못했던 새로운 삶의 문제들을 인식하면서 의식을 변화시키고, 궁극에는 공동의 문제에 참여함으로써 공동체의 윤리를 지향하는 과정이 수반될 필요가 있다. 본 연구를 통해서 학습자가 유아론적인 자기 이해의 방식에서 벗어나서 타자의 삶의 방식을 존중하고, 공동체 속에서 소통할 수 있는 주체 의식을 갖출 수 있기를 기대한다. ;I assume that learners have to understand ‘the Other’ by reading of poetry text which describes various ways of life and represents concern for Others. The purpose of this study is to find the contents of the formation of the Other-oriented Subject through Korean Women Poetry as a main object which refers to the subject of woman classified as Others and shows a critical perspective of the reality in the world. In order to fulfill these, the concept of ‘lyric self’ is reconsidered on the second chapter. Because lyric self presumed self-centeredness which imparts a meaning to the world as object, it can not explain how self-identity forms in the course of experience in the world. On the other hand, the Other-oriented Subject interprets the world at the interaction with other people. And the Other-oriented Subject see Others not as object but as human beings and participant in communication. On the third chapter, the embodiment of the Other-oriented Subject is presented in Korean Women Poetry written by Goh Jeong hee(고정희), Kim Seung hee(김승희) and Kim Seon woo(김선우). The subject in Korean Women Poetry which describes women as beings objectified from themselves confirms a position as Others that is assigned in patriarchal society. This study on this chapter goes through how the subjects in Korean Women Poetry identify themselves in terms of ‘language’, ‘perspective’, ‘community of solidarity. First, the subjects in Women Poetry have an awareness of language in which they can not express their emotion and experience. They resist an exclusive reality of language and attempt to create their's own language. Second, they find an unstable base of everyday life through feministic perspective. The subjects in Women poetry reject a stability in daily life, because they face the rule of social norms oppressing themselves in everyday happenings. Third, they pursue interaction for community solidarity. They accept the difference in each situation and interact with otherized existences. On the forth chapter, it would design the aims and the process of developing learners as the Other-oriented Subject in poetry education. Learners are able to acquire comprehension about life of other people and macroscopic view of their community and promote an attitude of hospitality by experiencing Women Poetry. Through theses, learners form their identity emphasized on social harmony.
