펑크 이미지의 표현기법을 응용한 스타일링 연구

Abstract

Modern fashion comes to pursue a sensible fashion style due to a tendency of emphasizing each individualities rather than a typical beauty, depending on the change of fitting(try-on) method of clothes because of mass consumption. As a fashion, a medium which best expresses the lifestyles and characters of individuals has a close relationship with society, modern people want to be highlighted with his own individuality different from that of others. Therefore, a tendency to pay more attention to physical attraction and appearance and express themselves through specific means is further intensified. Because of this social state, not only the combination of clothes but also the coordination with various styling elements such as accessary, hair or make-up style, etc is recognized as important by demanding and pursuing the newer modernistic style and escaping from a concept of merely wearing a clothes. In addition, as the fashion market is evolved and the clothes has been differently changed, various kinds of trends coexist and the fashion styling is identified as an important modernistic genre in fashion industry. Among a variety of fashion trends, the punk fashion, a fashion code frequently appearing in recent years has occupied an important position. Naturally penetrated into daily life along with the transition of new sense, the punk fashion shows the mode of complex culture with the diverse cultural features in high and street fashions, and has a significant effect on modern fashion field. Thus, the purpose of this thesis is to perform styling of new elegant punk image by avoiding the expression method with street concept shown in old punk. Also, a fresh and creative punk fashion styling would be suggested by establishing concept, character of styling and theory of its role appearing in modern fashion, escaping from the previous vulgar punk image, and reinterpreting the punk image of couture sensitivity combined with high culture with modernistic sense. The method for this study is to examine the definition and background of punk, and its aesthetic features through the image photographs of punk fashion styling and diverse kinds of literature studies. Based on this method, the expression techniques shown in punk images can be categorized. A total of 6 techniques are as follows: patchwork, collage, boring, tearing, painting and clout ornament. These new 6 punk look stylings are suggested by properly combining styling elements such as accessary (shoes, bag, hat, muffler, gloves), hair and make-up, model, and clothes harmonized with expression techniques for the creation of effective images in piece production. The results of this study through the presented styling suggestions are as follows: First, based on theoretical consideration of fashion styling, it is found that the role of creative stylist becomes more important in various fields which demand the production of fashion image, including internet home-shopping, event, broadcast, entertainment, fashion show, fashion magazine publication, advertisement, publicity which can suggest new fitting method and lead consumers to buy them. For the ultimate purpose of fashion styling, the effective image creation, various production elements and the symbolistic meaning and aesthetic features of the society should be properly combined. Second, through punk fashion, punk families' resistance consciousness against their society is projected into clothes, and the consciousness derived from this background receives the resistant, destructive and confused mode of clothes, regardless of gender. They were able to understand that the creative idea different from old aesthetic sense is originated form street fashion. The representative details of punk styling can be verified in clothes with accessaries such as zippered black jacket with metallic clout ornamented on cara, shoulder and sleeve, tight pants, torn pants, safety fin, metal chain, razor blade, and exaggerated hair and make-up style. Third, the analysis of features of punk styles among modern fashion collection, suggests that the aesthetic features of punk images can be categorized into resistance, abhorrence, playfulness, destruction, decadence and decoration. Based on this result, 6 expression techniques shown in punk image can be suggested : patchwork, collage, boring, tearing, painting and clout ornament. And the punk fashion styling with a fresh sensitivity can be created through the pieces harmonized with such techniques. Fourth, the color project can produce the punk look with modernistic and gorgeous sensitivity by selecting the brown tone color as a dominant color and beige, yellow, orange, red color as accent color. Firth, fur, suede and wool are used as main materials, and PVC, jersey, label, bandage and gauze are used as idiosyncratic materials. The high quality materials such as fur and wool are suitable to express the couture sensitivity and the characters of punk can be produced with match of idiosyncratic materials. Sixth, the multiplicity is highlighted by differently producing the hair and make-up depending on the features of formative styling. Through the eye or lip make-up with spread effect which emphasizes the sense of depth, yellow lip color, the make-up expressing the masculine image, the make-up with graffiti effect and exaggerated hair style, the remarkable effect can be exhibited, and the fashion styling can prominently modify the image according to the intentioned production of hair or make-up. Seventh, in each styles, the punk look traits can be maximized by coordinating the accessary items such as shoes, bag, hat, gloves and muffler with the expression technique of clout ornament. This study analyzed the expression techniques : patchwork, collage, boring, tearing, painting and clout ornament appearing in punk image by paying attention to the fact that the 'punk fashion' has been recently identified as an important fashion code in mass society. And six directing photographies of gorgeous punk image styling with modernistic sensitivity by using these techniques. Further study of new image expression of punk fashion is expected to be continued in the field of fashion styling research, based on this thesis.;현대 패션은 대량생산, 대량 소비로 인하여 의복의 착장방식이 다양하게 변화함에 따라 정형화된 아름다움 보다는 각자의 개성을 중요시하는 추세로 흐르면서 감각 있는 패션 스타일을 추구하게 되었다. 패션은 개인의 개성과 라이프스타일을 가장 잘 표현해주는 매개체로 사회와 밀접한 연관을 갖게 되면서 현대인들은 남들과 다른 개성으로 주목받고 싶어 한다. 이에 따라 신체적 매력이나 외모에 더욱 관심을 갖고 구체화된 수단을 통해 자신을 표현하려는 경향이 더욱 강해지고 있다. 이러한 사회적 현상은 더욱더 새로운 현대적 스타일을 원하고 추구함으로써 단순히 옷을 입는 다는 개념에서 벗어나 의상만의 조화뿐만 아니라 액세서리, 헤어 및 메이크업 스타일등 다양한 스타일링 요소들과의 코디네이션이 중요하게 되었다. 또한 패션시장이 진화되면서 의복이 다양하게 변화함에 따라 패션 업계는 여러 가지 트렌드가 공존하게 되었고 패션 스타일링은 현 시대에 중요한 장르로 자리 잡게 되었다. 다양한 패션 트렌드 중 펑크패션은 최근 몇 년 간 자주 등장하는 패션코드로서 매우 중요한 위치로 자리매김 하고 있다. 펑크패션은 새로운 감각의 전환으로 일상 속에 자연스럽게 침투되어 하이패션과 스트리트 패션에서 다양한 문화적 특성을 지닌 복합문화의 양상을 보이며, 현대 패션 분야에 커다란 영향력을 끼치고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 펑크에서 보여 지던 스트리트 개념의 표현방법에서 벗어나 고급스러운 새로운 펑크 이미지를 스타일링 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 현대 패션에서 나타나는 스타일링의 개념, 특성 및 역할에 대한 이론을 정립하고 기존의 저속한 펑크 이미지에서 탈피하여 고급문화와 접목된 꾸띄르적 감성의 펑크 이미지를 현대적 감각으로 재해석하여 새롭고 창의적인 펑크 패션 스타일링을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구를 위한 방법으로는 각종 문헌연구와 펑크 패션 스타일링의 이미지 사진을 통해 펑크 정의와 발생배경, 미적 특성에 대해 살펴보았으며, 이를 토대로 펑크 이미지에서 나타난 표현기법들을 분류할 수 있었다. 분류된 표현기법은 패치워크, 꼴라쥬 기법, 구멍 내기, 찢기, 페인팅, 징 박기로 총 6가지의 표현기법들로 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 작품제작에 있어서는 효과적인 이미지 창출을 위해 표현기법들을 접목시킨 의상과 액세서리 (신발, 가방, 모자 ,머플러, 장갑), 헤어 및 메이크업, 모델 등의 스타일링 요소들을 적절하게 조합함으로써 6점의 새로운 펑크 룩 스타일링을 제시 하였다. 이렇게 연출된 스타일링 제안을 통해 내린 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 패션 스타일링의 이론적 고찰을 통해서 기존세대의 패션과 다른 새로운 착장방법을 제안하고, 소비자로 하여금 소비를 유도할 수 있는 광고․홍보분야, 패션 매거진 출판 분야, 패션쇼 및 이벤트 분야, 방송․연예분야, 인터넷 쇼핑관련분야, 홈쇼핑 관련 분야 등 패션 이미지 연출이 요구되는 다양한 분야에서 창의적인 스타일리스트 역할의 중요성이 점점 확대 되여 지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 패션 스타일링의 궁극적인 목표인 효과적인 이미지 창출을 위해서 다양한 연출 요소들의 적절한 배합과 그 사회가 갖고 있는 상징적인 의미와 미적 특성이 잘 조화되어야 함도 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 펑크 패션은 펑크족의 사회에 대한 반항과 저항의식을 의상에 투영하였으며, 이러한 배경에서 형성된 의식은 성별에 관계없이 저항하고 파괴하며 혼동적인 양상의 의상을 수용하는 형태로 나타났다. 그들은 기존의 미의식에서 탈피한 창조적 발상은 스트리트 패션에서 시작됨을 알 수 있었다. 오리지널 펑크의 대표적인 스타일링의 디테일은 카라나 어깨, 소매부분에 금속성 징이 박힌 지퍼달린 검정 가죽재킷과 몸에 꽉 끼는 찢어진 팬츠, 안전핀, 쇠사슬, 면도날 등의 액세서리 착용과 과장된 헤어 및 메이크업스타일을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 현대 패션 컬렉션 중 펑크스타일의 특징을 분석해 본 결과 펑크 이미지에 나타나는 미적특성을 6가지로 분류하여 저항성, 혐오성, 유희성, 해체성, 퇴폐성, 장식성이라는 것을 알 수 있었으며 이를 토대로 펑크 이미지에서 나타난 6가지 표현기법들을 제시할 수 있었다. 그 표현기법으로는 패치워크, 꼴라쥬 기법, 구멍 내기, 찢기, 페인팅, 징 박기의 기법이며, 이 기법들을 응용하여 접목시킨 작품으로 새로운 감성의 펑크 패션 스타일링을 연출 할 수 있었다. 넷째, 컬러기획은 브라운 톤의 컬러를 주조 색으로 선정하고, 악센트 컬러는 베이지, 옐로우, 오렌지, 레드컬러를 선택함으로써 현대적이고 고급스러운 감성의 펑크 룩을 연출할 수 있었다 다섯째, 소재는 가죽과 스웨이드, 울을 주소재로 선택하고, 이색 소재로 PVC, 저지, 라벨, 붕대와 거즈 등을 사용하였다. 가죽과 울 등의 고급 소재는 꾸띄르적 감성을 표현하기에 적합했고 이색소재의 매치로 펑크의 특성을 연출할 수 있었다 여섯째, 조형적 스타일링의 특성에 따라 헤어 및 메이크업을 다르게 연출해 다양성을 부각시켰다. 깊이 감을 강조한 번짐 효과의 눈 화장과 입술화장, 노란색 립 컬러, 남성 이미지를 표현한 메이크업, 그라피티 효과의 메이크업과 과장된 헤어스타일등으로 강조의 효과를 얻게 되었으며 패션 스타일링은 헤어와 메이크업의 의도적 연출에 따라 이미지가 현저히 달라짐을 알 수 있었다. 일곱째, 각 스타일 마다 징 박기 표현기법을 응용한 신발, 가방, 모자, 장갑, 머플러 등의 액세서리 아이템을 코디네이션 하여 펑크 룩의 특성을 극대화 할 수 있었으며 스타일링에 있어서 액세서리의 효과적인 조합은 전체 이미지를 결정하는 중요한 요소라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 최근 몇 년 간 ‘펑크패션’이 대중사회에서 중요한 패션코드로 자리매김하고 있는 점을 주목하여 펑크 이미지에 나타난 표현기법(패치워크, 꼴라쥬 기법, 찢기, 구멍 내기, 페인팅, 징 박기 기법)들을 분석하였다. 이 기법들을 응용하여 현대적인 감성의 고급스러운 펑크 이미지 스타일링 연출사진 6점을 제시하였다. 이 논문을 계기로 패션스타일링 연구 분야에서 펑크 패션의 새로운 이미지 표현에 대한 지속적인 연구가 이루어지길 기대한다.
