염원이 담긴 환상세계의 표현연구

Abstract

Paintings are the visualization of the authors' innermost dreams by their own language. The artists' inner worlds or ideas move the minds of the viewers or invite them to the space of ideals. Authors express their inner subjective worlds of fantasy created from their experiences with their own visual languages. Everyone has a primal desires and aspirations for something inside him/her. I also have incessant aspirations that are generated everyday; some aspirations exist among them that are bright are warm and have inherent tendencies to pursue stable happiness. These tendencies have something common with simple, free and realistic aspirations of ancient people, namely Korean sentiment that pursue spiritual aspect of desire rather than materialistic desire, especially with folk paintings full of Korean disposition. I was born and have lived in Korea, so it can be said that Korean culture or emotion is laid in the foundation of my sentiments. My illusory world of aspiration that is created from the everyday experience or feeling is to be visualized in Korean sentiments and Korean way of expression. My fantasy world of aspiration that is created from the everyday experience or feeling is to be visualized in Korean sentiments and Korean way of expression. In this paper, literature search and analysis will be performed on the inner fantasy; a topic will be designates as 'fantasy filled with aspiration'; discussion will be conducted on the aspirational illusion shown in the sentiment and culture of Koreans; and evaluation will be made for the expression of fantasy in Korean folk paintings. Based on these, an effective form of expression will be found to produce some works, and verification and investigation will be made through audience's reaction to the works which will be displayed in an exhibition. In addition, study will be performed how to re-interpret the contemporary aspirations through the form of traditional folk paintings of the past, and how to effectively express the colors, configuration and storytelling visually. Whereas past existential ideology or thought-focused drawings were meant to infuse authors' theories unilaterally, my works will be offering rest space by sentimental and ideal topics, and further be suggesting arts of comfort and healing.;그림이란 작가 내면의 꿈을 자신만의 언어로 시각화하는 것이다. 예술가가 표현하는 자신의 내면세계 또는 사상은 보는 이의 마음을 움직이며 이상의 공간으로 초대하기도 한다. 작가는 경험에서 생성되는 내면의 주관적인 환상의 세계를 자신만의 시각언어로 표출한다. 누구나 내면에는 무언가에 대한 원초적인 욕구와 염원을 가지고 있다. 본인 역시 일상에서 생성되는 끊임없는 염원을 가지고 있는데 그 안에는 밝고 따뜻하며 안정적인 행복을 추구하는 성향이 내제되어있는 염원이 존재한다. 이러한 성향은 옛사람들의 소박하고 자유로우며 현실적인 염원, 즉 물질적인 욕구보다 정신적인 측면의 욕구를 추구하는 한국적인 정서와 상통하며, 그 중에서도 한국인의 성향이 잘 나타나 있는 민화에 잘 나타난다. 한국에서 태어나고 살아온 본인의 정서에는 한국적인 문화 또는 정서가 그 밑바탕에 깔려있다고 할 수 있다. 일상에서 겪게 되는 경험이나 느낌을 바탕으로 생성되는 본인의 염원이 담긴 환상세계를 한국적인 정서와 한국적인 표현방법으로 시각화 하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 내면의 환상에 대하여 문헌 조사를 하여 연구하고 '염원이 담긴 환상'이라는 분야를 지정하여 한국인의 정서와 문화 속에 나타나고 있는 염원이 담긴 환상에 대하여 알아보고 한국문화 속에 나타난 환상에 대한 표현에 대하여 알아보고자 한다. 이를 토대로 효과적인 표현 양식을 탐구하여 작품을 제작한 후 전시회를 개최하여 작업에 대한 관람객의 반응을 통해 검증하고 검토하고자 한다. 그리고 과거의 전통적인 민화의 양식을 기반으로 현시대의 염원을 현대적으로 재해석하여 어떻게 시각적으로 색채와 구성방식과 스토리전달이 효과적인 표현으로 구현될 수 있는지 연구하고자 한다. 과거의 실존적인 이념 또는 사고 중심의 그림들이 일방적으로 작가의 이론들을 이해시키려 했다면 본인 작업에서는 감성적이고 이상적인 주제들로 보는 이로 하여금 쉬어갈 수 있는 공간을 제공하고 나아가 위로와 치유의 예술을 제시하고자 한다.
