제한적 컬러를 이용한 타이포그래피 표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

디자인 제작 과정에 있어서 시간과 비용의 효을 문제는 디자인으로 해결해야 할 또 하나의 과제이다. 시간과 비용이 충분하지 않은 실제 디자인 작업에서 이러한 문제들은 디자인의 제약적 조건으로 작용하지만, 컬러에 대한 이해를 통해 이를 극복할 수 있겠다. 인쇄 비용과 시간을 최소화 시키면서 컬러 효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있는 방법들을 연구해보았다. 본 연구는 색의 상호작용을 바탕으로 제한적 컬러를 이용한 타이포그래피 작품 제작에 관한 논문이다. 본 연구의 목적은 컬러를 제한한 타이포그래피 작품 제작을 통하여 커뮤니케이션의 잠재력을 더욱 극대화시키면서 시각적인 호소력을 가진 자기만의 활자와 색을 조합해내는 데 있다. 이 연구의 이론적 배경으로는 디자이너이자 교육자인 조셉 앨버스(Josef fibers)의 『색의 상호작용(Interaction of Color)」에 대한 이론을 검토하였으며, 컬러와 문자의 결합에 대한 연구와 함께 이를 바탕으로 제한적 컬러를 이용하여 4원색 이상의 풍부한 효과를 내고 있는 타이포그래피 작품 표현의 예들을 살펴 보았다. 이러한 방법론들을 정리하여 체계화 하였으며 또한 인쇄에서 컬러의 대부분이 어떻게 만들어지고 표현되는가에 관한 문제들도 함께 다루었다. 마지막으로 위의 연구를 바탕으로 실제 작업에 들어가 3들 컬러를 이용한 8가지 작품을 제작하였다. ;In the production of design, it is necessary to consider the efficiency of time and cost as one of its problems. In the process of actual production, where there are a lot of time and cost constraints, 1 tried to find a method of maximizing color effects with minimum time and cost through study of colors. This paper is about the research involved in experimental typography production using limited colors through different interaction of colors. The object of this research is to maximize inherent communication effects and to produce a unique font and color with strong visual appeal based on limited color typography. This research was based on the studies of Josef fibers' interaction of colors. It also examines the combination of colors and letters, and the effects of typography communication using limited colors. It also addresses how color is created and expressed through printing, and using limited colors, tries to formulate a method of typography expression that can have the qualities of 4 dimension effects. Lastly, 1 produced 8 examples using 3 color tones based on the above research.
