멀티미디어를 활용한 중국어 교수-학습 보조자료의 설계와 구현

Abstract

본 논문은 멀티미디어를 활용한 외국어 교육의 효용성을 바탕으로, 중국어 교육에서의 멀티미디어 활용가치에 대해 살펴보고, 학교 현장에서 곧바로 활용할수 있는 중국어 I 교과서와 연계된 멀티미디어 교수-학습 보조자료를 설계하고 구현하는 것에 그 목표를 두고 있다. 최근 들어 그 중요성이 크게 부각되고 있는 멀티미디어는 문자, 그림, 사진, 소리, 음성, 동영상, 애니메이션 등의 다양한 정보를 조합하여 나타낼 수 있기 때문에, 외국어 학습에 활용할 경우 학습자들에게 시각정보와 청각정보를 동시에 제공할 수 있어 더욱 긍정적인 학습 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 현재까지 노래, 영화, 인터넷, CD-ROM Title 등 멀티미디어를 활용한 외국어교수-학습에 관해 다양한 선행연구들이 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 고등학교 수업 현장에서 직접 활용할 수 있도록 교과서 내용과 연계되어 제작된 자료는 매우 드물었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 고등학교 중국어 교사들이 수업시간에 활용할 수 있도록 교과서와 연계된 교수-학습 보조자료를 설계하고 구현하고자 하였다. 보조 자료의 제작을 위해 우선 제7차 교육과정에 의해 제작된 6종 교과서 중에서 가장 사용빈도가 높은 정진출판사의 고등학교 중국어 I 교과서를 선택하여 제1과부터 제15과까지 어휘, 문법, 의사소통 기능 및 문화 등 교과서 내용을 분석하였다 또한 본문과 관련된 자료를 수집하기 위해 중국어 교수-학습에 관련된 한국 및 중국의 인터넷 site를 이용하였으며, 부족한 자료들은 직접 제작하였다. 이러한 과정으로 제작된 보조자료는 각 단원별로 '회화자료', '노래자료', '동영상자료', '문화 및 기타자료'로 구분되어 제시된다. 회화자료로는 본문의 주요 내용을 원어민의 발음을 통하여 무한 반복하여 시청할 수 있는 교과서 본문과 관련된 플래시 애니메이션을 선정하였으며, 노래자료로는 본문의 어휘, 어법, 관용구 등을 쉽게 학습할 수 있도록 잰말놀이, 동요나가요 중에서 각 단원의 주요 학습요소가 출현하는 것을 선정하여 학습 효과를 제고시키고자 하였다. 또한 동영상자료로는 TV 애니메이션과 중국드라마, 중국영화 등에서 본문과 관련된 내용을 발췌하여 실제 언어가 사용되는 상황을 제시하였으며, 문화 및 기타자료로는 본문과 관련된 중국 문화자료와 중국어 학습에 도움을 줄 수 있는 기타 교수-학습 자료들을 제시하여 학습자들의 흥미를 유발하고자 하였다. 이와 같이 본고는 고등학교 중국어 I 교과서와 연계된 멀티미디어를 활용한 중국어 교수-학습 보조자료를 설계 및 구현하였으며, 이를 CD를 제작하여 교과서지면의 한계를 뛰어넘어 학습자들에게 보다 현실감 있고 생동감 있는 살아있는 중국어 교육을 제공하여 고등학교 현장에서의 중국어 교수-학습에 미력하나마 도움이 되고자 한다.

;The purpose of this study was to design and implement multimedia teaching-learning supporting materials that were linked with high school Chinese textbook I and could be used in classrooms directly, after examining the value that multimedia had as a teaching-learning method in Chinese education, based on the fact that it was effective to teach foreign language by using multimedia. It is the recent trend to emphasize the significance of multimedia because it can convey a lot of information by combining it with various types of data such as letters, pictures, photographs, sounds, voice, motion pictures, and animation. It is expected that if multimedia is used as a tool of teaching and learning, the very property of multimedia can help learner to study and learn much more effectively because learners can be provided with visual and auditory information at the same time. Until now, many preceding studies have been conducted in the area of foreign language teaching and learning concerning the use of multimedia such as songs, films, Internet, and CD-ROM title in classrooms. However, there were rarely materials that were developed reflecting the contents of textbooks so that teachers could use them in classrooms directly. Thus, this study was aimed to design and implement supporting materials for teaching and learning that were linked with a textbook so that high school Chinese teachers could use them in instructing students. At first, to design supporting material, unit one to fifteen of the high school Chinese textbook I published by Jeongjinsa, that were chosen as a textbook by the greatest number of high schools in Korea among six kinds of high school Chinese textbooks in the seventh educational curriculum, were selected and the areas of vocabulary, grammar, communicative function and cultural information were dealt with in the textbook were analyzed. In addition, Korean and Chinese Internet sites related with Chinese language teaching and learning were made of use to get materials connected with main text, and if there were not appropriate materials, the researcher developed them in person. The supporting materials designed were separated and then presented as 'materials for conversation', 'materials for singing', 'motion pictures', and 'cultural and other material' in each chapter. Materials of conversation consisted of flash animations that were linked with the text of the textbook and designed for learners to watch repeatedly with recorded voice of a native speaker's. Materials of singing was developed to help learners to study vocabulary, grammar, and idioms of the text with ease, so children's songs and Korean pop songs that were related to main teaming focus of the textbook were selected to be used for them to enhance the effect of learning. Motion pictures were made up of extracted parts from TV animation, Chinese soap operas, and Chinese films that reflected the text of the textbook, to provide real situations that native language was spoken in actual. Cultural and other materials was designed to encourage learners to be motivated by offering teaching and learning materials that included cultural information of China related to the main text and that were helpful for Chinese language learning. In conclusion, this study was aimed to provide learners with more realistic and lively Chinese education and to help teachers to instruct in high school classrooms without limitation the textbook had, by designing 'Chinese teaching-learning supporting CD material using Multimedia'.
