인터레이싱(Interlacing)기법을 이용한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

현대복식은 대량생산보다는 다품종 소량생산지향으로 나아가고 있으며 소비자 또한 자신의 자존심이나 개성을 패션을 통해 주장하고 표현하고자 한다. 또한 시대적 욕구를 충족시키기 위한 창조과정에서 미래의 경향을 제시하여, 패션에 대한 흥미나 욕구를 충족시키는 새로운 아이디어 창출에 노력하고자 한다. 이러한 디자인을 위한 새로운 소재의 도입으로 수공예적 기법이 많이 응용되어 있으며 자연에서부터 시작한 인터레이싱 (Interlacing) 기법은 인간생활의 필요성과 장식성에 의해 여러가지로 활용되고 있다. 파고팅의 수공예적인 기법을 복식디자인에 적용시키고 인체와의 조화로 창의적인 디자인 개발을 시도할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 파고팅의 다양한 기법을 토대로 그 기법을 복식디자인과 연결시켜 기법의 무한한 변형을 인식하고 인체의 자연스러운 선과 조화시켜 현대적 복식에 도입하고. 새로운 모티브로서의 가능성을 갖고 현대적인 디자인 창출의 한 방법으로서 확대시켜나가는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 내용 및 이론적 배경은 자연으로부터 자기보호의 한 방법으로 동,식물에서 나타난 인터레이싱의 엮기 기법의 기원과 개념, 그 기법의 종류를 알아보고 그 이래로 인간생활의 필요에 의해 생활 곳곳에 나타난 전반적인 파고팅을 자세히 살펴보고 현대복식에 있어 수공예적인 기법을 도입한 표현양식의 실례를 분석해본다. 이를 토대로 하여 파고팅의 기법을 응용, 변화시킨 기법을 현대적인 복식디자인에 조화시켜 표현하는데 중점을 두어 여덟점의 작품을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하여 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 평면적인 파고팅기법을 실제 바다위에서 재구성하여 인체선과 조화된 입체적 형태로 구성할수 있었다. 둘째, 자연환경에 의한 필요성에 의해 나타난 서로 얽히는 파고팅기법의 무한한 변형과 그 응용된 기법을 통하여 조형적인 미를 실용성과 조형성이 결합된 복식디자인에의 접목을 통하여 현대복식의상의 모티브로서의 가능성을 제시한다. 셋째, 수공예적인 기법을 복식에 도입함으로서 산업문명발달로 인한 대량화, 획일화된 의상생산에서 벗어나 각 개인의 자아표현을 개성적, 예술적으로 표현할 수 있는 독창적인 디자인을 시도한다. 넷째, 특별한 도구없이 손에 의하여 작업이 가능한 파고팅기법은 고부가가치의 상품개발을 만드는데 좋은 방법이 됨을 확인하였다.;The contemporary clothing industry is directed at lot-size production rather than mass production and the consumer aims to express his or her self-identity and uniqueness through fashion. Furthermore the demand of the times must be fulfilled by the creative process which lends direction to future possibilities, thus fashion is burdened with the duty of providing new ideas which satisfy the whim and desires of the people. In order to create fashion of such calibur, the introduction of new ruaterials and the application of handicraft is imminent, furthermore the interlacing method derived from nature itself is utilized in daily life owing to it necessity and decorative traits. By utilizing the handicraft method of interlacing in fashion design can be sought to harmonize with the human body and thus render the development of creative designs possible. Therefore, the goal of this study is to develop infinite variations of the interlacing method and merge them with fashion design, adapting it to the natural curve lines of the human body and also, research the possibilities of new materials and motifs to expand the scope of contemporary fashion design as we know it. The content and theory of this study is based on the origin of the Interlacing method in nature, where animals and plant life use interlacing as self-defense. The study purports to examive the specific methods of interlacing sprouting in varions aspects of human life and it's necessity, and analyze the caseso fexpressive methods of applied handicraft slcills. Based on the results of the study so far, the researcher applies the interlacing method in varions forms, th the eight fashion designs presented. The results of the study are as follows. First, the 2-dimensional plane of interlacing is adapted to the 3-dimensional patterns of the actual human-form and a new silhouette has been realized. Second, the interlacing method derived from the necessities of the ratural environment can be seen in an infinate number of variations, and such different forms can be adapted to contemporary beauty compatible to fashion design, presenting the possibilities for new motivs in contemporary design. Third, the handicraft arts methods applied to design reflects the individuals self expression and uniqueness in artistic formats rather than the mass production of the industrial society and the monolistic fashion industry. Fourth, the interlacing method is simple and does not require the use of ornate tools or skills. Therefore the high margin rates of products of high quality and design are insured, as seen in the case studies.
