스페인의 장식을 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

복식은 개인의 사상, 감정, 예술성을 나타내는 시각적 표현 형태이자 한 시대의 문화적 양식에 뿌리를 둔 경험적 산물이며 그것은 각기 그 문화권 속에서 독특하게 형성된 고유의 전통과 문화를 반영하고 있다. 그러나, 오늘날 복식에 나타난 민속적인 고유의 특징은 산업화로인한 대량생산과 대중매체의 발달에 의하여 점차 보편화 되어가며 일부는 소멸되어 가고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 스페인의 민속예술과 민속복식의 개념 및 특성을 분석하고 그것을 바탕으로 복식에 있어서 민속적 이미지 표현의 가능성을 시도하여 현대 복식으로써의 발전과 표현방향을 모색하려는데 있다. 본 논문의 연구의 내용및 방법은 스페인 민속복식에 나타나 있는 스페니쉬 임브로이더리 (Spanish Embroidery)와 스페니쉬 레이스(Spanish Lace)에 대한 문헌적인 조사방법에 의한 이론적 배경과 그것을 바탕으로 한 실물제작으로 구성되어 있다. 연구를 위한 이론적 배경으로는, 먼저 스페인의 민속예술중 건축과 회화의 특징 및 장신구에 대하여 살펴보았다. 또한 스페인의 민속복식과 민속복식에 표현된 극단적인 표면 장식 즉 스페니쉬 임브로이더리와 스페니쉬 레이스의 특징에 관하여 고찰하였다. 이를 토대로 하여 작품은 스페인 복식에서 사용되어진 스페니쉬 임브로이더리와 스페니쉬 레이스의 표현방법을 응용하여 전체적으로 현대적인 감각의 민속적 이미지를 연출하는데 중점을 두어 충 8점의 작품을 실물제작하였다. 이러한 연구과정을 통한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전통 민속 예술의 조형기법은 복식에 있어서도 다양한 방법으로 표현되어 왔으며 현대복식에서도 미적인 응용가치면에서 발전의 여지가 많음을 인식하게 되었다. 둘째, 복식의 장식적인 측면에서 스페니쉬 임브로이더리와 스페니쉬 레이스는 그 표현방법과 장식예술의 공예적 이미지를 통해 복식의 독자적인 조형성을 추구할 수 있었다. 셋째, 복식표현에 있어서 민속예술 및 민속복식에 의한 유형과 기법의 도입은 전통에 대한 고정관념을 넘어 다양한 각도에서 복식 표현의 주제가 될 수 있음을 인식하게 되었다. 넷째, 각 지역 민족들의 민속복식중에는 기능과 미적측면을 공유한 현대복식으로 응용될 수 있는 우수한 전통 양식들이 다양하게 존재하고 있음을 본 연구를 통하여 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과로 오늘날 복식표현에 있어 민속예술과 민속복식의 전통적인 유형이나 기법등의 도입은 전통의 재창조를 바탕으로 한 다양한 각도에서 복식표현의 주제가 될 수 있으며 세게 각 민족들의 전통문화중에는 복식의 주제로 활용될 수 있는 좋은 양식들이 다양하게 존재함을 인식할 수 있었다.;Dress and its ornament are a visual expression fdrm which represent a person's idea, emotion and artistic character, they are also the product of experience based on a culture pattern of a era and simultaneously reflecting peculiar and tradition and culture which were uniquely formed in each cultural area. Because of mass production by industrialization and development of mass media, however, traditional property found in folk dressing is gradually universalized and become extinct partiy in these days. The purpose of this paper is an analysis of the conception and property of traditional folk art and dressing. And by considering the capability of combination dressing with folk property on the foundation of them, this paper will grop for new presentation direction of modern dressing. This paper study Spanish Embroidery and Spanish Lace shown in spanish folk dressing for a theorectical background and produce works as large as lifesize. First of all, personal ornaments and property of architecture and paintings among Spanish folk art are considered and the property of Spanish Embroidery, the extreme surface ornament found in Spanish folk dressing, and Spanish Lace are also hardly studied. Therefore, works focused on representation of folk image in modern sensation appling the presentation method of Spanish Embroidery and Spanish Lace used in Spanish folk dressing and produced as large as lifesize in total eight numbers. The conculsion of study is as follows. First, modeling technique shown in the traditional folk art have been also expressed variously in folk dressing. Beside, it have wide application value and much room for development in modern dressing. Second, from the ornamental point of view, Spanish Embroidery and Spanish Lace had embodied unique modeling technique through peculiar presentation method and industrial-art image of Spanish folk art. Third, the introduction of technique and pattern which covered folk art and dressing can be presentation motif beyond a fixed idea about tradition. Forth, it is confirmed that brillant traditional style which can be applied to modern dressing that emphasize practicality and beauty is manifoldly existing among various folk dressing in each people. In view of the result so far achieved, introduction of technique and pattern which wvered folk art and folk dress can be the subject of expressing of dress by various a view point is founden on traditional recreation and it is that brillant traditional style which can be applied to the subject of dress among various folk dressing of each people in the world.
