보육시설 보육교사의 전문성에 관한 연구

Abstract

1960년대 이후 경제 발전을 수반한 산업화와 도시화는 가족구조의 변화와 의식변화에 큰 변화를 가져 왔으며, 산업발전과 함께 여성의 사회참여를 촉진시키게 되었다. 이런 변화는 아동 보육 욕구를 증대시키게 되었고, 보육시설의 확충이 필순 불가결하게 되었다. 1991년 교육과 보호의 기능이 통합되는 영유아 보육법이 제정, 시행되면서 우리나라의 보육정책은 일대 전환점을 가져왔다. 사회변화와 경제발전은 보육시설의 양질화를 추구하게 되었고, 보육서비스의 발전과 미래의 재산인 아동을 위해서도 보육서비스의 양질화는 중요한 것이다. 본 연구자는 보육시설의 양질화를 위해서는 보육교사의 전문화가 가장 중요하다고 보았다. 왜냐하면 보육교사는 아동의 학습·발달·정서·성장에 중요한 기여를 하며, 교사의 전문성이 곧 보육서비스의 전문화와 연결되기 때문이다. 보육교사 전문성에 관한 연구는 보육교사의 전문성을 평가·분석하여 보육교사의 전문성 향상을 위해 제도적으로 반영될 수 있고, 개선해야 할 것이 무인가를 알아봄으로서 보육교사가 최대한으로 전문적인 능력을 발휘할 수 있도록 하는데 기여할 자료를 제시함에 목적을 둔다. 위와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구는 문헌연구와 Spss/pc+를 통한 조사 방법론을 병행하였다. 문헌연구에서는 보육교사의 역할, 전문성의 기준을 고찰하여 조사 연구의 기초를 형성하고자 하였다. 조사연구는 서울과 인천지역에서 근무하고 있는 보육교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 총 178 명이 분석대상이 되었고, 조사기간은 1994년 10월 17일부터 1994년 10월 31일까지 였다. 조사도구는 지역사회탁아소 연합회와 김 현숙이 사용한 설문지를 수정·보완하였고, Stahlut의 도구를 기초로 하여 사용하였다. 조사 도구의 문항은 총 92 문항이며, 일반적 사항 10문항과 보육교사들의 배경적 차원의 신체적·정서적 건강의 유지에 대해서 13문항, 훈련 교육 31문항으로 구성하였고, 활동적 차원의 수행능력 30문항(영유아를 위한 기초지식 : 7문항, 교육과정 운영방법 : 19문항, 교수방법의 응용과 습득 : 4문항), 책임성과 자율성에 대한 5문항으로 구성하였다. 자료는 Spss/pc+ 프로그램의 단순빈도와 백분율, 교차분석과 일원변량분석으로 통계처리 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 밝혀진 조사결과는 4개의 분석틀에 의해서 분석하였다. 보육교사의 전문성에 대한 배경적 차원을 알아보기 위하여 신체적·정서적 건강의 유지 정도와 훈련교육으로 분석하였으며, 활동적 차원을 보기 위하여 수행능력, 책임성과 자율성을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 분석틀에 의해서 조사결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사들의 연령은 20대가, 학력은 전문대졸 이상이, 전문대 졸 이상일 경우 유아교육 전공자와 사회사업(사회복지) 전공자가 가장 많았다. 자격증 소지자는 98.3%로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 신체적·정서적 건강을 유지하는 정도는 낮은 정도이며, 환경적 조건도 열악한 수준으로 나타났다. 셋째, 훈련교육의 필요성은 높게 나타났으며, 보육교사들은 훈련교육에 대한 내용과 체제가 체계화되기를 원하였다. 양성교육에 대해서는 영유아 보육실무에 관한 분야의 중요성을 강조하였고, 상담과 부모교육방법 등의 부분이 강화되기를 원하였다. 보수교육과정에 대한 효과성과 필요성은 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 보육교사가 갖추어야할 전체적인 능력을 조사한 결과 평균 3.57로 충분한 수준으로 나타났다(영유아 보육에 관찰 기초지식 3.36, 교육과정 운영 방법 3.53, 교수방법의 응용과 습득 3.33). 변인별로 분석한 결과 경력별로 보았을 때, 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 다섯째, 보육교사들의 책임성과 자율성에 대한 분석에서 책임성에 대한 부분은 긍정적인 수준이었고, 자율성에 대한 부분은 부정적인 수준임을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 위의 결과들을 종합해 볼 때, 보육교사의 전문성은 보육교사의 자체 능력의 향상과 외적조건, 사회적 인정에 조화롭게 갖추어져야만이 보육교사들이 충분한 전문성을 발휘할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 본 연구를 통해 보육서비스는 보편적인 접근으로의 아동복지서비스이기 때문에, 사회사업적 의의가 크며, 보육교사의 전문성은 곧 보육서비스의 전문화와 함께 사회문제의 예방적인 역할에도 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 보육교사는 광의의 사회사업가로서 볼 수 있으며, 교육적 기능·보호적 기능·사회적 서비스 기능을 수행하기 때문에 아동에 대한 전반적인 지식과 신념, 수행능력 등을 갖추어야 함을 알 수 있었고, 보육교사의 전문화가 곧 보육서비스의 전문화를 가져옴을 확인할 수 있었다.;The Industrialization and the Unbanization after the 1968's brought a big change into our family structure and our way of thinking, and expedited the participation of women in society. Such changes increase the need of day care center, so the expansion of day care equipment became indispensable. As the law for protection and education of little children was established and put inforce in 1991, our nursing policy met a turning point. The social change and the economic development came to pursue the good quality of education for Little children. The good quality of day care service is indispensable to the development of nursing service and the children who are our hope of the furture. I feel that Day Care teachers play the most important part for the child's good upbringing because a teacher makes a great contribution to the improvement, the learning and the growth of the sentiments of a child. So, the professionalism of a teachers has a connection with the specialization of Day care service. In other words, this study about the professionalism of nursing teachers will assessment professionalism of nursing teacher. The point of this study will be firstly reflect the existing system to nursing teachers, secondly to make the conten of education or the children adequate throug the upgrading of the quality of the teachers. so in this study, In this study we will propose to contribute act to the best of teacher's ability. To accomplish the objective, ]In this study we will be using the idears from literature and the ideas from peoples directly surveyed. In a reference bibliography, we will make the foundation considering the role of nursing teachers, the standard of professionalism and the present state. In the survey we proposed questions to persons who worked in the area of Seoul and Incheon. 178 persons were surveyed. And the period of this survey was from 10.17.1994 to 10.31.1994. As the tools of this investigation, we used Stahut's method and the questionaires which was already used by Kim Hyun Sook and the local community nursing association after revising and supplementing the latter. The sentence pattern of survey consists of the whole 92 items, and 10 common items, 13 items which are for maintenance of physical and emotional health, 31 items which are educational program, 30 items which are for the performance of teacher's duties, 5 items which are responsibility and self-control. After this survey we tabulated statistics of this data using simple frequency, the percent, x^(2), and ANOVA. The follow four variables, pysical and emotional healthy conditions and training education, were employed to see the backgrounds of nursing teachers. And to examine the activies of nursing teacher their performance, responsiblities and self-control were used. The survey shows the following results. 1. A lot of nursing teachers are in their twenties. Most of them have graduated from a juniors college. They almost majored in the education of little children and in the age group of 1 year to 3 years. As graduated from a juniors college, Most of them have a subject of special study early child education and social work(social welfare). A qualified person was 98.3 percent. 2. The level of maintenance of physical and emotional health were inferiored and condition of circumstance appear of the low level. 3. Necessity of education program was appear high level. and nursing and nursing teacher were demanded to systematic content and system of the education program. Preparation program emphasize to importance of early child care practial part, counseling and parenting education method part. The necessity and effectiveness of the re-education course appear high level. 4. Affer studying about the ability of nursing teachers, as a consequence it follows that their grade point average is above 3.5 and the determinant which was an important effect upon their experiences. 5. In the analysis of responsibility and self-control of nursing teachers, the part of responsibility would be affirmative. The part of selt-control would be unfairness. In summary, the empirical results found that the improvement of teachers capabilities and external conditions in harmony with the social recognitions in this matter will be the necessary conditions for the professionalism of nursing teachers. Also the results show that the professionalism and their services will play on important role in preventing social problems. In short, nursing teachers can be regarded as social workers. So they must have not only general knowledge and faith of the children but also capability of performance since they perform several functions such as education, protection and social services through their works, in this society.
