중학교 음악감상학습의 효과적인 방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

오늘날 중학교 음악교육은 가창을 포함한 연주, 창작, 감상의 세분야로 나누어져 교육되고 있다. 이 네가지의 분야 중 감상교육 분야는 음악을 형성하고 있는 음을 인식하는데 근원적인 역할을 하며 더 나아가 청각적 체험을 통한 적극적이고 능동적인 창조활동을 창출할 수 있으며, 완성된 음악이 건내주는 하나의 아름다움을 향수할 수 있는 분야이기 때문에 감상학습 활동은 음악교육의 가장 중요한 부분이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 보다 효과적인 음악감상수업을 할 수 있도록 감상교육의 방법을 제시하는데 있다. 연구자는 첫째, 문헌연구를 통하여 음악감상의 음향학적, 심리적, 사회적 측면을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 설문서를 통하여 일선학교의 음악감상 실태를 조사, 분석하였다. 셋째, 위 두 사실에 근거하여 현장에서 사용할 수 있는 감상학습안을 제시하였다. 설문서의 결과를 볼 때 우리나라 현장에서 이루어지고 있는 음악감상학습에는 다소의 문제점이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 문제점은 감상이란 학습 영역에 대한 자체적인 문제라기보다는 교육을 담당하고 있는 교사들의 고정관념에서 비롯되었다는 것을 알게 되었다. 감상이라는 것이 음악교육의 독자적인 영역임은 틀림없으나 중학생의 성장과정과 심리적인 면, 사회적인 면을 참고할 때 음악감상을 통한 전반적인 음악교육을 프로그램하는 것이 보다 효과적이라는 사실도 또한 알게 되었다. 연구자는 음악교육의 총체적인 목표가 미적능력을 신장시키는 데에 있다는 것을 감안하여 음악미의 신장을 주 골자로 하고 이를 위한 방법으로 1) 표현능력과 2) 감상능력을 구성요소로 하는 감상학습안을 제시하였다. 제시된 감상학습모형이 학생들의 심미적인 경험을 높이고 능동적이고 적극적으로 음악의 아름다움을 추구하려는 마음과 태도를 길러주는 동기가 되었으면 좋겠다. 제시된 감상학습모형은 음악성이나 음악적인 여러 기능을 연마하는데 촛점을 두었으므로 감상을 통한 종합적인 음악교육이란 관점에서 계속적인 후속 연구가 있기를 기대한다.;It is a worldwide common phenomenon that music is located in the core of human culture. Music is a sound-art, therefore musical education should be oriented to the essential aural experience primarily. So far, Korean public school music education has advocated four branches of musical experiences--singing, playing instruments, composing music, and music appreciation. Among these, this writer strongly believes that music appreciation is the most important musical experience for every student. This is the basic belief on which this thesis has developed. Thus, developing a model music appreciation teaching plane that could be used effectively in the junior high school music class is the main purpose of the study. In order to achieve the stated goal of the study, the writer has followed the following procedures: In order to 1) investigate the current situation of music appreciation class in the junior high, the writer has developed two questionnaires--teacher's questionnaire and student's; then administered the questionnaires accordingly; 2) have a better knowledge about the subject matter, the writer studied related literature including the physical aspect, psychological aspect, and social aspect of music appreciation; 3) develop a model appreciation lesson plan, the writer analyzed the questionnaires and the used the understandings gathered from studying the related literature. The final output of the suggested appreciation lesson plan aims at developing an aesthetic sensitivity of every student through various musical experiences. The provided model plan consists of two major parts-- expression and appreciation. Underneath these major fields, various learning activities such as singing, rhythm playing, and discussion about the music they have heard are included. Though, the given model is not a perfect one yet, it will give music teachers some insights about how to organize music appreciation classes to meet the needs of their students. The basic frame of the provided appreciation plan is based on the ways of human being's gathering data from out of the world : perception-recognition of basic function of the subject-drill and imitation for better understanding, and creative stage.
