한국 소나무 이미지를 주제로 한 도자표현

Abstract

In the boundary of hug Nature, people have produced their own cultures taking a long time. Thus, most cultures are influenced by nature, and have local characteristics which has been the bases of different local cultures. Culture has become a medium to connect Nature with people. Also it may be told that culture is people's understand to Nature wether it is produced deliberately or not. As one of evergreens, the Pine tree which has been most popular tree and survived long history of Korean peninsula, stands for strong spirit and power of life which are also characteristics of Korean people. Although, the Pine tree is a tiny part of Korean Nature, it is chosen as a topic of this study due to its deep relationship between Korean Nature and people. This study was aimed to understand Korean Nature, considering it as a basis of Korean spiritual culture. This study was also conducted to examine the part of cultural sense of Korean people in the past, present and future time, by figurizing the structural characteristics of the Pine tree. In this study, mainly the stem part of a Pine tree was studied and figurized using ceramics. The author tried to figurize the sense of strong stillness, image of a Pine tree, by a variety of lines and faces. The effect of repetition, combination and direction was also used to pull the sense of movement and strength out of stillness. Methods used for the production of works were Pressing technique, Slip casting and Wheel formation. For pressing technique and slip casting, original formations were made by clay, and then the molds, were casted by gypsum. San-Chung soil, Baek-Ja soil, Chung-ja soil, mullite soil and White ceramic soil were used. for production of raw works, in accordance with the above mentioned methods. White mat glaze, chocolate color glaze, green glaze and yellow ochre color glaze were apraied on the surface of works by a compressor. Pigments(M - 142 Yellow, M - 30 Blue, M - 252 Glay, T - 9 Brown ; Hyumdae Ceramics) were mixed with white mat glaze or transparent Back-ja glaze for the spray. The first firing was processed gradually up to 900℃ and finished immediately, and the second firing was up to 1240℃ or 1250℃ and lasted for 30minutes at the either temperatures, in 0,3㎥ gas kiln.;인간은 자연이라는 거대한 테두리 안에서 오랜동안 문화를 생성해왔다. 문화는 자연과 인간을 연결시켜 주는 매개체이며 지역별로 특성을 가지고 있는데 이는 각기다른 정신 문화를 이루는 바탕이 되었다. 그러므로 본 연구자는 우리가 태어나 살고있는 한국의 자연 중에서 소나무를 소재로 하여 줄기에서 나타난 특성을 조형적으로 표현해 봄으로써 과거에서 현재와 미래로 이어지는 한국의 본질적인 의식에 대하여 고찰 하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국의 자연을 이해하고, 한국의 소나무에서 나타난 특성을 조형화 함으로써 우리 민족의 고유한 정신과 강인한 생명력이 내포되어 있는 도자 표현을 하는것이다. 그러기 위하여 우리 정신 문화의 바탕이 되는 한국의 자연과, 우리 민족의 상징이라 할 수 있는 소나무에 대하여 살펴 보았으며, 표현 방법은 소나무의 줄기 부분을 중심적으로 관찰하여 다양한 선과 면, 반복, 조화, 방향감, 역동성의 효과를 주어 정적이면서도 동적인 느낌이 나타날 수 있도록 표현하였다. 제작방법은 압축기법(壓軸技法)과 이장주입기법(泥漿注入技法 )과 물레성형으로 하였으며 , 소지는 산청토와 백자토, 청자토, 조합토, 이장용 자기 토를 각 작품의 제작기법과 특성에 맞도록 사용하였다. 시유는 모든 작품을 분무시유 하였으며 소성은 0.3㎥ 가스가마에서 900℃로 1차소성을 한 후에 2차소성은 작품6, 8을 제외하고 1250℃까지 산화소성 하였으며, 작품 6, 8은 1240℃에서 산화소성 하였다. 이상과 같이 본 연구자는 소나무의 특성을 우리 민족이 자연으로부터 영향받은 미의식과 연관지어 조형화 함으로써 자연스러우면서 힘을 느낄수 있는 도자 표현을 하고자 하였고, 이 연구로 인하여 우리 고유의 민족성에 대하여 다시한번 생각할 수 있는 계기가 되었으면 한다. 진정한 이상을 내포한 작품표현에 있어 제작상의 효과적인 방법과 더불어 작가의 정신과 태도가 깃들여야 하므로 가능한 한 많은 연구와 실험을 갖도록 노력할것이다.
