마가복음서 13장에 나타난 마가 공동체의 상황과 마가의 의도

Abstract

본 논문의 목적은 사회학적 방법을 통해 마가13장에 나타난 마가공동체의 상황과 마가의 의도를 밝히는 데 있다. 마르크젠 (W. Marxsen)이 편집비판적 방법론을 이용하여 마가복음서 기자의 신학사상을 이해하려고 시도한 이래 대부분의 마가복음서 연구는 이 방법론을 양식비판 이후 가장 괄목할 만한 방법으로 채택해 왔다. 그 결과 그리스도론이나 종말론 등이 마가복음서 전체를 좌우하는 것으로 각광을 받아 왔다. 따라서 마가의 사상에 영향을 미친 사회적·문화적 요인들과 마가복음서라는 문서를 산출해낸 공동체에 대한 관심은 상대적으로 간과되어 왔다. 그러므로 본 연구는 마가13장을 공동체가 처해있던 당시의 역사적 상황과의 상호 관련 속에서 파악하고자 한다. 마가13장은 특히 A.D.60 - 70년 사이의 유대전쟁, 성전파괴의 위협 등으로 인해 정치적 혼란과 박해가 극심했던 시기였으며, 이같은 역사적 상황은 묵시적 기대를 고조시켰고 이로 인해 종말론적 열광주의가 문제시 되었던 종교적 위기의 시기였음을 분명하게 나타내준다. 따라서 우리는 마가13장을 통해 마가공동체의 구체적인 상황과 마가가 이 본문을 통해 공동체에게 전해 주고자 했던 메시지를 읽을 수 있을 것이다. 즉, 마가13장은 정치적 혼란과 박해의 시기에 쓰여진 묵시적 담화이며, 마가는 종말론적 열광주의로 인해 신앙적 위기에 처해 있던 공동체에게 거짓된 가르침에 미혹되지 않도록 권면하고, 인자의 파루시아를 고대하며 복음전파에 힘쓸 것을 촉구했다.;The purpose of this study is to indentify the situations of the Mark community and the Mark's intention in the chapter 13 of Mark through the scoiological approach. Since W. Marxsen attempted to understand the theological thoughts of the Mark with the aid of the redaction criticism most of the stydies on the Mark Gospel have not hesitated to select this methodolgy as one of the most astonishing approaches after the form criticism. As a result, Christology and Eschatology have been highlighted as what dominates all of the Mark Gospel. Accordingly, the specific, social and cultural elements which had influence on the thoughts of the Mark and the community which had given rise to the book of the Mark Gospel had been relatively failed to notice. So, the study aims at grasping the chapter 13 of the Mark Gospel in terms of the interrelations of then historical conditions. The chapter 13 was particularly that politics was very confusing and persecution was much more severer than ever owing to the Jewish War and the destructive threats of the temple between A.D.60 and 70, and thus the historical conditions increased the apocalyptic expectation, indicating clearly that it was the time of the religious crises in which a eschatological enthusisam was problemetic. Therefore, we may read in the chapter 13 of Mark the concrete situations of the Mark community and the message which Mark wish to tell to his community. The chapter 13 being a sort of apocalyptic discourse written in the period of confusion and persecution, Mark recommended his community, which faced the religious crises due to the eachatological enthusiasm, not to get dazzled by the false teachings but to make efforts to preach the gospel looking forward to the parousia of the Son of Man.
