한국인의 Margin reflex distance 1과 Margin limbal distance에 관한 통계학적 고찰

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to estimate normal Margin reflex distance (MRD_(1)) and Margin limbal distance (MLD) values in Koreans. The subjects were 538 normal Koreans who were examined in the Department of Ophthalmology, EWHA Womans University School of Medicine from Nov. 1988 to Aug. 1989. The results were as follows: 1. The average value of MRD_(1) AND MLD were not significantly different in right and left eye. 2. The average value of MRD_(1) and MLD were not significantly different in male and female. 3. The average value of MRD_(1) and MLD were 2.6 ± 1.0 mm and 7.1 ± 1.2mm. 4. The value of MRD_(1) and MLD in the presence of supratarsal fold were significantly different from the values of the absence of supratarsal fold (p<0.05).;안검하수증의 진단에서 Margin reflex distance 1(MRD_(1))은 안검하수 정도를 판정하는데 필수적인 검사이며, Margin limbal distance(MLO)는 상안검거근 절제술 시행시 절제량을 결정하는데 기준이 된다. 한국인에 있어 해부학적인 MRD_(1)과 MLD의 평균치를 측정하고자 정상인을 연령별, 남녀별로 구분하여 비교해 본 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. MRD_(1)과 MLD수치는 좌우안별, 남녀별에서 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 없으며, MRD_(1)의 평균치는 2.6±1.0 mm이고, MLD의 평균치는 7.1±1.2 mm였다. 서양인에 비해서 동양인에서는 거의 없는 쌍꺼풀의 존재 유무와의 관계는 두 평균치 모두 쌍꺼풀이 없는 경우보다 있는 경우에서 크게 나타났는데 이것은 통계학적으로 유의성이 있었다. 따라서 서양인에서 통계처리한 MRD_(1)과 MLD의 평균치와는 상당한 차이가 있었다. 그러므로 한국인에 있어서 안검하수증진단시 한국인의 통계학적인 평균치를 기준으로 하여야 하며 수술 시행시에도 이 수치를 알고 행해야 할 것이다.
