G. F. Handel, F. Schubert, R. Schumann, F. Poulenc, B. Britten의 성악곡에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 양식상의 시대적인 순서대로 이루어진 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회 프로그램 곡목에 대한 연구이다. 필자의 졸업 연주회 프로그램은 G. F. Handel (1685~1759), F. Schubert (1797~1828), R. Schumann (1810~1856), F. Poulenc (1899∼1963), B. Britten (1913~1976)의 순서로 되어있다. Handel은 오페라와 오라토리오 작곡가로 유명하다. 그의 Opera <Giulio Cesare>에 나오는 아리아 Piangero` la Sorte mia는 가사와 선율이 밀접한 연관을 가지고 진행되며 리듬과 선율의 반복으로 곡 구성에 통일성을 제시한다. Schubert의 작품 Opus. 129 <Der Hirt auf dem Felsen>은 그가 Clarinet Obligatto를 유일하게 사용한 곡으로 구성은 A-B-C 3부분으로 명확히 구분된다. Piano반주가 성악 성부를 단순히 뒷받침하는 반면 Clarinet은 성악성부의 선율을 교대 또는 같이 연주한다. Schumann은 시와 음악의 일치를 그의 가곡에서 보여주는 작곡가이다. 시에 대한 깊은 해석, 음악적 표현의 섬세함, 반주부를 중시하고 전주와 후주가 길어지는 특징을 보여 주었다. Schubert의 전통을 한 걸음 더 발전시켰다. Goethe의 <Wilhelm Meister>에 나오는 4 Mignon's Song은 매우 진지하며 그의 특징을 그대로 돋보이게 한 작품이다. Poulenc은 Faure´, Debussy, Ravel의 뒤를 잇는 중요한 작곡가이다. 그의 만년 시기에 작곡된 <La Courte Paille>는 짧은 7곡으로 구성된 연가곡이다. 선율의 진행이 주로 순차진행을 하고 있고 3도 4도 5도 6도가 많이 나타나며 조성은 다조적인 색채를 띠지만 주된 조성체제 안에서 각 곡들간의 상호 연관성을 가지고 작곡되었다. Britten은 20C초~중반까지 활동한 Purcell이후 영국의 대표적인 작곡가로서 성악 음악에 있어서 여러 유형의 인성을 개발했고 성악적 기교와 양식을 발전시켰다. <On this Island>는 그의 piano 반주에 의한 첫번째 연가곡으로 각각의 곡은 특징적인 선율과 리듬이 반복되거나 변형되어 구성되며 화성은 3화음 7화음 9화음 등이 사용되었고 다조적인 부분이 나타나기도 한다.;This study deals with the repertories of my graduation recital program for finishing the graduate course which was made following the order of period classified by each artistic mode. My graduation recital program was that of a tradition one consisted of those songs composed by G.P. Handel (1685-1759), F. Schubert (1797-1828), R. Schumann (1810-1856), F. Poulenc (1899-1963) and B. Britten (1913-1976) in that order. And this study is a brief analysis of it. The Baroque maestro Handel was a great opera and opera and oratorio composer. His aria "Piangero la sorte mia' in opera <Giulio Cesare> develops itself with closely related text of song and melody, and provides certain unity to the whole composition with rhythmic an melodic repetition. Schubert's work Opus.129, "Der Hirt: auf dem Felsen," is the only song in which clarinet obligatto is used, and its composition is divided clearly into three parts, A-B-C, The piano accompaniment consists a rather flat harmony, but the clarinet alternates with man's voice or harmonizes with it simultaneously. Schumann, the greatest Romantic musician, composed many songs in which we can see the unity between poetry and music. Whit his ability to interprete profound meaning of poetry, he achieved certain expressional delicacy stressed mainly on the' accompaniment, and finally advanced the tradition of schubert one step forward. And four Mignon's songs in "Wilhelm Meister" the musical version of Goethe's masterpiece of the same title, are very serious songs that show Schumann's musical characteristics as they are. The modern French composer F. Poulenc is an important musician in the history of French music after Faure´, Debussy and Ravel. His "La Courte Paille", composed in later years, consists of seven short melodies. As the melodies progress in regular order, there are many 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th intervals, and the tuning is formed with correlative melodies in thematic tuning system, though it is somewhat multipled. B. Britten is the representative English composer in the 20th C. who succeeded Purcell. He developed various types of human sound vocal techniques and forms. "On this island" is his first collected love songs with piano accompaniment, and in each song his characteristic melody and rhythm are being repeated or transformed. As for the harmony, the 3rd, 7th and 9th chords was used, and sometimes there come multi-tuning parts.
