연을 주제로 한 율동적 표현

Abstract

미를 추구하는 인간의 역사를 자연과 인간과의 상호관계의 역사라고 한다면 인간과 자연과의 끊임없는 상호작용은 바로 조형활동의 한 과정이므로 그 과정안에서 무한한 창조가 이루어지는 것이다. 조형활동에서의 창조란 대상의 주관적 재구성을 뜻한다. 즉, 있는 그대로의 자연에서 작가의 경험, 내부로부터의 충동, 감정등의 융화되어 자연의 형태를 재구성하여 새로운 자연을 탄생시키는 것이라 하겠다. 그러므로 본 연구자는 자연과 조화를 이루는 주변의 무한한 대상중에서 하늘 높이 떠오르는 연을 소재로 하여 작품을 형성함에 있어 연구자의 심상에 비친 세계의 독창적 표현의 가능성을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경으로는 표현과 소재, 표현과 율동에 대해 고찰해 보고 이를 바탕으로 분무염 기법을 이용하여 작품을 제작하는 가운데서 다음과 같은 결론에 도달할 수 있었다. 첫째, 자연은 조형활동에 있어 무한한 소재이지만 그것을 다루는 작가의 미의식과 표현에 따라 독창적인 세계를 표현할 수 있다. 둘째, 기법에서 중요한 진전은 기술적인 것이 아니라 새로운 경험양식의 필요에서 나오는 문제들을 해결하려는 노력과 결부되어 질때 발생한다는 것을 인지하였다. 셋째, 작품제작에 있어서 분무염법은 전체 분위기가 부드럽고 유연한 공간성이 있어 유동성이 있는 연과 구름이라는 소재와는 잘 조화를 이루었다. 넷째, 이와같은 제작과정을 통하여 새로이 알게된 기법과 다양한 재료와 소재를 계속 연구 발전시켜 주제에 알맞는 적절한 표현을 하여 더욱 새롭고 독창적인 작품세계를 추구하고자 한다.;Human history which has incessantly pursued after "beauty"can be said to be a history of the interactions between "nature" and men. The ceaseless interactions between nature and men are, accordingly, regarded as a process of the activities of molding, in which imaginative creations are fulfilled. In the light of the activity of molding, a creation means a subjective reconstruction of an object. So to speak, it is to give birth to a new nature by reorganizing nature as it is in the artist's imagination which cannot be separable from his inner creative urge, emotion, and experiences. In this thesis, among the objects scattered around our surroundings, I selected a kite soaring up into the air as the main material; and with it I intended to explore the possibility of my original expression of the outer world reflected in my mind. For this purpose, to begin with, theoretically, I studied the relation between expression and object, and the relation between expression and movement. And then, based upon the study, I produced a work and analyzed it. As the result, I reached the following conclusions : First, although nature seems to be full of common, featureless materials, it makes a unique world according to artists' senses of beauty and expressions. Secondly, I recognized the fact that artistic technique is improved when in is united with the artist's effort to try to solve the problems occurred as he represents a new mode of experience. Thirdly, spray technique in producing an artistic work helps to make its whole atmosphere so soft and idle that it is in harmony with such materials as floating kite and clouds. Lastly, I want to develop the techniques which I have newly got through the work; and I will seek after an artistic world more refined and more creative by giving expressions proper for the themes.
