신문기사 검색시스템 개발에 관한 연구

Abstract

신문은 일반정보와는 달리 매일매일 변화하고 다양한 정보를 기록하고 있는 재편성된 세계상이라고 말 할 수 있다. 이러한 신문정보는 세계도처에서 일어나고 있는 모든 동향을 알려주고 있으며, 역사적인 자료로서 사료적 가치를 지니고 있다. 80년대에 새롭게 등장하는 뉴미디어인 CATV, VIDEOTEXT, TELETEXT는 폭발적으로 생산되는 정보량과 더불어 신분의 중요성을 더욱 증가시켰으며 이용자의 요구에 따른 새로운 정보 처리 기술을 개발하도록 촉구하였다. 이에 따라 신문의 기능을 변화하여 좀더 다양화, 전문화해서 새로 발생하는 수요에 대처하고, 정보의 공급력을 비약적으로 확대하고 세분화시키는 데이터베이스의 역할이 대두하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 신문이 정보화 사회에서 중심적인 미디어로 발전해 가기 위해, 그리고 신문정보의 이용을 최대한 효율적으로 지원할 수 있도록 하기 위해 신문기사를 데이터베이스화 하고 검색시스템을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 앞으로 우리나라 신문업계 데이터베이스 발전에 기본적인 참고자료로서 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다. 이 시스템에 사용된 컴퓨터는 IBM 5550이며, 프로그래밍 언어로는 COBOL을 사용하였다. 본 검색시스템의 특징은 다음과 같다. 1) 신문기사 검색은 키워드에 의한 방법이 주류를 이루고 있으며, 그 외 게재일자, 신문명, 기사유형, 필자명으로 찾을 수 있도록 한정조건을 부여하였다. 2) 단일 키워드보다는 복합키워드를 주로 추출하여 검색하는 데 있어 검색시간을 빠르게 하였다. 3) 검색은 이용자가 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 메뉴 방식을 채택하였다. 4) 검색의 출력 결과에 따라 출력양식은 2종류로 나타나는데 제목만 출력되는 제목리스트 양식과 제목과 초록이 출력되는 제목과 초록리스트 양식으로 선택 기능이 주어졌다. 5) 검색결과는 통상 날짜가 오래된 순으로 출력이 가능된다. 그러나 이 시스템을 실행하는 컴퓨터의 제약으로 데이터의 양, 처리속도 등에서 제한을 받고 있다. 다만 이러한 문제는 컴퓨터를 확장함으로써 해결될 수 있으리라 사료된다. 본연구에서 개발된 시스템은 정보화 사회에서 신문이 가지는 정보가치를 제고하여 신문정보의 이미지를 쇄신할 것이며, 신문정보 이용자들에게 많은 도움을 주리라 생각한다.;The newspaper contains the object of everything under the sun and talks to a circumstances of the world reorganized. Therefore, in modern information society a newspaper is being a role of opened information which reqires that one should habe relevant abilities of arrangement, evaluation, interpretation its. Entering the 1980's, Information processing technics and data communication skills which have been developing suddenly come under the difficult conditions information processing only the past media. The change of this information environment happended needs about the information which could not to supply the past media. According to the periodic needs, the role of database which deal with the new demand more specialization as modifying a news-paper's role and expand support of information arised. The main purpose of this thesis is to take the head of media a newspaper in information society, and to make a database of newspaper's articles so as to provide maximum to efficient access for newspaper information. Therefore this retrieval system is developed. The other purpose is to present the basis of reference materials for developing a newspaper's maker of KOREA in furture. The computer used in this system is IBM 5550 multistation, and retrieval program language is COBOL. The special features of this retrieval system are as follows. 1) The retrieval access of newspaper's articles passed the main current a keyword method, and the others endowed with limited item so that can be retrieved by date, newspaper name, type of article and author name. 2) In keyword selection by made-handed, keyword selected unit-keyword than word-keyword in order to high an efficiency of retrieval. 3) To be good man-machine interface, this system selected Menu-driven mode using easily a function of every commands. 4) Output mode is two, the one is mode which shoewd only title list, the other is mode which showed title and abstract list. 5) The output is sorted in chronological order.
