어머니와 딸의 성역할정체감과 음양의복 행동간의 관계

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 모녀간의 관계를 고려하여 성역할 정체감(性役割 正體感)과 음양의복행동(陰陽衣服行動)과의 관계를 규명하는 것이며, 궁극적으로는 의복행동의 이해를 위한 이론정립에 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 규명하고자 하는 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정환경변인에 따라 음양의복행동은 영향을 받는가. 둘째, 성역할 정체감에 따라 음양의복행동은 영향을 받는가. 셋째, 딸의 성역할 정체감과 음양의복행동은 어머니의 영향을 받는가. 넷째, 어머니와 딸간의 성역할 정체감과 음양의복행동은 어떤 관계가 있는가. 측정도구로는 성역할 정체감의 측정을 위해 Bem Sex Role Inventory를 2차의 예비조사를 거쳐 수정보완하여 사용하였으며, 음양의복행동의 측정은 문헌과 선행연구에 근거하여 본 연구자가 작성한 질문지를 사용하였다. 표집대상은 이화여자대학교 1, 2학년생과 그 어머니이며 층화표출(Stratified Sampling)이 의해 선정하였고, 최종 422부를 통계분석하였다. 자료의 분석은 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차의 산출 및 Cronbach's α, t-test, 일원분산분석, Duncan's Multiple Range test, χ^(2)-test, Pearson의 적률상관계수, 공변량분석, 중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 자료분석 결과를 토대로 하여 내린 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정환경변인 중 가족형태와 어머니의 직업유무에 따라 음양의복행동에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 즉, 어머니는 직업을 가지고 있는 경우에 직업을 가지고 있지 않는 경우보다 의복행동에서 양의(남성적인) 의복특성이 높았고, 여대생은 핵가족의 자녀일 경우에 확대가족의 자녀보다 양의 의복특성이 높았다. 둘째, 어머니의 성역할 정체감에 따라 어머니의 음양의복행동은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러나 여대생은 성역할 정체감에 따라 음양의복행동에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 즉, 남성성 (masculine)유형의 여대생은 의복행동에서 양의 의복특성이 높았고 여성성(feminine) 유형의 여대생은 음의(여성적인) 의복특성이 높았으며, 양성성(androgynous)유형과 미분화(undifferentiated)유형의 여대생은 그 중간의 의복행동을 보였다. 셋째, 어머니의 성역할 정체감과 음양의복행동은 딸의 성역할 정체감과 음양의복행동에 각각 유의한 영향을 주었다. 넷째, 어머니와 딸의 성역할 정체감과 음양의복행동간의 전반적인 관계를 보면, 딸의 음양의복행동에 직접적인 영향을 준 변인은 딸 자신의 성역할 정체감과 어머니의 음양의복행동이었으며, 이 중 자신의 성역할 정체감이 더 큰 영향을 주었다. 그리고 어머니의 성역할 정체감은 딸의 음양의복행동에 간접적인 영향을 주었다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sex-role identy and yin-yang clothing behavior. The following hypotheses were established for this study. 1. There will be significant differences in yin-yang clothing behavior according to home environmental variables such as family type, mother's employment, social class. 2. There will be significant difference in yin-yang clothing behavior according to sex-role identity. 3. There will be significant relationship between mother and daughter in sex-role identity and yin-yang clothing behavior. 4. There will be significant difference in daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior according to mother's sex-role identity, mother's yin-yang clothing behavior, daughter's sex-role identity. Sex-role identity was measured by Bern Sex Role Inventory (1974) modified and supplemented for this study. For the measurement of yin-yang clothing behavior, researcher developed a questionnaire. Data were collected from 422 women, both college women and her mother. For statistical analysis, frequency distribution, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Duncan's multiple range test χ^(2) -test Pearson's correlation coefficients, analysis of covariance, multiple regression analysis were used. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: 1. There were significant differences in yin-yang clothing behavior according to home environmental variables such as family type, mother's employment. 2. There was not significant difference in mother's yin-yang clothing behavior according to mother's sex-role identity. But, the difference in daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior according to daughter's sex-role identity was significant. Positive significant relationship was found between. daughter's sex-role identity and daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior. 3. Mother's sex-role identity had influence on daughter's sex-role identity. And mother's yin-yang clothing behavior had influence on daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior, too. 4. There was significant difference in daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior according to mother's yin-yang clothing behavior and daughter's sex-role identity. Mother's yin-yang clothing behavior and daughter's sex-role identity directly affected daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior, but mother's sex-role identity indirectly affected daughter's yin-yang clothing behavior.
