슬리트(Slit)의 조형성을 응용한 복식디자인

Abstract

20세기에 접어들면서 예술운동은 점점 대상의 형태 재현을 벗어나 자기표현이 강조되는 조형적인 측면을 추구하기 시작하였다. 이러한 경향으로 조형예술은 인간 개인의 본능적인 조형의지에 의하여 순수 조형요소가 조형미를 표현하게 되었으며 조형적 미는 내적인 요구에 의해서 작품 속에 본질적인 현상으로 나타나게 되었다. 따라서 점차 모든 예술의 세계에서 인간의 내적가치를 더욱 신뢰해야 된다는 관점이 성립하게 되었고 복식에 있어서도 예술적 조형미를 표현하는 형태가 계속되고 있다. 복식도 조형예술의 한 분야로서 작가의 창조의지와 예술에 가장 밀착되어 표현되며, 조형적 창조적인 形으로 독자적인 예술세계를 추구하고 있다. 본 연구자는 복식조형의 추구를 위하여 예술적 창조의지에 따라 술리트(Slit)의 조형성 표현을 목적으로 새로운 복식조형예술의 가치를 모색하였다. 따라서 조형예술 작품에 나타난 조형개념이 복식에 표현된 것을 전개하고 복식의 무한한 형태를 나타내는 슬리트의 입체적 효과를 표현하였다. 이러한 목적에 따른 작품제작을 위하여 현대 조형예술의 조형개념을 문헌을 통해 고찰하였으며, 60년대 이후 복식자료를 중심으로 복식의 조형미 표현에 관하여 연구 하였다. 실물제작 작품은 총 9점으로 양모를 주원료로 한 펠트(felt)를 소재로 하여 제작하였다. 그리고 3점은 슬리트의 조형성을 일러스트레이션으로 표현하였다. 슬리트의 응용디자인이 복식에 표현된 실물제작을 통하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫쩨 ; 본인의 창조적 의지에 따라 슬리트의 조형적 요소를 통하여 복식의 다양한 조형표현을 가능케 해 주었다. 둘째 ; 착장하고 동작할 때의 슬리트된 선의 표현은 다른 조형분야에서는 느끼지 못하는 살아있는 조각으로서의 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 세째 ; 제작과정에서 염색의 농담과 번지기 기법등을 활용함으로서 슬리트된 선의 입체감을 표현할 수 있었다. 네째 ; 직물의 질감이 주는 포근한 분위기에서 슬리트된 선의 강렬한 표현을 볼 수 있었다. 다섯째 ; 슬리트는 조형적인 표현뿐 아니라 인체의 활동적인 부분에 응용되어 생활상의 기능을 가지게 된다. 이러한 결과로 조형예술로서의 복식디자인은 조형적 요소의 폭 넓은 활용과 작가의 독창성으로 예술적인 조형성 면이 연구되어 져야 할 것이다.;Art movement got out of the form-reappearance of an object and gradually began to pursue a formative aspect which emphasized self-expression since the twentieth century. According to this tendency, the pure formative factor expressed a formative beauty by the instinctive formative of individuals expressed as a essential phenomenon by inner demand in works. This expression made a point of view that human inner value must be trusted more and more in all arts. Also in clothing, the style which expressed a artistic image and a formative beauty has continued. The clothing was expressed by the close adherance of art and artist's creative will as a field of a formative arts. And the clothing pursued a original art world as a formative, creative style. I sought the value of new clothing formative arts for the purpose of the formative expression of slit by this artistic creative will. Accordingly I caught the point that a formative idea gave expression to clothing. And I showed the solid effect of slit which expressed unlimited form regarding clothing as a formative arts. On the purpose of making a work with this intention, at first I considered the formative idea of a modern formative arts throughout all literature. And I studied the formative beauty of clothing throughout all data since 1960's. The works are totally eight pieces. I made clothing applied slit with felt for the purpose of emphasizing the formativism of line. And in three of all works, I tried to show intensively the character of formation slit with a illustration. The conclusions form practivelly making the works, expressed to clothes by applied design are as follows. 1. Only formative factor was able to make formative expression of clothing variously by this researcher's will. 2. At the time of idealizing and acting, the expression of slited line showed an effect as a living sculpture which could not be felt in other formative arts. 3. A sense of solid from slited line could be expressed by using the techniques of shading and spreading in the process of making works. 4. A distinct expression of slited line was shown in the feeling of softness from the fabric. 5. Slit can be used for the formative expression and also can be practiced when we apply it to the parts concerning the human's activities. These conclusions show that clothing design as a formative arts has an infinite possibility according to an artist's creative will and the broad application of a formative factor. Therefore, clothing must be studied in the artistic formative aspect.
