유치원의 집단구성 유형에 따른 효율성에 관한 실험 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find the differences in children's activity, teacher's role and child-teacher-material interaction and to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness in school readiness and socio-emotional development, in comparison between multi-age and homogeneous age groupings. For the present study two urban kindergarten classes each respectively representing the above groups were selected. The subjects were 57 children selected according to age, sex, socio-economic status of the family and IQ scores of children The basic statistical treatment, t-test and chi-square (X^(2)) verification were applied to analyze data collected from children. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1. There were significant differences between the selected two groups in type of children's activity and in size of play groups. (P<.01) 2. There were significant differences between the selected two groups in child-teacher-material interaction. (P<.01) 3. There were no significant differences between the selected two groups in the school readiness. (P>.1) 4. There were significant differences between the selected two groups in the socio-emotional development.(P<.05);본 연구는 동일 연령 집단으로 구성되어 있는 유치원과 혼합 연령 집단으로 구성되어 있는 유치원을 선정하여 각 유치원의 활동내용과 교사의 역할 그리고 아동·교사·교구간의 상호작용을 비교 분석하고, 집단 유형에 따른 아동의 학습 준비도와 사회·정서 발달에 미치는 효율성을 분석해 보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이 연구는 다음과 같은 가설을 검증하고자 한다. 가설Ⅰ. 선정된 두 집단간에는 활동의 종류 및 활동 집단의 크기에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다. 가설Ⅱ. 선정된 두 집단 간에는 아동·교사·교구간의 상호작용의 정도에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다. 가설Ⅲ. 선정된 두 집단간에는 아동의 학습 준비도 측면에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다. 가설Ⅳ. 선정된 두 집단간에는 아동의 사회·정서 발달 증진에 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다. 위에 세운 가설을 검증하기 위해, 대상 아동은 교사의 경력 아동의 성, 연령 , 지능 그리고 부모의 교육 정도를 고려하여 남·여 아동 57명을 대상으로 관찰과 학습준비도 검사, 사회 ,정서발달 평정척도를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료들은 기본적인 통계처리를 한 다음 두 집단간의 차의 유의도를 검증하기 위하여 관찰은 x^(2)검증하였고 학습준비도 검사와 사회·정서발달 평정척도는 t검증하였다. 본 연구의 실험결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 선정된 두 집단간에는 활동의 종류 및 활동 집단의 크기에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있었다. (P<.01) 2. 선정된 두 집단간에는 아동·교사·교구간의 상호작용의 정도에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있었다. (P<.01) 3. 선정된 두 집단간에는 아동의 학습준비도 측면에 있어서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. (P>.1) 4. 선정된 두 집단간에는 아동의 사회·정서 발달 증진에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있었다. (P<.05)
