데이타 베이스 개념적·논리적 설계를 위한 전문가 시스템에 관한 연구

Abstract

데이타 베이스 설계 과정에서 개념적 설계와 논리적 설계는 가장 중요한 부분이 된다. 본 논문은 이런 개념적 설계와 논리적 설계를 돕는 전문가 시스템, DES (Database design Expert System)의 설계ㆍ구현에 관해 기술한 것이다. DES는 데이타 베이스를 설계하고자 하는 사용자가 객체 (objects), 특성 (attributes) 그리고 그 것들의 관계 (relationships)를 편리하게 정의할 수 있도록 개념적 설계를 유도하고 이렇게 해서 정의된 정보 구조를 관계 데이타 모델로 바꾸어 저장한다. DES는 대화식으로 설계를 진행하고, 역방향 추론 연결 제어 구조를 이용해서 추론한다.;Conceptual database design and Logical database design are very important in designing databases. This thesis describes an Expert System, DES (Database design Expert System) that assists a database developer in modeling conceptual and logical database design. DES guides the developer through the conceptual design process defining the object classes, the attributes of that, and their relationships. The information structure is represented by the extended E-R model which can describe a generalization hierarchy structure. DES uses interactive method for the processing of database design and backward-chaining control structure for inference.
