朝鮮後期 風俗畵에 나타난 服飾美

Abstract

本 論文은 朝鮮後期 風俗畵에 나타난 服飾의 造形的 分析을 통해 우리 傳統服飾의 조형적 優秀性을 입증하고, 그 美的 특성을 論한 것이다. 風俗畵의 服飾은 당시의 生活服飾이자 우리 傳統服飾으로서 비교적 개성적으로 표현되고 있으나, 그 가운데서도 儒敎的 階級社會를 배경으로 한 신분적 차등이 엿보여 그 당시 服飾의 槪念이 현재와는 차이가 있음을 把握할 수 있었다. 風俗畵에 나타난 服飾美는 한마디로 "단순하면서도 세련된 멋"이라 표현할 수 있으며, 그 美的 特徵은 첫째, 단순한 形態와 曲線的인 실루엣, 둘째, 다양한 착장방법에 따른 조형의지의 표현, 세째, 차분하고 미묘한 색채조화, 마지막으로 자연과의 조화를 꾀한 순수한 미의식 등으로 정의할 수 있겠다. 즉, 제한된 服飾生活과 단순한 복식구성內에서 최소의 造形要素와 原理들이 개별적 또는 상호복합적으로 작용하는 한편 착장방법에 따른 조형의지의 표현으로 그 美的效果를 충분히 살린 점은 現代造形의 側面에서도 높이 평가될 수 있는 것이다. 따라서 傳統繼承의 創造的 側面에서 우리 傳統服飾의 美的 특성을 재평가하고, 더 나아가 그러한 美的 조형감각이 現代 우리 生活속에서 實用價値를 부여하여 再創造되는 것이 중요한 과제라 하겠다.;The purpose of this thesis is to study the aesthetic characteristics of our traditional costume through plastic analysis of the costume showed in the Genre paintings of the late period Chosun Dynasty and to identify its superiority in the plastic sense. The costume in the Genre paintings, as a living and traditional costume had been expressed fairly indivisual. But we can find that the concept of the costume in those days is very different from nowadays because the costume in the Genre paintings had suggested the class distinction based on Confucian Society. The beauty of the costume showed in the Genre paintings can be expressed as simple and refinded beauty. Its aesthetic characteristics can be defined as 1) simple form and curved silhouette, 2) expression of plastic consciousness through able wearing pattern, 3) calm and subtle harmony in color, and 4) pure aesthetic consciousness by harmony with nature. It can be evaluate highly in the aspect of modern plastic arts that minimal plastic elements and principles had effected separately or complicately in the limited costume pattern and simple composition and they had established the aesthetic effect by expression of plastic consciousness through wearing pattern. Therefore, in the creative way of the succession of the tradition, we should be revaluate about aesthetic characteristic of our traditional costume. In addition to, it is important to recreate that such plastic sense of aestheticity to endow the utility value in the our modern life.
