아버지 역할과 유아의 지각에 관한 연구

Abstract

The Purpose of this study is to examine father's role in Child-rearing and child's perception of his father. The questions of the study are as follows: 1. What is the father's view of value about ideal parent's role? 2. What is the father's perception of the his role playing? 3. What is the child's symbolic concept of his father, and mother, and what is the bad one? 4. What is the child's perception of the parent's role playing? The subjects were 54 boys and girs, 6.06 year old in average, and their fathers. The tools used for the study were questionnaire. and picture card, Questionnaire was distributed and filled by fathers, and interview held with children using picture card at nursery school. Analysis of variable method was used for each question according to father's academic bacground, religion, age, and child's sex. For the responses of children, Chi-square was used to analyze the difference between the sexs. The result of study are as follows: 1. For the father's view of value about role, there were significant difference among the categories of each background (academic backround, religion, ege). But in general, role of 'economic, physical, human environment support' was regarded to be most important, followed by 'health care' personality shaping' 'habit formation' and 'being the model of child'. Role of 'Providing emotional stability' and 'affect and interest' were regarded relatively less important. 2. For the father's perception of the his role playing, 'havit formation' was most active. Role of 'affect and interest' 'providing emotional stability' 'economical, physical, human environment support' and 'building personal relations' were in next ranks in suquence. But 'health care' 'personality shaping' and 'development of capabilities' were shown as not active 3. Far the child's symbolic concept of Parents, the concept of 'helpful' as well as concepts of 'strong' 'big' 'competent' 'punitive' 'fearful (daugerous)' 'dirty' 'dark' 'cold' 'mean' 'angular' was considered to be more related with father than with mother. Most of childern answered that all of those concepts except 'strong' 'big' 'competent' 'helpful' are bad concepts. 4. For the child's perception of parent's role playing, childern perceived that fathers are more strong, big than mothers and thus can protect them from danger mare safely. They also perceived that father are more behavioristic, punitive and they were hostile to fathers.;본 연구는 자녀양육에서의 아버지 역할과 아버지에 대한 유아의 지각을 알아보려고 하였으며, 이런 목적을 위하여 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 부모 역할에 대한 아버지의 가치관은 어떠한가? 2. 아버지의 역할수행에 대한 인식은 어떠한가? 3. 아버지 및 어머니에 대한 유아의 상징적 개념은 어떠하며, 그 중 바람직하지 않게 생각하는 개념은 어떤 것인가? 4. 부모의 역할수행에 대한 유아의 지각은 어떠한가? 조사대상은 평균연령 6.06세인 남녀 유아 54명과 그들의 아버지 54명으로 전체 108명이다. 아버지에게는 미리 준비된 질문지를 배부하였고, 유아와는 유치원에 마련된 빈 방에서 그림카드를 가지고 일대일로 면접하였다. 조사를 통해 수집된 질문지는 아버지의 학력, 종교, 연령 및 자녀의 성별에 따라 각 문항별로 변량분석(ANOVA)하였고, 유아의 응답은 빈도와 백분율로 표시하였다. 본 연구의 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 부모 역할에 대한 아버지들의 가치관이 학력, 종교, 연령에 따라 유의한 차이를 나타내긴 하였지만 전체적으로 볼 때 "경제적, 물적, 인적 환경조성의 역할"이 가장 중요시 되었다. 그 다음으로 "건강관리에 대한 역할", "생활습관 훈련에 대한 역할", "자녀의 모범이 되는 역할"들이 차례로 중요시 되었으며, "정서적 안정감을 갖도록 하는 역할"과 "애정 및 관심을 갖는 역할"에 대한 가치는 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 2. 아버지들의 역할수행에 대한 인식도 아버지의 학력, 종교, 연령 및 자녀의 성별에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 전체적으로는 "생활습관 훈련을 위한 역할"수행이 가장 높게 나타났고, 그 다음으로는 "애정 및 관심을 갖는 역할", "정서적 안정감을 갖도록 하는 역할", "기본적 훈육을 위한 역할", "경제적, 물적, 인적 환경조성의 역할", "대인관계 형성을 위한 역할"들이 별다른 차이없이 나타났다. "건강관리"나 "바람직한 성격 형성", "능력 개발"을 위한 역할들은 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 3. "강하다", "크다", "유능하다", "훈계적이다", "무섭다", "지저분하다", "어둡다", "차다", "평범하다", "세모나다" 이외에 "원조적이다"와 같은 상징적 개념이 어머니보다 아버지에게 더 많이 사용되었는데, 이중 "강하다", "크다", "유능하다", "원조적이다"를 제외한 나머지 개념을 바람직하지 않게 생각하는 경향이 높았다. 4. 부모의 실제 역할을 지각함에 있어서는 아버지를 어머니보다 더 크고 강하여 위험에서 잘 보호해 줄 수 있는 사람인 동시에 더 행동지향적이고 훈계적인 사람으로 판단하는 경향이 높았으며, 아버지를 더 적대시하는 경향도 나타났다.
