어머니의 성격과 유아의 사회·정서적 발달과의 관계에 대한 연구

Abstract

아동이 정신적으로 건강하고 잘 적응된 어른으로 성장하는데에는 어려서부터의 건전한 사회·정서적 발달이 중요하다. 이러한 성장과 성숙에 달하는 과정에는 무엇보다도 부모의 도움을 필요로 한다. 특히 어머니와 유아와의 관계는 가장 기본적으로 영속적인 관계이며, 유아는 어머니를 동일시함으로써 그의 행동, 성격, 태도의 발달에 지대한 영향을 받게 된다. 본 연구에서는 어머니의 성격과 유아가 유치원에서 나타내 보이는 사회·정서적 특징과의 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 유치원 남아 91명, 여아85명과 그들의 어머니들이었다. 측정방법에 있어서, 어머니용 검사는 “인성검사” (정 범모, 1970)를 사용하였고, 아동에 대한 관찰은 5평정척도가 사용되었다. 어머니의 인성요인은 각각 상, 하 두집단으로 분류했고 이에 따른 유아의 사회·정서적 발달 정도의 차이를 t검증으로 분석하였다. 결과를 보면, 어머니의 인성변인 중 지배성, 안정성, 충동성, 객관성 사려성, 그리고 사회성의 정도에 따라 유아의 사회·정서적 특징에 다소 차이를 보여 주었고 활동성과 남향성의 정도는 유아의 사회·정서적 특징에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.;A sound soical-emotional development from an early childhood is essentially required for a child to grow up to a well adjusted man of high spirit and good health. In the course of reaching to this growth-and maturity, a child must be brought up under a close observation and care of one's parent. Particularly, a relation between-a mother and an infant is very instinctive and perpetual, and an infant naturally identify. itself with its mother being greatly influenced in developing its behavior, character and attitude. In this study, more efforts were made to observe correlation of a mother's character and an infant's social-emotional development at a kindergarten. The sample case of this study was taken from kindergartens consisting of 97 male children and 85 female children and their mothers. For a method of measurement, "The Personality Test" by Chung Bum-mo (1970) was employed for test of the mothers and "Five Rating Scale" was adopted for the children. The data was analyzed by T test at 50 level. Resulting from this study, it has been observed that the degree of Dominance, Emotional stability, Impulsiveness, Objectivity, Reflectiveness, and Sociability among personality factors of the mothers show differences to some .extent insocial -emotional development of children. while the degree of General activity and Masculinity of mothers have no differences in children's social-emotional development.
