자연 내재율(內在律)의 서정적 표현 연구

Abstract

자연은 완전하고 아름다운 외관의 미(美) 뿐 만 아니라 그 내부에는 생성과 소멸이라는 정연한 창조적 질서가 내재되어 있으며, 이러한 자연이 가진 깊은 아름다움과 그 신비로움에 대한 끊임없는 동경의 마음은 인간으로 하여금 모든 예술의 미를 낳게 하였다. 예술가들은 이처럼 자연 속에 존재하는 다양한 생명 현상의 질서와 조화로부터 무궁무진한 창작의 소재를 발견하여 왔으며, 그 속에 존재하는 자연의 본질적인 특질을 찾아내어 각기 독창적인 양식으로 표현하여 왔다. 이러한 표현양식은 대상의 외적인 재현에 그치는 것이 아니라 예술가의 내면 세계에 의해 형성되는 주관적 이미지인 내면적 심상에 의한 표현을 통해 심미적 가치를 추구하는 것이다. 본 연구자에게 있어 자연은 창작의 원리와 소재에 있어서 그 근원적인 대상이 되었으며, 자연으로부터 들려오는 생명의 소리들을 섬세한 감성으로 받아들이고자 하였다. 그리하여 그 속에서 보여지는 다양한 생명 현상의 생성과 변화의 질서 즉, 자연의 생명력이 지닌 끊임없는 변화의 움직임과 흐름을 발견하였으며, 이를 내적인 심상을 통해 서정적으로 표현해 내고자 하였다. 그러므로 본 연구자는 자연의 외형보다는 내적인 이미지에 관점을 두고 이의 미학적 본질을 추구하고자 하였으며, 자연과의 만남과 그 체험을 통하여 받아들여진 감동과 주관적인 인상을 좀 더 심화된 내적 감정과 교합하여 새로운 이미지를 형성하고, 이를 통해 서정적 주관성이 투영된 자연의 이미지를 표현하고자 한 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 예술의 근원이 되는 것은 자연으로부터 비롯됨을 전제하여, 예술에 있어서의 자연이 갖는 의미에 대해 살펴보았다. 이와 아울러 자연의 생명력이 지닌 특성과 그 속의 다양한 생명 현상들에서 보여지는 생성·변화의 운율이 감성적인 체험을 통해 인지됨을 설명하고, 이것이 본인의 내면적 정서와의 교감을 통해 이루어지는 내적인 심상이 자연 내재율의 이미지들로 형성되는 과정에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 내면적 심상의 표현에 있어서 감정적 요소의 중요성과 작품 형성에 있어서의 그 의미에 대해 알아보았다. 자연의 내적 음률의 이미지를 서정적으로 형상화함에 있어서 본 연구자는 조형의 자율성과 즉흥적인 표현성을 통해, 보다 생동적인 자연 내재율을 표현하고자 하였으며, 담묵(淡墨)의 사용으로 서정적인 자연의 이미지를 이루어 내고자 하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 표현적인 특성을 방법적인 측면에서 분석해 보고자 하였다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 이론적 연구와 작품의 형성에서 나타나는 표현 방법의 특성을 살펴봄으로써 본인의 작업에 대한 객관적인 분석에 접근하고자 한 것이다. 이는 본인의 창작 동기와 작업의 전개 과정에 대한 이론적 형식 과정을 고찰하는 것으로써, 앞으로의 창작 과정의 나아갈 방향을 모색하고자 함에 그 의의가 있다.; Nature has not only a complete and picturesque external beauty, but also, an inherent creative order consisting of both creation and destruction. The endless longing for this deep beauty and mystery found in nature is what has given birth to all of man s artistic endeavors. Artists have found endless themes upon which to base their works of creativity from the order and harmony of nature, and the various living processes found within. And they have found the essential characteristics of nature and expressed these characteristics in their own creative way. This expression is not limited to the recreation of external appearance, but it pursues esthetic appreciation through the subjective expression of images formed according to the internal sensibilities of the artist. For the current researcher, nature has been the essential source in terms of the themes and principles of the creative process. She has tried to embrace the sounds, of life that emanate from nature through a more complex sensibility. By doing so, the researcher was able to find the natural order of creation and change through the various processes of life, or in other words, the movement and flow of endless change found in the power of nature. She has endeavored to express this lyrically, through her internal sensitivities. Therefore, the current researcher has pursued an expression of nature based on sensitivity, by focusing on internal image, rather than external appearance. In other words, she has endeavored to express an image of nature which reflects lyrical subjectivity by establishing a new image which combines a more passionate internal emotional state with a subjective impression attained by experiencing and interacting with nature. In this thesis, the researcher has attempted to ascertain the influence that nature has on art based on the premise that the basic source of art is nature. At the same time, she has tried to explain that the characteristics found in nature s dynamic energy and the rhythm of creation and change which is shown in the various life processes is recognized through experience based on sensitivity. She has attempted to illustrate the process in which the images emanating from the inherent rhythm of nature, which are the internal images developed through a consensus based on one s internal moods, are formed. Also, she has examined the importance of emotional elements in terms of the expression of the internal image, and their significance in terms of the creation of works of art. In terms of the lyrical shaping of the internal rhythm of nature, the current researcher attempted to express a more vibrant internal rhythm through the principle of the self-regulation of shapes, and improvisational expression. She also attempted to achieve the lyrical visualization of nature using dam-mook, which is a light shade of ink used in calligraphy. Therefore, in this thesis the researcher attempted to analyze these expressional characteristics from a methodological approach. This thesis has as its purpose, conducting an objective analysis of the researcher s work by examination from a theoretical standpoint and examining the characteristic of the expressional methods used in the creation of the work. This is in order to investigate the motive underlying the creation, and the theoretical formation process of the developmental stages of the work. Through this, it is hoped that possible directions for the creative process involved in future works can be explored.
