미술과 이해학습을 위한 사회과와의 통합적 접근 방안 연구

Abstract

In this study, to improve the fifth graders' expression ability through art understanding learning, we propose a combined approach of art and social subjects to art understanding learning based on DBAE, one of new methods in modern art education . This approach gives diverse student-oriented information and activities to students who are bored at the traditional art education centered at the textbook in oder that the students can improve their expression ability and positive self-realization. To develop the proposed combined program of art and social subjects, we analyzed the 7th Korean National Art Education textbooks and guides and surveyed DBAE learning theory and related works to the combined program of art and social subjects. For comparison purpose, we divided two groups, a test group and a controlled group. For a test group, we conducted the proposed combined program to 41 fifth graders in elementary school and For a controlled group, we didn't to 40 fifth graders in elementary school. we measure their expression ability performance by using art expression ability test paper, analyze these answers statistically and verify the good performance of the proposed combined program by using t-test. The results show that test gourp gets higher average score than controlled group in a expression ability. The results lead us to the conclusion that the proposed combined programs gives a good effects on learning expression ability. From the results of this study, our suggestions are as follows : First, teachers should pays attention to students' interest and study various methods about students' understanding and impression. Second, teachers should give various experiences in art class to students to improve students' aesthetic sense. Third, teachers should develop various and structural art educational programs which help students to improve receptive attitude of art.;이 연구는 초등학교 5학년 학생들에게 미술과 이해 학습을 통한 표현능력 향상을 목적으로, 현대 미술교육의 새로운 방법의 하나인 DBAE 학습이론에 기초한 사회과와의 통합적 수업방안의 교육적 활용에 관한 연구이다. 이는 종래의 교과서 위주의 미술교육에 젖어 있는 학생들에게 학습자 중심의 교육환경을 조성하고 다양한 정보와 체험활동을 접하게 하여, 자신의 생각이나 경험 등을 바탕으로 시각화해 나갈 수 있도록 함으로써 학습자의 표현능력을 향상시키고, 긍정적인 자아실현에 도움을 주고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재의 7차 교육 과정인 학문중심 미술교육과정의 영향으로 창작 이외의 미술사, 미술비평, 미학 등 여러 요소를 함께 학습하도록 되어있는 교육내용을 바탕으로 초등학교 5학년에게 이해학습을 위한 미술과 중심의 사회과와의 통합 프로그램을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5학년 학생을 대상으로 두 학급을 선정하여 실험집단 41명과 통제집단 40명을 구성하여 본 프로그램을 실시하고, 평가능력을 측정하여 통계처리 하였다. 미술과와 사회과의 통합수업 프로그램을 계획하고자 제 7차 교육과정의 교과서와 교사용지도서를 분석하였고, DBAE 학습이론과 이해학습을 위한 미술과와 사회과와의 통합수업에 대한 관련학문, 선행연구를 검토하여 이론적 고찰을 하였다. 이를 통해 미술이해학습에 기초한 사회과와의 통합프로그램을 설계하고 적용하여, 평가능력을 측정하는 연구도구 문항을 주제표현, 조형요소와 원리, 표현방법, 표현재료와 용구, 태도 등 5개 영역으로 구분하여 미술과 이해학습을 위한 표현능력 향상을 검증하기 위해 통계분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 표현능력을 측정하는 연구도구 문항들의 내적신뢰도를 검사하기 위하여 Cronbach'a Alpha값을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 실험 결과는 SPSS Ver 13.0 Program을 사용하여 통계처리 하였다. 비교집단간의 평균 비교는 t-test를 사용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과 5가지 요소들의 합인 전체 표현능력이 통제집단보다 실험집단의 표현능력 평균 점수가 더 높게 나타나고 있었다. 이는 미술표현능력에 대한 하위영역인 주제표현, 조형요소와 원리, 표현방법, 표현재료와 용구, 태도 등이 모든 평균점수에서 통제집단보다 실험집단이 더 높게 나타났으므로 DBAE 학습이론에 기초하고 있는 미술과 이해학습을 위한 사회과와의 통합적 접근 방안이 초등학교 5학년 학생의 미술표현능력향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이상의 결과에서 본 연구가 학습자의 표현능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것과 미술과 이해학습을 위하여 개발한 프로그램의 중요성을 알게 되었다. 이상의 결과들을 종합하여 본 연구를 통해 몇 가지 시사점 찾아보면 첫째, 교사는 아동의 표현능력을 향상시키기 위하여 미술과 이해학습을 위한 다양한 수업방법의 연구가 필요하며 아동들이 스스로 자신의 생각이나 경험 등을 시각화해 나갈 수 있도록 노력해야 한다. 둘째, 미술수업에서 다양한 체험을 통해 아동의 흥미를 높이고 미적 안목을 기르는데 관심을 가져야 할 것이다. 셋째, 생활 속에서 미술을 즐기고, 이해하려는 미술의 수용적 태도를 기를 수 있는 체계적이고 다양한 미술교육 프로그램을 연구가 많이 이루어 지도력 노력되어야 할 것이다.
