꽃의 구조를 응용한 도자 화기 연구

Abstract

현대사회는 특별하고 희소성이 높은, 사람들의 이목을 집중시키는 산업 예술에 관심을 둔다. 쓰임을 위해 생산된 기능품들은 향상된 가치관으로 더욱 다양한 재료와 독창적인 형태로 디자인 되었으며, 그 중 도자 제품들은 식기뿐 아니라 조명, 화기, 도벽 등 다양한 분야에 도구로써의 의미보다 오브제로써 공간을 꾸미고 감상하는 예술성이 강조된 생활 문화의 한 부분으로 자리 잡게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 화기를 주제로 하여 자연의 이미지를 대표하는 꽃을 인간의 필요에 의해 탄생된 화기에 결합하여 획일화된 디자인의 대량 생산을 목적으로 하는 화기가 아닌 예술적 가치와 완성도 높은 기술을 보여주는 일품으로서의 화기를 제작 하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 그러기 위하여 꽃이라는 주제를 이용, 꽃을 구성하는 화관과, 꽃받침, 암술, 수술을 키워드로 작품 디자인을 전개하였다. 연구의 주요소인 꽃은 수많은 자연물 중에서도 그 미적 가치가 풍부하며, 많은 예술가들이 그 속에 숨어있는 조형적인 요소를 찾아 형상화 하려는 무한한 소재로 표현되어져 왔다. 꽃은 자연으로부터 영감을 빌려올 수 있는 표현물들로 가득 차 있으며 본 연구 또한 꽃의 구조에서 보여 지는 다양한 시각적 아름다움과 대칭적 조형성을 발견하고 화기의 표현에 응용해 보고자 하였다. 각 작품은 꽃의 구조가 가지는 형태를 주관적으로 해석하고, 용기로써의 꽃을 꽂는 목적과 더불어 공간을 조형하는 표현 수단으로 확대된 화기를 표현하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 꽃의 미적 특성을 살펴보고 디자인화 하기 위한 변형의 이론적 고찰과 꽃이 가지는 조형성을 정의 하였다. 둘째, 도자 화기에 대한 고찰과 현대 오브제의 정의와 함께 오브제로써의 도자 화기를 참고 사진으로 제시하였다. 디자인 과정에서 화기의 개념과 특성을 기능적인 측면보다 꽃의 각 부분을 분리하여 그 구조를 디자인화하고, 결합하여 본래의 꽃이 아닌 새로운 형태의 꽃을 표현, 형태가 주는 심미적인 부분에 중점을 두고 꽃이 가지는 대칭과 수직의 조형성을 디자인 키워드로 열 가지의 도자 조형 화기를 제작하였다. 제작방법에서는 모든 작품을 석고 틀을 이용한 이장 주입 성형 기법을 사용하였으며, 작품 성형 시 반복 사용되는 원형은 주입 성형 후 절단과 결합을 통해 새로운 형태를 재구성하였다. 이와 같은 방법을 통해 꽃의 구조를 분해하고 그 구조를 여러 방식으로 결합함으로써 새로운 표현 방법의 도자 화기의 가능성을 모색하고자 하였다.;Modern society is concerned with art and the industry which tries new experiments that attract people’s attention. Goods produced for features are designed using a variety of materials and as an original with improved view of values. Among them, painted tableware as well as lighting products, ceramic vases, and murals are tools in various fields which decorate space in order to enjoy artistic life and settle down as a part of culture. This study aims to produce ceramic vases based on natural design features that can be felt with artistic sensibilities among changes in contemporary ceramics rather than standardized industrially designed products, combined with the structure of a flower, which represents nature and human needs. Also, the key component of flowers in this study fulfills an aesthetic value within nature, using hidden formative elements in flowers, which many artists have wanted to find and visualize. Flowers are filled with the inspiration that can be borrowed from nature and this study also tried to show a variety of kinds of visual beauty and symmetrical characteristics of flowers on the vase. Each piece tries to take a subjective view of the structure of flower and aims to represent an expanded use of the ceramic vase by putting in it a flower or modeling space with historical changes as well as considering the purpose of container at the same time. In this study, First, it explores the aesthetic characteristics of a flower and defines the transformation of a theoretical framework and plasticity of the flower. Second, through consideration of the ceramic vases, it examines changes in the concept of a vase. In the design process, ten kinds of ceramic vases were produced, each with a design keyword which focused on combining a new structural form of a flower by separating each part of the flower. The vases concept and characteristics were on the aesthetic part of vase with the symmetrical and vertical characteristics of the flowers rather than their functional aspects. In the creation process, the injection molding technique was employed, using plaster frames. As required, general injection molding and pressure injection molding was performed. During production, molding injection was used repeatedly through a combination of cuts and new forms were reconstructed. In this way, the study tried to explore new possibilities in ceramic vase construction by decomposing the structures of flowers and combining them in different ways.
