자연의 이미지를 모티브로 한 베레모(BERET)디자인 연구

Abstract

오늘날 모자는 인간 자신의 개성을 표현하는 미적 수단으로 기능을 하고 있으며, 의복과 함께 어울리는 패션 요소로서 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 이에 따라 모자는 개인의 개성적인 표현수단으로 주목받고 있으며, 패션디자이너들의 지대한 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 패션디자이너들은 표현의 수단과 더불어 아트 해트(Art to Hat)으로서 인간의 감성을 자극하는 다양한 모자 디자인을 제시하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 섬유가 갖고 있는 부드러운 촉감을 감성적인 디자인으로 풀어낼 수 있도록 ‘자연’ 이라는 소재를 통해서 모자디자인 작업에 표현하고자 한다. 이를 위해 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 나뭇잎의 곡선 형태, 바위의 단단하고 부드러운 선의 이미지, 꽃 잎사귀와 꽃 봉우리 형태, 나무의 나이테의 반복적인 이미지, 그리고 지층의 반복되는 형태와 무늬 등의 자연 이미지를 모티브로 하여 새로운 형태의 디자인을 제시함으로써 모자 디자인의 다양한 발전방향을 모색하고자 한다. 특히 모자 중에서도 군모로 유래하여 현대에 가장 안정적인 형태로 사람들에게 편안하게 사용되고 있는 베레모의 형태를 기본으로 하고, 다양하게 변형되는 모자디자인을 계획하여 제작하고자 한다. 본 논문의 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연의 선과 면의 이미지에 대해 살펴보고, 자연을 모티브로 한 다양한 디자인의 사례를 수집·분석한다. 둘째, 모자의 변천과 형태별 종류를 살펴보고, 본 연구의 기본이 되는 모자 형태로 베레모의 유래와 형태, 오늘날 패션에서 베레모 활용 사례를 수집·분석한다. 셋째, 이를 바탕으로 디자인 8그룹의 28점의 모자를 제작한다. 이러한 연구 과정을 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구에서는 모자에 인간이 자연에서 느낄 수 있는 안정감과 편안함을 디자인적인 요소로 제시함으로써, 인간은 모자 착용을 통해 감성적인 면을 충족시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 둘째, 모자 디자인은 획일화 되지 않은 다양한 형태로 제시하였으며, 이는 인간의 감성을 자극할 만한 새로운 디자인으로서 활용 가능성을 제시했다는 점이다. 셋째, 본 연구에서는 모자 디자인에 다양한 원단과 재료를 사용함으로써, 모자 디자인의 소재 사용에 있어 다양성을 열었다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다고 할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 본 연구에서 제시한 모자 디자인을 바탕으로 향후에도 다양한 방법과 형태 변형 시도를 통해 완성도 높고 감성적인 모자 디자인 개발이 지속적으로 이루어져야 하며, 모자의 원단 소재 개발에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되길 기대한다.;Hats have become a way to express one’s uniqueness and are being utilized as an aesthetic means, and is especially an ideal fashion accessory that matches the completing outfits. Thus, hats are now widely known as a personal expressive tool, and are also the target of attention of many fashion designers. In addition to hats being the expressional method to designers, it has evolved in the form of ‘art hats’ which proposes various designs that stimulates joy to the human vision. This research suggests the introduction of a new interpretation of hat design with the utilization of the softness of the material that is applied as the concept of ‘nature’. For this research, the silhouette of tree leaves, rocks’ soft and solid lines and its image, the shape of the flower blossom and petals, patterns of trees’ growth rings, and patterns on the stratum, and other nature inspired images have been utilized as the motif in order to provide new figure and forms of designs; as a part of guidance to development direction of hat designing. Specifically, berets that first originated in the design of military caps are widely being worn by the crowded is chosen to be the main model for the implications of the new designs and various development and transformations. The research content is as the following. Firstly, the patterns and images of nature have been observed and collected in order to be employed as the motif and designs. Secondly, the forms and materials, its history, and modern implications of berets in today’s fashion have been observed and collected. Thirdly, the hat was created with these informational backgrounds. The conclusion earned through the research is as the following. Firstly, the research shows that the naturalistic designs implied on the hat will satisfy the emotional aspects and provide a stable and comfortable factor that the image of nature provides. Secondly, as the hats’ shapes are produced to be separated from design unification, this proposes a new concept of being able to utilize the hat that might fulfill visual satisfaction. Thirdly, the research holds significance in providing variation in the use of different materials and fabric on the designs. Finally, the hat design development must be resumed and maintained in order to create a high quality products in varied types of ways and alteration, with the suggestions of this research as a foundation. The development of assorted fabric material research for hats is hopefully expected to be continued in the future.
