모바일 기술 변화에 대한 커뮤니케이션론적 해석

Abstract

New social and cultural phenomena that were impossible hitherto seem to appear. This can be the beginning of the new world using the technology of the internet and mobile communication. First of all, it is characterized by the variety of cultural phenomena due to the social communication change. The format of new social communication changes the established social relationship, and forms the new social norm because of the new technology. This thesis is the study of matching mobile technology with communication mode. To do so, this research investigated the relationship between communication and mobile technology in the so-called ubiquitous age. I tried to introspect this area by means of the theoretical consideration in view of cultural and natural sciences. Thus, I dealt with the post-modernism, Poster's the Mode of information and McLuhan's media theory in the chapter 2. In the chapter 3, I investigated the development of mobile technology and the tendency of service evolution in both domestic and foreign countries. In the chapter 4, I summarized technical tendency of mobile communication from the theoretical point of view and so searched the relationship between social and cultural change that is related to electronic communication and mobile phone. Then, the chapter shows the relationship between mobile phone and communication format very well. That is, the tendency of postmodernism and typography age said by McLuhan or the characteristics of electronic era reflect these in the development of mobile phone completely. Mobile phone change character language from voice telephone call and we knew that nonlinear mosaic foundation culture was converted into the foundation culture of linear logic based on the character language. From these facts, we verified that the five senses recovery and balance freedom totally could be reacted with mutual and mixing. It is also proved that as known from Poster, the support of logic transformation is contributed to non-linearity of the origin attribution of common digital media technology and out of structure, McLuhan's post typography cool media. Furthermore, I made it clear that mobile phone dose not provide fixed and determined experience of post-modernism and extend to the social norm as the part of approved social custom of the new communication format. This enables us to make total community of sensitive feeling, immediate, kaleidoscopic and mosaic experience that is formed in a moment. In conclusion, the formation of mobile communication is the recovery of five senses and balance that is based on more free thought and variety in the electronic digital communication. Therefore, we saw that mobile phone of new generation developed the convergence of cellular phone such as high technical weapon by help of the 3^(RD) generation multifunction. And this study demonstrated that mobile phone achieved the mosaic mode conveyance of post modernistic kaleidoscopic experience, which is possible to expect the poly-types and positive probability of digital media by means of five senses recovery of McLuhan post typography and simultaneously extended the social network relationship that attach importance to the relation;이전에는 결코 가능하지 않았던 새로운 사회문화적 현상들이 나타나고 있다. 그것은 바로 인터넷 기술과 이동통신의 기술을 사용한 새로운 세계의 시작이라 할 수 있는데, 무엇보다도 사회적 커뮤니케이션의 변화와 이에 따른 문화현상의 변화가 그 특징이라 할 수 있다. 새로운 기술의 등장으로 인해 가능해진 새로운 사회적 의사소통형식은 기존의 사회적 관계를 바꾸면서 새로운 사회 규범을 형성하고 있다. 『모바일 기술 변화에 대한 커뮤니케이션론적 해석: 맥루한과 포스터의 이론을 중심으로』의 본 논문은 모바일 기술과 커뮤니케이션양식과의 매치를 통한 연구이다. 본 연구는 다가오는 유비쿼터스 시대를 맞이하여 디지털 전자미디어 커뮤니케이션과 모바일과의 관계를 연구한 것으로써 모바일의 양적 팽창에 관한 기술적 편향분석에서 벗어나, 인문 과학적이고 사회 과학적 측면의 이론적 고찰을 통하여 모바일이 가져온 새로운 삶의 형태에 대한 철학적 성찰을 시도하고자 했다. 그리하여 Ⅱ장에서 포스트모더니즘과 포스터의 정보양식론 그리고 맥루한의 미디어론을 의미 있게 다뤘으며, Ⅲ에서 모바일 기술의 발달 및 서비스진화 동향 등을 국내외적으로 연구하였다. Ⅳ장에서 새로운 사회적 문화현상에 사용되는 이동통신 기술동향을 커뮤니케이션 이론적 시각에서 정리함으로써, 전자적 커뮤니케이션에 이르는 사회문화적 변화와 모바일 폰과의 관계를 찾아보았다. 그리하여 Ⅳ장에 모바일폰과 커뮤니케이션양식과의 관계가 잘 나타나 있다. 즉, 포스트모더니즘적 경향과 포스터의 전자시대에서의 특징이나 맥루한이 말한 후 인쇄 시대의 경향들이 고스란히 모바일 폰의 발달에서도 이런 경향을 반영해주고 있음을 밝혔다. 모바일 폰이 음성통화에서 문자언어로 그리고 문자언어에 바탕을 둔 선형논리의 기반문화가 비선형적 모자이크적 기반의 문화로 바뀌고 있음을 보았으며, 이로써 오감의 회복과 오감의 균형의 자유와 전체로서의 반응할 수 있는 상호 작용과 혼합작용이 가능해짐을 밝혔다. 또한 이렇게 논리전환의 뒷받침의 기반은 포스터에서 보여지듯이 탈 구조와도 그리고 맥루한의 후 인쇄 COOL 미디어와도 공통적인 디지털미디어의 테크놀러지의 근본속성인 비선형성에 있음을 밝혔다. 더 나아가 모바일 폰이 포스트모더니즘적인 고정적이고 결정된 경험을 제공하지 않고 순간에 대해 만들어지는 감성적이고 감각적이고 즉각적인 만화경적인 모자이크적 경험의 전체 사회를 가능하게 만드는 새로운 의사소통형식으로 용인된 사회적 관례의 일부로 사회규범으로 확산시킴을 밝혔다. 결론적으로 모바일 폰은 전자적 디지털 커뮤니케이션에서 보다 더 자유로운 사고와 다양성을 바탕으로 오감을 회복하고 오감의 균형에 충실한 모바일 커뮤니케이션을 형성됨을 보여주었다. 따라서 차세대모바일 폰은 제 3세대 멀티 다기능에 힘입어 첨단 무기와 같이 휴대폰 컨버전스(융합)의 급진전을 이루었음도 알 수 있었다. 그리고 본 연구를 통해 모바일 폰은 맥루한의 후인쇄의 오감의 회복을 통한 디지털 미디어의 다형성(多形性)과 적극적 개연성(蓋然性)의 가능이 기대되는 포스트모더니즘적인 만화경적 경험의 모자이크형 전달을 이룸과 동시에 관계를 중시하는 네트워크의 사회 관계로 확장됨을 밝혔다.
