현대 사회의 성윤리 문제에 관한 기독교 교육의 역할

Abstract

As our society is advancing toward urbanization, industrialization and internationalization rapidly, a great many of serious social problems such as phenomena of sexual commercialization, premarital sex, unmarried mother, human trade, impulsive sexual violence and crime of youth are emerging in our lives while traditional sexual ethics is collapsing. This study attempts to explore how christianity concerned with human salvation cope with these sexual problems on the basis of educational background and then to analyze sexual ethics of Old and New Testaments, comparing with situational ethics. This study, first, deals with the christian ethical view of Old and New Testaments. Secondly this study outlines the motives of sexual corruption caused by World War Ⅰ and Ⅱ, inquiring into an evil effect offered by development of mechanical civilization and mass media including TV, film, radio and publication business for momentary amusement and excitement. Thirdly this study examines the present problematic situsation of school education which pay whole attention on technical sides and entrance examination. It is generally recognized that christian education can not be allowed in curriculum of public school in this pluralistic society, to make matters worse, the loss of the view of value of those who are in the charge of mass communication and the sexual marketization for the pursuit of commercial profit works as impediment on christian education. Besides this study examines the sexual view of Paul Tillich which involves scientific knowledge about sexual life and christian understanding and the situational ethics of Joseph Fletcher. Finally this study researches into the role of christian education as to sex and surveys the importance of christian education based upon Old and New Testments. The conclusion is that christian education should be put in force in all aspects of life through home, school, society and church;현대 사회는 가속화된 사회변동으로 모든 면에서 개방적이고, 그 개방적 사회풍토가 성의 개방과 성의 폭발을 가져다 주었다. 그리하여 현대사회에서 성문제로 야기되는 실제적인 문제점이 性의 상품화현상, 청소년의 충동적 성범죄, 인신매매, 미혼모의 증가, 혼전 성관계 등이다. 이러한 사회문제는 결국 人間의 문제이기 때문에 人間의 구제를 강조하고 있는 기독교가 여기에 어떻게 대처 할 수 있는지, 기독교 교육적 측면에서 연구 검토하였다. 성서에서 人間의 本性의 하나인 성 문제를 어떻게 다루고 있는지, 우리 기독교인은 과연 어떻게 성을 이해하고 있는지, 또 하나님이 본래 창조 하셨던 의미는 어떤 것인지를 알아 보았다. 첫째로 기독교인들 가운데 많이 퍼져있는 오해 중의 하나는 性은 죄이고 추한 것이라는 인식이다. 이러한 생각은 더러는 性을 불결시하거나 죄악시하는 환경에서 자라난 때문이기도 하고, 性이 오용되고 착취되며, 상품화되는 것을 보고나서 생긴 부정적인 견해일수도 있다. 그러나 성서는 性을 죄된 것으로 여기지 않는다. 性은 신성하고 선한 것이다. 性이 우리에게 부끄럽고 숨기는 것이 되어버린 것은 人間의 죄 때문이다. 둘째로 기독교의 性 윤리관이 교육에서 큰 힘을 발휘하지 못하는 것은 사회의 교육제도에 문제점이 있다. 즉, 문교부 산하의 정규 학교 교육에서는 입시교육과 기능교육에 치중하고 있고, 인성 교육이 소홀한 상태이며 특히 다원화 종교로 구성되어 있는 우리 사회에서 기독교의 교리교육을 公敎育에 포함시킬수 없다는 일반론적 인식이 큰 장해요인이다. 그런가하면, 사회교육의 절대적 수단이 되고 있는 TV, 라디오, 신문 잡지 등의 대중매체에 종사하는 사람들의 가치관 不在와 상업적 이윤추구를 위한 성의 상품적 이용도 기독교 교육의 큰 저해 요인이다. 셋째, 상황윤리론자 죠셉 플렐쳐는 율법주의와 무율법주의의 중간에 상황주의를 설정하고 절대 善은 없으며 최고의 善은 사랑이라고 규정한다. 플렐쳐는 어떤 경우에 있어서든지 상황을 분석하여 옳은 길을 따르기 위해서는 항상 고려해야 할 4가지 요소가 있는데 그것은 목적, 수단, 동기, 결과라고 하였다. 넷째, 성교육에 대한 기독교 교육의 역할은 우리 사회전체 환경에서 기독교 교육을 밀바탕으로 하는 성 교육이 이루워져야 한다. 즉 가정에서는 부모가 참신앙으로 자녀를 교육시키고, 학교에서는 먼저 모든 교사들이 성교육에 대한 전문적인 지식을 갖고, 성실하게 학생들의 년령에 맞는 성교육을 지도해야 하며, 사회에서는 향락과 퇴폐문화를 추방하고, 건전한 시민윤리의식의 함양을 위한 환경을 만들어 나가야 한다. 그리고 교회에서는 성직자의 인격적인 언어, 행동을 보여 주며, 설교와 상담과 친교를 통하여 성교육이 이루워져야 한다.
