음악 콩클의 효능과 그 인식에 관한 실태조사 연구

Abstract

As concern with muic education has been heightened, there has been growing ardor about professional learning on music. Such an ardor is related to an ultime purpose of producing professional musicians, and musical concours as a means to achieve such an ultimate goal of training musicians has attracted increasing participation. In foreign as well as our countries, there are many types of musical concours sponsored by various organizations. Instead of serving as a forum for a strict evaluation to discover potential musical talent or improve musical performance, these concours are often used merely as a means to compete for awards. This study deals with general attitude or opinions of parents, educators, musicians and students about the musical concours, and the influence and effects of the concours. This study is thus intended to help improve musicaL concours in order to raise potential musicians with an eye on the development of music in Korea. In this study, the importance of talent education to raise professional musicians Has been reviewed, and historical review of musical concours has been made. In addition, international musical concours, and the types and present status of Korean musical concours havc been reviewed. A questionaire for this study was administered to 726 primary, secondary and college students in Seoul, 226 parents, 96 professional musicians and 58 educators, 1106 in all. The results art as folLows: 1. The respondents generally agree that musical concours in Korea have contributed to polishing musical talent, and are helpfuL in scoring success as musician. However, musical concours do not fairly evaluate the performance of the participants and are often treated merely as a means to win prizes. 2. Primary and middle school students are more interested in musical concours than high school and college students. High school and college students generally agree that musical concours in Korea come in limited types, thus pointing to the necessity of musical concours mainly for high school and college students. 3. Most respondents believe that real ability is instrumental to capturing prizes in musical concours. Some other respondents, however, feel that factors other than the real ability play considerable part in dictating scoring in musical concours. This indicates that evaluating system and organization involved in musicaL concours require supplementattion. 4. Teachers play an important role in inducing potential contestants to actually participate in musical concours. This indicates that the role of teachers is boundless in enhancing the meaning and quality of musical concours. 5. Most of the students surveyed said that preparation for musical concours did not hampcr their normal school lives, but 40 percent of the students said that their participation impeded normaL schooling activitics. This suggests that a special system, music art school, is required for those students who aspire for becoming professional musicians. 6. Participation in musical concours generates such desirable effects as bolstering toward learning and enduring coewer. As undesirable effects, it induces both superiority and inferiority complexes. This underscores the need to emphasise the purity of musical concours.;音樂敎育에 對한 開心이 날로 高潮되어 감에따라 專門音樂學習에 對한 熱望도 더욱 높아졌다. 이같은 熱望은 專門音業人을 만드는데 窮極的인 目標를 두게 되었으며, 훌륭한 專門音梁人을 만든다는 窮極的인 目標를 達成하기 위한 하나의 過程으로서, 音榮콩쿨의 參與가 더욱더 活發潑하게 되었다. 外國園의 경우는 물론 우리나라에서도 여러團體에서 開催하는 크고 작은 콩쿨이 있지만, 各種 콩쿨들이 音樂的 實力向上이나 音樂的 才能을 發見하기 위한 嚴格한 評價를 바라는 것과는 달리, 入賞을 위한 競爭手段으로 行하여지는 傾向이 있다. 이에 對하여 學父母, 敎育者, 音樂人 및 學生들로 하여금 음악콩쿨에 對한 認識과 必要性, 음악콩쿨의 效果와 影響等에 對하여 어떻게 생각하고 있는지 알아 보며, 나아가 음악콩쿨의 價値와 改善点을 發見하여 콩쿨의 權威를 向上시키고, 有能한 音樂人을 開發하고 養成하여, 우리나라의 音樂發展에 도움이 되도록 하기 위한것이 이硏究의 目的이다. 본 硏究에서 우선 專門音樂人을 養成하기 위한 才能敎育의 重要性을 재 검토하였고 또한 음악콩쿨을 史的으로 考察하였으며, 國際的인 콩쿨에 對한 內容을 알아보았다. 國內 여러콩쿨의 種類와 現況을 把握go 보고 이에 對한 實態調査를 다루었다. 본 硏究의 대상으로는, 서울시내의 初·中·高·大學生 726명과 學父母 226명, 專門音樂人 96명, 敎育者 58명을 상대로 質問紙를 통해서 음악콩쿨에 對한 意見을 調査하였다. 여기에서 얻은 結果는 대략 다음과 같다. 1 , 一般的으로 현재 우리나라의 음악콩쿨 實力向上에 이바지하고 있는 것으로 認識되고 있으며, 또 음악콩쿨의 必要性을 認定하고, 音樂人으로 大成하는데 도움이 된다고 응답하였다. 그러나 콩쿨중에도 실력이 公正하게 評價되고 있지않고, 入賞을 위한 競爭手段으로 行하여지고도 있음을 알 수가 있다. 2 . 우리나라에서는 國· 中學生이 高 ·大學生보다 콩쿨참여 더 많은 것으로 나타났으며 또 高·大學生이 우리나라의 콩쿨종류에 대하여 적다고 應答하였다. 이는 高等·大學生을 위한 콩쿨의 必要性을 보여주고 있다. 3 .음악콩쿨에 입상할수있는 條件으로 대부분의 사람들은 실력이라 보고 있지만, 실력외의 條件도 상당히 작용한다고도 보고 있다. 이는 현행 심사제도에 어떤 보완이 要求됨을 말해주고 있다. 4 .음악콩쿨의 出演은 指導敎師의 권유로 많이 參與하고 있는바 이는 진정한 콩쿨의 意義와 콩쿨의 參與姿勢를 위하여는 敎師의 역할이 지대함을 보여준다. 5 . 학생의 과만수가 콩쿨出演擴을 위한 準備가 평소와 아무런 差異가 없다고 하였으나 약40%의 학생은 학교수업이 支障을 받았음을 보여주고 있다. 이는 專門音樂人支이 되고져 하는 音樂學習字를 위한 特殊한 制度의 必要性을 시사하고있다. 6. 콩쿨의 出演으로 因들하여 학습의 意欲을 增進시키고 忍耐力을 길러 주는등 바람직한 影響이 있는가 하면, 優越感과 劣等感을 일으키는등 바람직하지 못한 영향을 초래한다 함은 콩쿨의 진정한 價値와 그 純粹性이 要함을 말하고 있다.
