1972년도 상반기 단편소설에 나타난 인간상 고찰

Abstract

本 論文은 1972年度 上半期 現代 文學誌에 실려 短篇小說에 나타난 人間像을 時代槪念, 精神的 狀況, 價値觀, 倫理觀에 立脚해서 考察한 것이다. 한 時代의 證人인 文學作品을 通한 現代 韓國人의 人間像을 考察해 본다는 것은 오늘의 同時代人에게 우리의 自畵像을 通해서 새로운 비젼을 提示하는 作業과 相通한다. 作品에 나타난 人物들은 不信의 時代, 不安의 時代 喪失의 時代를 살고 있으며 精神은 病들고 價直觀은 混沌돼 있고 倫理는 崩壞해 있다. 이러한 人物들의 一般的인 特性은 安易하고 無事한 日常性안에 蟄居한다는 사실이며 그들은 狀況現實을 絶對로 肯定하지 않으면서도 忠實히 適應할 수 있는 表裏不同한 人間들이며 多面體로 理解 될 수 있는 人物들이다. 이들의 意識構造에 있어서 무엇보다 結定的인 基礎를 이루는 것은 被害意識과 過去志向性이다. 따라서 그들의 疎外意識은 富와 權力에 대한 羨望과 敵對感의 變形이며 즉 갖지 못한자가 가진자에 대해 느끼는 異質感과 距離感, 孤立感과 小市民意識 以上일수는 없는 것이다. 그들은 세련되기는 했어도 꿈이나 野望이 없고,快況에 作用을 가하는 積鎭柱과 언제나 因緣이 없다. 그들에겐 靜物的인 無氣力, 對決이 아닌 包容, 感傷的 思考, 受動的인 追從이 있을 뿐이다. 狀況과의 싸움에서 敗北하는 □實로 悲劇的인 人物은 단 한 사람도 없다. 이것은 端的으로 生存意慾以上의 生活意識이나 自我意識도 갖고 있지 않다는 것을 表徵하며 그래서 極端的으로 絶望하지도 않는다. 또한 作品에 나타난 人物들은 휴메니티를 결여한 휴메니스트 들이다. 그들은 人間의 尊嚴性을 守護하기 위한 本來的인 人間의 意味를 □失의 위기로 부터 防御하기 위한 意圖보다 비대해가는 權力構造 팽배해가는 절금사상에 대한 個人的인 慾求不滿과 不平을 배설하기에 분주하다. 그들은 利己的이며, 미온적이며, 觀念的이며 枝葉的인 人間들이다. 여기에 1972年度 上半期 作品을 通해 유추된 人間像의 問題点이 있는 것이다. 이는 結果的으로 作家는 새로운 비젼을 提示해줄 理想的인 人間像의 創造에 □心하지 않았으며 作家意識과 作象精神은 安易한 타성속에서 現實만을 反□하고 있다는 事實을 반증 하는 것이다. 作家는 狀況現實의 報告者, 社會狀況의 記者여서는 안될것이며 社會의 개혁에 病든 精神의 치유에 올바른 가치질서의 確立에 倫理의 再健에 새로운 人間型의 創造에 공헌해야 할 것이다.;This article is to review and consider the various characters in the short stories which have been published in the ""Hyun Dae Mun Hak"" during the first half 1972, especially in the light of social background, spiritual situation, value, ethics. Literature is a witness of its age. In this sense, it will suggest a new vision for us in a contemporary generation to analyse the characters in a literature pieces which reflect its society. In general, the characters are drifting in lost, distrustful uneasy age. And so, their souls become sick, their Values caostic, their ethics callapsed. Their isolation comes from the envy for wealth and power, that is, the isolation of the have nots, for the haves. Among them, there is really no one of tragedy who is defeated in the struggle to protect human diginity and acoording to circumstance, they can be optimist or pessimist. They are completely assimilated with the actual. Therefore, without any nodding present surrounding, they adopt themselves to it, they can ride the survival in one thought and another dead. They are always conscious of sufferer, escaper from the actual, past-oriented. In a word, the characters are teasily defeated people who have neither vision nor fontier spirit. Though we face hard time, defeated situation, writers should create new characters who can challenge the hardship and rebuild a new society with courage and confidence
