한국무용동작의 정서표현 특성 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the emotion-specific dance expression of Korean dance movements with a hypothesis that dance is a symbolic media of communication. A total of twelve expert (dancer with an approximately 22 years of dancing career participated in this experiment. All subjects were asked to perform emotion expressive dance courses, which were subjected to video recording in order to examine the difference of emotion-specific expressive characteristics. The best absorbed one dance course was selected from 'Dancer's rating‘ the dancers checked out right after performance, Except one dancer's course because of performing mime expression mainly. A total of twenty-two dance courses drawn from eleven dancers by two emotion was subjected to analysis using Eyesweb 4.5. movement analysis programme in terms of 1) Quantity of motion(QoM), 2) Contraction Index(CI) and 3) Stability of Index(SI). Statistical analysis (e.g. paired t-test) were also done in order to find out differences in three measures of dance movement characteristics as a function of emotions to express via dance movements, i.e., joy and anger. This research had the following results. First, The significant difference of the emotion-specific dance course was verified by paired t-test of Quantity of motion(QoM), Contraction Index(CI), Stability of Index(SI). Second, the four movement styles's movement list and the range of Q/ C/ S mean value were detected. Finally, the joy expression of korean dance has high QoM, the arms were moved naturally along with body trunk continuing repeated rhythmic steps. The one step or two step by up and down of barycenter and one step by right and left side of barycenter made joyful rhythm generally. When dancer get in high joyment, the repeated rhythmic steps became dynamic jump and leap. The anger expression of korean dance has high QoM, is made from suddenly shifts and changes level of baricenter and aggressive throwing the arms. The typical expression of anger consist of rolling follow jump, falling backward, throwing dancer's arms etc. but rarely there is an expression that has low QoM, slow sustained while trembling highly tension because the internalization of anger.;본 연구는 무용을 상징적 소통 매체로 보고 한국무용의 정서적 표현 특징을 알아보는 것이 목적이다. 정서에 따른 표현적 특징의 차이를 알아보기 위해 춤 경력 22.5± 5.2년의 한국무용 전문가 12명에게 정서표현(기쁨표현, 분노표현) ‘춤 과정’을 시행하게 하고 영상으로 기록하였다. 시행 직후 무용수가 직접 작성한 ‘무용수용 검사지’를 근거로 무용수별로 정서표현의 집중도가 높았던 1개의 춤 과정을 선별하였고, 선별 결과 마임표현이 강했던 1명의 춤 과정을 제외하고 22개(정서 2차원 ✕ 11명 무용수)의 춤 과정이 분석대상으로 추출되었다. 정서표현 동작분석 프로그램인 Eyesweb 4.5로 분석하여 1/30초 단위로 동작의 총량(QoM), 신축지수(CI), 안정지수(SI)의 변수값을 얻었다. 측정 결과를 토대로 대응 t-test로 분석하여 기쁨표현 춤 과정과 분노표현 춤 과정에 대한 3가지 변수가 정서에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는 지를 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 얻은 결과는 첫째, 동작의 총량(QoM), 신축지수(CI), 안정지수(SI)가 측정한 동작에 사용된 에너지의 총량, 변수의 시간적 흐름과 국면의 특성, 공간 안에서의 사지의 수축과 확장, 신체중심의 변화 추이를 통해 한국무용 춤 과정의 기쁨표현과 분노표현의 유의한 차이를 검증하였다. 둘째, 4개의 동작형에 속하는 춤 동작들의 Q/ C/ S 평균 범위를 산출하였다. 한국무용의 정서표현 특징을 종합하면, 한국무용 기쁨표현 춤 동작은 전반적으로 사용된 에너지 수준이 높고, 반복적 리듬이 지속되면서 팔은 몸통에 자연스럽게 수반되어 움직인다. 반복적인 리듬은 기쁨표현의 강도가 세지면 역동적인 뛰어 오르기와 건너뛰기가 되고, 보통의 경우엔 무릎의 굴신으로 무게중심의 상하이동을 하는 걷기나 두발 걷기가 주를 이루거나 무게중심을 장난스럽게 좌우로 옮기는 동작으로 표현된다. 분노표현 한국무용 춤 동작은 대부분 에너지 수준이 높은 격렬한 신체중심의 이동과 변화로 표현되고, 팔을 사용하여 공격적이고 폭발적인 분노를 표현한다. 뛰어 올랐다가 구르기, 뒤로 넘어지기, 팔 휘두르기 등의 동작이 분노를 표현하는 전형적인 동작들이지만 분노의 감정을 내재화시킨 채 에너지 수준은 떨어지고 속도는 느려지지만 긴장감은 강하게 유지되는 전율을 통해 분노를 표현하는 동작들도 나타나는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
